Sooooo. You know what I realised earlier we haven't done in a very long time?
Synchronised IC PMSing!
And I thought, self, it was pretty entertaining to read last time, and you didn't really have a character who could... participate, as such, but now you have two, so why not suggest it?

I don't have any links on hand, but a few years ago (I think this was at least 2006) someone proposed that, as in most every group of women in the same place for long enough, there would come a point where most of them were PMSing at the same time. No external magic influencing it, just people's cycles lining up. Hilarity(?) ensued.

Basically, we'd pick a couple of days (probably a weekend) and let people who want to participate toss in their hormonal ladies. From there, hilarity(?) could again ensue. (The men of the bar would, of course, be wise to be on their guard.)

So: For now, I'm just trying to gauge the interest level. Comment if you'd be up for that, if you think I'm crazy, if you think this would be awesome but should wait a while, whatevs. (Amy: It occurred to me as I set about typing that this would impact Mother Nature like whoa, so if you have particular objections/timeframe concerns, say the word. She wouldn't have to be involved in Every Single Thread, but I imagine she'd at least by very handwavily busy.)

My only female charrie, only rarely played, is a goddess. I don't know if the Egyptian goddess of justice would get periods, but the idea in general is hilarious...

Sadly I only have two female pups. One as her journal name states is immortal and so doesn't have a period. The other only joined bar this month and already has enough problems...now that I think about it.

I'll be bowing out. The whole idea is, as it was back then, a little bit distasteful to me. Last time there was far too much pushing of the stereotype of how PMS "should be" and the whole thing left me feeling very uncomfortable.

Ditto. Some OOC conflict rolled out of that, I recall. It's kind of a funny idea but the experience itself is not one I'm keen to repeat.

Someone playing a doctor was having him hand out general painkillers, heat packs, and so on. He got dogpiled in and out of character for medicating people without prescription and more. He didn't take it gracefully, the people dogpiling him didn't take it gracefully, lots of hurt feelings grew out of it. Seeing as I knew both people who objected to his IC actions and attitude as well as people who were his friends it kind of dominated my Flist for a while.
