Torture, arresting Corellians, token speciesism, being rude to old family friends, trying to kill old family friends, trying to kill family (and succeeding), conspiring with old family enemies, kidnapping small children, using the dark side of the Force...
Jacen is definitely getting sent to bed with no dinner.
Jasper was raised all proper and was a pretty good kid so I don't think he got yelled at much. Maybe a slap on the back of the head for taking the Lord's name in vain, but that's about it.
Revan got 'yelled' at a lot by the Jedi Masters for being too pertinacious and doing his own thang way too often.
And Scorpius doesn't get yelled at so much reminded. But, if he does get yelled at, it's usually for doing something silly. Like blowing up his dad's potion's lab.
Knox's father yelled at him about everything. He was that kind of dad.
Kirk's mother sometimes thought he wasn't paying enough attention to some of his schoolwork (the parts that he decided at age 8 were irrelevant to being in Starfleet).
Charlie was an orphan and Cyborg still misses his mother, so they have asked me not to ask them.
And Gibbs' mother would probably be really upset he became a pirate.
Turning into a rabbit. 'Miji got kicked out of the house over that one, really - at age five.
I don't think his maids, after he left home, yelled much? But I'm pretty sure that the little rabbit-boy was a huge pest at that age. He was totally the kind of kid who was still carrying a stuffed animal as a constant companion at eight years-old, and that was probably just a drop in the bucket.
Mallory got scolded for making her brothers lick the carpet, and many other forms of sibling torture.
Rapunzel never knew her parents, but her gaurdian not only yelled at her for being a 'slut', but locked her in a tower for several years, then cursed her.
Bobby's parents do not like the fact that he is a mutant, and her father (being a huge bigot) yells at him for being different.
Liza was yelled at for everything, pretty much. Her mother was kind, but her father was contantly trying to toughen her up with beatings and scolding.
Well, Gert would get told of for constantly asking questions and questioning her parents authority. Or joining the socialist club without her parents permission.
When Helena told her father she prayed for him to be dead, he decided that she should 'take over the family business'. He probably would have yelled at her if she'd told him she hadn't prayed though. She'd also get told off for voicing the idea that she wanted to join up with Batman and take down the mafia.
Ray: Not playing with his little sister more, or in one memorable case attempting to imitate Tarzan on the backyard weeping willow and breaking his ribs.
Whistler: Pestering his older sister or ignoring his teachers in class.
Belar: Creating Gara. Seriously, UL didn't want the seven younger Gods to create Gara the way they did, and he spent some quality time sulking when they ignored him.
Gordon: Didn't get yelled at much, as he was rather a quiet child, but after he knocked out two of his brother's teeth his mother would snap at both him and his brother a lot for fighting.
Adrian Shephard: Failure to treat his mother's beehives with proper respect. Seriously, his parents saw nothing wrong with the kids doing all kinds of crazy or dangerous things, but his mother would flip out if any one of them treated the beehives poorly. Also he'd get yelled at for laxity in his chores, but that wasn't all that common.
Mulan: Sloppy weaving, hurried or rushed sewing jobs. Yes, I have to bring her back in.
Medic: Ignoring Grandfather or Grandmother's calls to come here right now. Usually because he was doing something else, like studying or playing with his chemistry set.
Ellen: Her father didn't yell at her much, but the Vault Overseer really didn't like her father, and by extension, disliked Ellen pretty intensely. So she got reprimanded a lot by the Overseer for anything that wasn't up to perfectionist standards.
Bumblebee: Got thumped in the head by Bluestreak for excessive recklessness, whenever Bluestreak could catch him. Technically Sideswipe and Sunstreaker were his early guardians, but Bluestreak was part of their cohort, so it was basically like being whapped by his uncle instead of his dad.
Ironhide: Kup didn't like young Ironhide's overly speculative streak, and periodically gave him flack for it.
Mia was an obedient, eager to please child, so any sort of mischief-making she got into after getting out of the obligatory Terrible Twos stage didn't happen until she was a teenager.
But, being a prodigy in magic, I can see her trying to use it in the wrong place and time, especially since school started a lot earlier for her than it does for the Hogwarts types. So if Mama and Ghaleon got on her case, it was likely because of that.
