Apologies and Kitchen Jobs

I think I've apologised to everyone I bailed out on so abruptly but when one's child starts projectile vomiting one feels one should attend to it. If I missed you out - sorry, it was just Eeeeeewwwwww!

So far I have had expressions of interest in the kitchen jobs as follows:

Sous-chef - nobody

Pastry cook - Loki

Washer-upper - Sir Apropos and Baldrick.

I am on UK time so the kitchen is ideal for Gil and me - when the main Milliways action is happening it's usually 3 am so I'm in bed but Gil can be assumed to be working out of sight in the kitchen. I'd be delighted to play with anyone who wants a job but I may not be online when you are.

Sous-chef is 'posh' for assistant cook that's all. In Gil's letter to Bernard the other day he asked for an assistant cook but decided he might get fewer burger flippers if he advertised for a sous-chef.

Fool-mun is at Oxford, so she's not going to be playing at all extensively.

Kronk's my little bit on the side. *grins* I have Mercutio as well, but I'm hesitating on bringing him in because of having to do pseudo-Elizabethan speech. *sigh*

I'm sorry that Fool-mun won't be about much, the Fool/Bartleby dynamic was good but I expect you'll reinstate it when she has more time.

Sorry, but 3 am's my limit even at weekends - the kids still get me up at an ungodly hour.

Is your daughter feeling better? S'no good to hear she's been vomiting. Augh, that must have been somewhat troublesome. Has she got a tummy-bug or something?

Tummy-bug with a very wide area of devastation - I've been scrubbing carpets!

She's wrapped up in a duvet, eating cream crackers and watching a DVD so I don't think she's doing too badly - PLUS - I was able to take the day off work when there's a school party in with a clear conscience!

Oh sure, it's only polite and I was curious. Good to hear she's feeling better and bad to hear you've had to be scrubbing carpets. I'm sure the whole experience must have been quite retched.
