Cal doesn't really have one. I Millicanoned his world as being a musical one, so recorded music serves a different purpose there - people find their music at around roughly the end of adolescence, so recorded music exists for children and teenagers to have a musical outlet. So Cal finds it weird to listen to recorded music, because it's still, to him, something for kids.
Javert doesn't have time for that sort of indulgent nonsense.
Clay claims a local band called the Deadites (which is me honoring Sam Raimi's taste for in-jokes) as his favorite, but secretly he likes classical music best. Especially Chopin. And he wishes that Billy Joel would do some more instrumental pieces. He can't help it. It's what he grew up with.
Applegate, contrary to popular assumption, does not prefer the wailing of the damned as they writhe in eternal agony. It gives him a headache.