If anyone suggests that she's forgetful, she'll cry and/or punch something in the face. Don't mess around about an Ausa's memory.
Ben Wade: Being rambunctious while a) Papa Wade got his drink on or b) when his mama got her whorin' on.
Kate Warner: Biting her nails and picking at her cuticles; these are habits she's mostly broken, but reverts to them unconsciously when she's super-stressed.
Lan's guardians didn't yell. They were just grave and disappointed, and gave him lectures about honor and combat becoming of a Malkieri warrior and such. A grave stoic warrior being disappointed in you is totally worse than yelling.
River, I suspect, got scolded for all the normal mischief a child gets into, and about doing the homework that she didn't like as well as math and physics. And to hold still when they were brushing her hair.
Piotr is another one with a normal childhood. Mischief, getting in his older brother's way, failing to mind his manners, ignoring his homework to doodle. (I suspect a lot of the latter.) Saying anything that might be taken as criticism of the government, probably.
Regan's childhood was similar to River's, in this. Except with less math and physics, and more chiding to make sure she kept up her grades because colleges and employers look at that later, and you want to succeed, don't you? Also I think she used to bite her nails, which she has nearly forgotten because she broke the habit years ago.
Trowa... uh. He grew up as a child soldier among mercenaries with questionable parenting skills. I suspect that what he got yelled at for is mostly the same stuff you'd yell at any raw recruit for -- take care of your equipment, watch where you're pointing your gun, stay in formation, you need to fuel your body even if you don't like tonight's dinner so eat up, soldier. Probably also some gentle scolding that it's okay to talk, kid, which he may or may not have responded to.
Edel: showing signs of personality or agency! Although the term "childhood" doesn't really apply. Unless you count Uzura, in which case she gets (deservedly) yelled at for getting into EVERYTHING and repeating awkward things loudly and poking curiously around where she isn't wanted, and otherwise being the toddler she is.
A grave stoic warrior being disappointed in you is totally worse than yelling.
Oh, word — and along the same lines, quiet anger is so much scarier than yelling. When my dad was truly upset with me or my brothers, he got uber-calm and quiet, and would talk in a really low, even, clipped voice that terrified me.
Elle - Killing and/or maiming people. Or failing to do so correctly. It's my own canon that Elle's father has actually only rarely ever raised his voice to her - pretty much because he has passive-aggressive bullying down to an art form. It's also, of course, what she remembers being yelled at for.
Caprica and Sharon don't have parents. Or, well, at least not that would be useful here. In Sharon's false memories, she'd be most often yelled at for wandering off when she wasn't supposed to - Troy wasn't exactly the safest place in the Colonies.
And Carla I'd imagine got the most grief from her mother for going out and not relaying where she was going, when she'd be back, etc. This pretty much never stopped.
Raph started both in a fit of pre-teenage rebellion.
Mike, well Mike learned the hard way the dangers of drinking, but the smoking thing is something new to him. Started when he shared brain space with Bernard, and has somewhat picked up more frequently now that he has access to so much pot.
Oh yeah, the pot too.
I can see Splinter facepalming from here.
Now that I think on it, Raph pretty much lying by omission about his true nature would probably earn him a right thumping from his sensei as well. Er...both of them.
Blarg, why am I up and about this early? Oh, that's right, work.
*sighs and hates on opening*
The good thing is, I'm actually concious and have a bit of time to answer the DE \o/
When Bill was wee he was a total sugar bandit and would get in trouble for eating sugar packets. It was his uncle Charlie's fault, as the man was a trucker and always had a glovebox full of assorted condiments. Whenever he rolled into town Bill would get in there and make himself sick. Bill would also nom jelly packets and honey, and his mother could never make a cake without losing batter and frosting in the process.
Being raised on an army base, Hellboy was into everything and was in trouble a lot for being where he wasn't supposed to be. And, of course for sneaking out. Some things never change.
Logan stabified someone. The guy killed his dad, but that still led to Logan having to run away and crazy stuffs.
