Sunday Indulgences!

Hello, all! What have you done this week that you're proud of, RP or otherwise? What have other people done that you've enjoyed? Pimps of all sorts are welcome!

I've been looking forward to Sunday Indulgences all week, so I could advertise our Gundam-Wing-comes-to-Princess Tutu crossover episode, "The Cursed Weapon (Scherzo Phantastick)". It begins, as all stories must, with once upon a time, and moves towards its TRAGIC ENDING here. There may possibly be a blooper reel.

Things with which I was not involved, but which are nevertheless awesome:

Puck and Havelock recreate an Eddie Izzard routine.

Blodwen Rowlands creates havoc; its effects are felt by Sameth, Alanna, Mary Lennox, Sabriel, Ace, Ryan and River Song, Detta Walker, and, hilariously, Agent K.

Ace and Raven encounter zombies, to which I can only say OMGWTF.

If someone can find me all the threads explaining why Ramon Salazar was a tree, I'd love to read them. The ones I did find were hilarious, and context would be even better!

Not really threads, but I was able to drive from Arkansas to Georgia in one day. And I was successfully able to navigate to a mall I saw ONCE and back with a minimum of getting lost!

I also have shiny Terry Prachett book thanks to finding said mall. Huzzah!

I went and was a big-G Goth in RL. I was quite content with my costume, and got a massively dramatic looking bruise from archery. And a sahs -- also known as seax, but I prefer using the Gothic version of the word.

Ooh, nifty! I didn't know that was the Gothic word, and comparative philology makes me happy. The sahs/seax/knife is beautiful, too. I hope the bruise doesn't hurt too much.

Odetta meets Ellen Harvelle, Ingress, Guppy and Anthy on her first day in the Bar, while Detta resolutely refuses to bond with Ramon, Elle and River, then shows up to menace Guppy and Anthy.

Then there's the giant thread you linked, where Detta tries to burn down the bar and is interrupted by Raven, Elle and the bar, and Blodwen, variably; and is treated for her poisoning by Guppy as well as Enzo and Grover. Odetta peacefully observes the horses.

Finally, Odetta returns alone to share her memory book with Detective Munch and Ginny Weasely.

I brought Applegate into the bar, and he promptly tried to talk Fiona into selling her soul in exchange for Applegate de-treeing Ramon (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/22377963.html?thread=988148971#t988148971). I had such a blast with that thread.

IRL, I succeeded in neither throwing my iPod touch across the room nor committing suicide while attempting to read the final chapter of A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. (The iPod is relevant because I was using the Amazon Kindle app to read it, and my general response to infuriating books is to throw them against the wall.) I failed to finish the book, but my tech and myself are both intact, so I count that as a win.

I gave Moist a post - and new icons, courtesy of Fall Fandom Free-For-All. (This one might be my favorite, since I like icons of people pointing, but my favorite of the new keywords is 'idk my bff Doc?' XD)

In other news, I wrote some Harry Potter/Warehouse 13 (there may be a second bit, just to have a try at Artie's perspective on the incident), and I am v. tempted by jossverse_bb. V. v. v. tempted.

First off, I have to say that reading your Fakir for really the first time was such a joy! I don't even know canon and he seems awesome. (Am I sympathizing with him too much ...?)

This week I entered dangerousbotany and she's had threads with Mary Lennox, Raven, Demeter, Lorne, Saffron, and several assorted superpeople. She also is meeting Steph Brown in slowtime! You are all brilliant and playing Ivy is crazy fun.

I am also proud of in-progress Havelock-Puck OOM, but right now it's a secret!

I didn't have much time for RPG this week yet still managed to get Grover involved with the Ramon-tree (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/22377963.html?thread=988009451#t988009451) and poisoned Detta. The Detta thread started here with Enzo yelling for help (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/22387480.html) and is still in progress over here (http://community.livejournal.com/milliways_bar/22386207.html?thread=988450079#t988450079) but should finish tomorrow.

Grover is worried about interfering with Demeter's work but hopes she won't be mad at him for helping the woman who seemed to love that tree so much.

What I really did that is woot worthy is host a birthday party for my daughter. Keeping ten, seven-year olds entertained in 90 degree heat without them turning on each other was one heck of a challenge but we managed. A secret to share if you are ever in that situation, water balloons.
