My desktop computer overheated and died saturday. Ahoy for laptop.

Just dropped the PC at the repair shop, with any luck I just need a new power supply.

Paid the equivalent to 375 dollars for new tires for my car, and more for some extra maintenance.

Have to go work in 1 hr.

Had BBQ party this sunday with family, and had a long, much needed talk with my brother. On that front, things are just awesome.

Writing a big letter to a friend who is in jail for something he did not do. Writing e-mails for friends I have not seen in a while to organize a get-together.

I slept nine hours and feel like I could go back to do another nine. Unfortunately, I'm working from home. And I'd be working from home even if there wasn't snow, because my car's not done yet.

Which. I should probably go figure out bus schedules so I can get down to the shop later this afternoon.

I just finished I think my last paper of the three I've had due since last Friday. Its not snowing here just cold and I actually will have time to grab a decent lunch before class.

We will be heading home (from Brooklyn to the DC area, suburbs, minor street) in a few minutes, in the expectation (not the certainty) that our street will have been plowed and the lawn guys will have been able to get through to our driveway with their shovels. Otherwise we may have to tunnel to the house.

On a completely unrelated note, I've decided that if I ever have a plot here or elsewhere that requires Vergil to be turned human, he's going to look like one of these two men (http://www.flickr.com/photos/selfishcauses/3316623438/). Vergil got his human name from a human-built AI whose data he absorbed, and the AI was responsible for running most of the functions of the city of New Mombasa, Kenya. Those gentlemen are the deputy mayor of the city of Mombasa and his town clerk, so it makes as much sense as anything else.