Puss fought with his siblings and ran away a lot to have adventures.
Billy killed people. And stole stuff. And laughed far too much for anyone's good. Again, some things don't change.
The Tick's origins are a mystery to everyone, including himself, but somehow Grover from Sesame Street is connected >.>
And, Pleakly I need to still figure out. And play more *fails about*
TOM HAD NO PARENTS!!! SUCH A CRUEL QUESTION! :-P No doubt it would have been the "stop being so creepy and evil" habit.
Hey, Mojo was an orphan, too. SO SAD!
Bela's answer is above. She wishes she'd been an orphan.
Oh hey, look, another orphan! When she was little, Ingress got fussed at by her parents for breaking things and having way too much energy for her own good. That's still pretty much the case now for her quasi-parents. I bet she gets sassy with Door a lot, too.
Jane is still getting yelled at by her mother and I think the things haven't changed that much: reading, speaking up a bit too often, forgetting her chores since she wants to write.
Demeter's family is rather insane and the thought of a lot of young gods and Kronos and Gaia and Rhea watching over them honestly terrifies me. I think if Dem got yelled at for anything, it was for doing things to her brothers, it was all payback but still.
Will's parents didn't really yell at him that much since he just kept trying, the yelling came much more from the guards and people he was stealing from. His parents are I think too tired to yell too much and they were grateful that Will was somehow still alive. They don't fully agree with him being an outlaw but they're not going to yell at him for it.
The Pirate King got in lots and lots of trouble, that's why he left. I can imagine that he did everything ranging from rolling in the hay with the maids to lots of fights with the stable boys.
Tumnus, I really can't think of Tumnus getting in trouble. Maybe his father yelled at him when he burned some food or got distracted by books or such but that's all I can think of.
For Ianto, it would be things like not trying hard enough and not living up to his potential.
GreenJack, of course, has no parents. Unless the universe itself counts.
For 1941!Jack, with the backstory I've given him he wasn't a kid who got yelled at: he wanted to please his parents, whether they responded or not. (Though I imagine, given the time he grew up in, there wasn't so much yelling when he disobeyed as getting a beating. Spare the rod and spoil the child, etc.)
For Pamela, it would mostly be "there's no such thing as ghosts, now go to bed already" types of things.
Amanda- stealing Vicki- getting into fights Tim- nothing he is a total brown noser Alucard- Um well if I rememebr later canon correctly I think killing people.
River Song: She had a child's embarrassing habit of telling adults exactly what she was thinking at the time she was thinking them. And as she was an only child, this often involved mortifying moments at dinner parties when she told her father's colleagues exactly why she thought his theory of nomadic cultural taxonomies was deeply flawed and exactly how he could remedy through proper research. She was nine, and never got invited back to those kinds of dinner parties which was perfectly fine with her.
Fiona would often follow her brothers on their nightly shenanigans, and they'd chase her off or make her stay home, until the one night when she saved them all from prison by shooting off a string of Chinese firecrackers, sending the Brits running and making her the hero of their little gang for the rest of the summer.
Olga was a proper young lady, a fact she often regrets to this day.
Mills would have been in serious trouble if his father found out that he was behind the neighborhood bully getting trapped in the local liquor store. Naked. With a tub of Crisco and a goat.
The Devil: she is still being punished by daddy for that whole 'rebellion in heaven' thing. I am assuming it involved yelling of cosmic proportions
Ben Winchester was actually sabotaged by his parents, but I don't think they yelled at him much. Both mom and dad are more the passive aggressive type.
Ryu was a good boy, maybe around 18-19 he was yelled at for dating Irene Lew.
I can see Philip Marlowe being yelled at for snooping on everything. Boy was way too curious.
CJ was raised in a stereotypical 1980's ghetto, I do not think there was much he was NOT yelled for. Starting with larceny and theft, going into fights.
Ben: As a kid, running with gangs. As an adult, his diet. Aunt Petunia rolls her eyes every time she visits.
Val: Nothing. You try rebelling against Doctor Doom.
Usagi would often got into trouble by exploring the mountains around his village and not returning home in time. Also he go into a lot of fights because he never knew when to back down.
