Weekend Entertainment
Its Saturday morning and I'm at work and we've had one question so far, so I'm going to post something. I hope no one minds but I need something to distract me.
If your pup were to write a book, what would it be about?
Or alternatively, talk about threads you want to see or something amazing that you've read or seen lately. Its far too quiet here in the Graduate Library.

Totally unexpected.
And nerdy. <3

So cool!

I think its because there's this huge hole in Narnian history with just the White Witch and he doesn't like it.

I think the same applies to Albus!
There are so many different versions of what happened (people trying to forget, so they gloss over things; other people remember things terribly vividly but possibly not wholly accurate, etc. etc. etc.) in the Great War, that he could never get a straight, consistent story. All he knows for sure is that Bad Stuff happened, and it took some time to rebuild their society afterward.

So he's trying to put the pieces together along with keeping a record of how the Pevensies are ruling since he was right at the beginning.
I think a part of it is that he lost time when he was a statue and that still bothers him a lot so his natural historian tendencies are just a bit more.

I ... unfortunately have yet to finish reading it, myself.

Jane is quite famous for writing her books.
Tumnus is working on a history of Narnia that he worries about and enjoys.
I could see one day, Sameth sitting down as an older man and trying to put down some of the things he's made and the spells he used. He would find it very hard but he also knows how much harder things are for him due to all the lost information during the 200 years of trouble. So he would force himself to try and record how and why he did some things as he did and ask Kait and Nick especially for help by asking them if something makes sense to them.
Oddly I can't imagine Will ever writing a book, writing is always going to be kind of strange for him and not easy. I think though if he ever did it would be about Robin.
Demeter, I could quite easily see as being rather Nanny Oggish and writing a book of advice on romance that's actually rather more about sex.

I have no idea what Frederic would actually write, just that it'd be highly patriotic.
Kain would probably write the most self-critical autobiography ever. He doesn't like himself much, especially post-canon, and I think he'd see laying out all the mistakes he's ever made as a contribution to his (self-imposed) penance.

Teja would write the history of his people as he had seen and heard it, to counter Procopius' smear campaign.
Donovan would write a romance novel of the fluffiest kind. He probably does write them secretly already.
Sirona will probably write a flaming diatribe against the disenfranchisment through the growing nanny state.
Urquhart would write something scholastic and quite hard to read about some arcane subject you'd never in your whole life associate him with. I don't know if you've ever read any work of high medieval philosophy in the original; it reads almost like a programming language, it's that structured. I have been sort of theoretically pondering the idea of a Latin based programming language for years and years, actually. Whoever it was would look at the text, aghast, and go at Urquhart, "WTF you really wrote this??" and he'd says, "Yes, that IS how one writes books, after all. It's not meant to be poetry." He writes poetry, too, if he feels like it.-

Or, he'd compile a book of his favorite fish recipes.Sunshine probably does have a book of her personal recipes she's created and compiled, somewhere, heavily annotated. But no one's ever seen it. ^_^

Ellen is already listed in her world as Field Researcher and Contributing Author on Moira Brown's Wasteland Survival Guide. She would have Leonard of Quirm's lack of knack for titles, though, so if she wrote it herself it would be called something like How To Not Die or How To Not Die And Make Things Better.

Tim would write a Star Wars novel that would do well from his name being known in the comic industry.
Rusty's book would also be a tell-all, about his life as a boy adventurer and how horrible his father was.
Jools is too easily distracted to write anything of length.
Chandler would write something about his mother and her career as a tawdry romance novelist.

ETA: He also could write "How to be an Effective Hero" now that I think of it.
As for threads...I actually have a couple ideas for Val but I'm going to write them up in her journal once I work out what is in my head. I will be potentially needing some NPCs for Reed, Susan and Johnny if anyone's interested.

She-Hulk would read that book and give a copy to Iron Fist posthaste. Just for fun.

Or how every vampire idea is stupid. But then she'd get in trouble :P

Finn would probably try to write some sort of children's book about horses. It would be like "horses are tall" and then "they run really fast" with lots of pictures. He would not be actively trying to write a children's book, but given his level of complexity of thinking/creativity, that would be the best bet :O.
John would write a survivalist guide, with everything from living under the radar to collecting hardcore weaponry to building hiding places to how to extend the storage life of MREs, to how to make the best use of cover and many other things.
Helen would write something extraordinarily academic and (according to Jamie) boring.
Ben has written a few huge papers on historical things that are (according to Riley) boring. :P
Legolas would write a book of poetry *_*
Filif would write a book about the Yankees.
Rue would not write a book, unless it was a personal memoir when she's older.
Cora would write a mathematics textbook.
Mitt says y'all are flaming stupid, and why the hell would he waste his time writing a flaming book???? (PS. "~~Ask Amil the Great~~" is a very popular newspaper column in the future *solemn*)

Spy's writing either a cookbook or, when he's old and retired, memoirs. He fully expects both to sell millions.
Lord Roxton would either write about dinosaur hunting/survival or how to be a gentleman.
Kédra would like to write the history of his people, so that humans can learn it and remember who the Kantri are.
And Ratchet says he would write up his research into the genetic map of rabbits.
(Also, hi everybody!)

But we both know that if Mia actually got to talking, she'd make friends with him. She makes friends with everyone.
And Spy can still have my batons marechaux recipe.

But secretly it would probably be a book about something really random and totally out of left field. Like a book of poetry or a Vampires For Dummies book.

There is also a chance that Knox will write about the dawn of the superhero era.
Gibbs is actually credited by Disney Books with writing the recent book about The Code. Coincidentally, he was credited by the pups from the Hornblower books with writing about Jack, long before I apped him. So he's destined write his memoirs. And in Mixed Muses threads set 10 years after the films, he is doing just that.
Charlie has toyed with a book of some sort from time to time, about being a costumed hero, or about his view of the world. He doesn't have the patience to write anything that long, though.
Cyborg would love to write a comic book series. Or maybe a kid's book, with the proceeds going to charity.
Kirk has composed hundreds, perhaps thousands, of Captain's Log entries. But he has no plan to ever do anything further, and has turned down offers to write his memoirs, or his view of relations with the Klingons, and other things along these lines.
