I am going to tear my face off in frustration.

Also, myself and another intern got shanghai'd to a different branch of [workplace] yesterday afternoon to help with cataloguing. Which, woo change of scenery - except the person in charge of said endeavour, coming from the office next door to ours, said at 1:30, "I'll meet you there at 2." And then went back to his office, having 100% declined to, you know, offer us a lift there or anything. In his car. Which he owns.

So off we go on our 20-minute Very Brisk Walk to the Luas stop, pay €3 each for return tickets, hop on, and make it there only 10 minutes late. Cataloguing is so dusty that my cardigan may never be the same again. I still can't get my nails clean.

Leaving [workplace branch], I discover that I have lost my Luas ticket in the maze of bays and shelves, and end up trekking about a mile to find an ATM. On the way back, as I trudge along a long stretch of road without shelter, a Luas rounds the green. It dings merrily as it passes me, and flashes its receding tail lights as the sky, without warning, opens and dumps water on me like only the Irish sky can.

A second Luas passes me on my way back to the stop; when I finally squelch my way onto the platform, literally dripping water, I discover that someone has spat - yes, SPAT - on the touchscreen ticket vendor. Right on the station I need to get to, as well. I vomit a little in my mouth, manage to get my ticket anyway, and turn around to be confronted by a helpless, hapless tourist, who needs to get to the same stop I do. And who, it just so happens, neither speaks sufficient English nor knows Dublin well enough to navigate the touchscreen ticket vendor. The spittle-flecked touchscreen ticket vendor.

Yep.

Eventually, I stagger off the Luas back in the city centre, discover that once again I have no change, and have to go traipsing around to acquire bus fare. I do this fairly quickly, as I am kind of keen to get home and not be sopping wet anymore, but as it turns out, I needn't have bothered, because I end up waiting half an hour for the bus. On a bridge. Which is not a sparkly unicorn-filled bridge, but rather a very wide one that is open to every blast of wind coming up the Liffey.

Today, I do not feel so good.

So I was watching an old episode of Mary Tyler Moore - Hulu rules! - and there is an incidental character named Bella Swann. Not a vampire-loving teen but an old lady who was serving as Ted Baxter's agent and shrewdly tricked Lou Grant into letting Ted do commercials. Naturally, I did a double take.

Well, I'm doing all right, for once. The giant file restore I had to stay at work until 8:45 last night to see through got done, and we're working on moving it over now. The office is relatively quiet. I'll be dropping my martial arts class without a fuss tonight so I can rearrange my finances a bit, and then it's probably going to be cool enough out that I can ride my bike for a while before dark. And I might be able to get Starbucks in a bit, too, once the lines die down out there.

Plus I've prewritten my next two Ellen OOMs, and the TF2007 contingent's getting started on the Rise of the Fallen AU plot in earnest, so we're good.

So, yesterday was kinda a really crappy day.

First day of school, which is nice, but...also found out I'm sick, and my body is swelling up without my knowledge or consent. Bad body!

My sister is also talking about getting a divorce from her husband which bummed me out to no end.

So here I am, pouting during my hour and a half before I have to go to my class.

Well, I woke up literally ten minutes before I was due to be at work; the baby was not a) awake, b) changed, c) dressed or d) fed. Texted my mate to day I'd be late, got the baby ready, got her to nursey, got to work forty five minutes late to be confronted by my angry boss because said mate didn't start work for another fifteen minutes and therefore, said boss didn't have any clue that I was late.

Will have bad karma due to blaming lateness on baby needing to go to the doctor, which she didn't.

And then was confronted by horrific employee/employer grading forms where we're forced to grade ourselves on performance/attitude/attendance etc (would have to happen on the day I was forty five minutes late, obv) - gave myself a C for attitude and wrote that the place sucks, so that will no doubt get 'discussed' tomorrow in the review.

Today is fired. Expect a petulant teenager bartending shift tonight. Bah.

It's end of summer, classes are starting up again. Also lack of major holidays, or people just drained from vacations. Or vacations weren't long enough.

Anyway, had a slow start due to body of bleah. Calls been steady. Least weather's ok. And the AC doesn't feel like arctic blast levels.

Also I have new favorite canon(Being Human), and a headvoice that's loud already (George). Been testing him in MM and he's lovely.

It's raining, which I actually like, but it's cold in my office, which I don't, and I have to create 100 orders one at a time for QA testing and this makes baby jeebus cry.

BUT. I have hit my monthly wordcount goal for the first time since, I think, April, and my story for a fic exchange got posted and is getting good feedback.

So I think today is not fired, but may have to be talked to later.

I had to cancel work for a dentist appointment which was then canceled by the dentist 30 minutes before I was due to be there. Oh yeah, to say I was pissed off would be an understatement.

Then I have to try and wrangle estate agents to do what my flatmate (who is Norway for the summer HUZZAH! -_-) needs them to do so we can have a flat this Saturday.

Then I mowed my mothers lawn with my shiny new lawn mower.
