Baseball Wrap Up and Thank Yous

Milliways’ first baseball game is done, and now the players and the spectators get to party. And I make one last baseball backroom post.

The observant may already have noticed that the game ended in a massive demon bunny invasion. That’s been deliberately left pretty vague – if they were there in any capacity, feel free to reference your pups’ reactions, whether fleeing in terror or joining in the fray. But please don’t damage the diamond – no pulling pieces off the bleachers, etc. Because . . .

With Bing’s kind permission, the Milliways baseball diamond remains, outside not too near the lake, for anyone’s use, and for as long as people choose to use it.

Finally, I want to thank the following the people:

The amazing muns who offered up their pups as Enigmas and Paradoxes (and guinea pigs in a heck of an RP experiment). It has been a thrill to work with you all, to see what you’ve all come up with, to laugh with you in chat, and to create something this much fun.

Everyone who got involved in other ways – sending pups to talk to the players, coming to watch the game, helping with practice session, working on the field, suggesting team names, finding ways to incorporate this ball game into your RP. You each added something to this plot, and I’m glad and grateful that you did.

Bing and Aspen, who both took it upon themselves to rewrite songs for the entertainment of us all, mun and pup alike. It was above and beyond, and you both rock.

Heather, who wrote the best coda in the history of baseball, anywhere, ever.

Lynne, who served as sounding board and sanity check throughout the entirety of this plot and was just generally awesome.

Steph, who unhesitatingly sent her sparklepire to be a truly dazzling team captain, with all that entailed.

And Joan, coconspirator extraordinaire, without whom none of this would have happened.

Thank you, everybody. It’s been completely unreal . . . in all the very best ways.

Oh, man, thank you. :D I had a fabulously fantastic amount of fun, and I am duly impressed with how you guys pulled it off.

*presents you with victory pie!*

YOU DID MAAAH-VELOUS, DAHLING!

Dude, seriously, you made this plot just come ALIVE, and handled it like an absolute pro. I am consistently boggled by how well-thought out everything was.

I haven't read the whole game, beginning to end, yet, but I'm going to do that soon and hopefully join the par-tay! Thanks again for all the memories! :D

It was great fun! We win at conquering time zones, too!
