I think my weekend was pretty amazing. A trip to New York and my first Broadway show (which was spectacular). We're heading back down towards Florida again today and will meet up with alchemistseraph tomorrow, which will just top off the whole experience. :D
I ended up with a pulled/displaced rotary cuff, a dislocated finger, four sprains in my wrist/hand, and now possibly I need a cast because my arm has lost function.
When you're a jobless bum like me, every weekend's the same. And when your sister's schedule doesn't let off for Labor Day, that means you're waking up on Monday whether you want to or not.
But my weekend was tiresome. We had my niece's first birthday party and I was the gopher for last minute party foods and I helped make cream cheese wontons. I was so worn out, but I did get to enjoy the party. The wontons came out all right (And I wouldn't mind having some now), I tried out Singstar for the first time and did pretty good, and I was utterly delighted to find that my niece loves to carry around the blanket I crocheted for her and in fact took it back from her father at least three times during the party. The cake was really good, too, and I got a souvenir purple monkey plate.
I got next to nothing I wanted to get done, done. Oh well.
And Friday, my stupid power cable stopped being recognized by my laptop, so I can't take it with me to class because the battery won't charge. Guh. I've ordered a new one, but it's not scheduled to be in until "On or before Sept 15th". Guh!
I did cook, and brought quite a bit of it back here with me. Is yummy cooking too.
Yep. We didn't go to the fireworks (which bums me out more than a bit, but oh well), and I worked yesterday - but I might get time-and-a-half for those four hours. I'm not counting on it, but I might.
Kind of? Went to Cape May on Sunday. The dog was a bit weirded out with the waves at first, but she got the hang of wading in the surf. Was good weather, and nice at least until the sand flies got too bad. But by the truck with the dog, there was a good breeze keeping us cool.
Also got a doctor's appt for tomorrow morning about an ongoing issue. :p
Steph, I could've had the chance to have dinner with Alessandro Juliani on Sunday, AND I MISSED OUT. D: D: D:
and they switched up the one reliable bus route that goes by my apartment so it is neither reliable nor going past my apartment anymore. I wanna go back to Atlanta. Hmph.
Mostly but that was by finishing the slow crash that ate last week. I pull myself together on Sunday and finished up an app for a new character. *crosses fingers* I am now doing better and predict this will last for about two or three weeks. Yay for short week for this one though.
P.S. Why does my tea mug taste like coffee? I don't drink coffee. P.P.S. Send help. The spaghetti squash are taking over the back yard and I fear they shall cover not only our driveway but the neighbor's.

I am looking forward to actually spending a weekend at home this week. Not that I don't love traveling, but three weekends in a row is a lot.
