Just to let you guys know (because I forgot to post it earlier), I'm on vacation from now through Sunday. I'll have internet access, but I definitely won't have the time to RP. So Will won't be around for a few days -- till Sunday night or Monday. (IC, he's giving Bran space, I rationalize.)

Will, most likely, is also trying to contact Merriman to find how what to do about a certain force of the Dark that has shown up on Will's proverbial doorstep and is now deceiving and tempting its way through Milliways--and Will's circle of friends.

(If Will isn't experiencing a "Why ME, world?" moment or two because of the Black Rider, then I want to know what his secret is for remaining so calm. I could use whatever he's using.)

And, yeah, that's pretty much his secret. "Why me, o universe?" is answered half a second later with "Because you are an Old One and that is your destiny, and the pain is part of that responsibility," and the answer's accepted half a second after that.

I have decided that Bran's not coming back to the bar until I get my monster summary from the other night finished, so it can definitely wait :) but that would be much fun.

Oh, lord. If you hold out until summaries are done to play, you'll never play again. *still kinda-sorta has several monster summaries overdue from huge plot points over a month ago -- what?*

Liz'll be around without interruption tomorrow night yet, and for a bit on Friday night. She and I will be gone over the weekend because of my work and Geekend festivities, but she'll be drifting around after that. I just have the screwiest work schedule known to man (midnight-8am most days, with my 'weekends' in the middle of the week), so she's been hard to catch lately. But we definitely must figure something. Bran is awesome, and it would rock many socks to play with him. :)

Tomorrow night I might be on for an hour or two, late-ish. I don't have the arm strength for five-hour plotty messes like the other day's. (Twas fun, though!)

Five-hour plotty messes... *shudders* I seem to get into plotty messes that take forever to resolve, so I feel your pain. I've pulled so many all-nighters with plotty messes. Once, Desire-mun and I got embroiled in a fabulously messy plotty mess that took two weeks to formally set up, and an entire weekend of insane writing to clear. And right after Liz got done with that, I wound up getting into the Dream Quest plotty nightmare. If I get carpal tunnel someday, I'm blaming it on those plots. Never again -- until the next one comes along. *grins*

That five-hour plotty mess of the other day's, though, was amazing to read. Y'all did a fantastic job. Hopefully it does repeat sometime.

Will can't contact Merriman now. Not from home. Merriman is gone, outside of Time.

I think. It's always a bit iffy when discussing Old Ones and time. But I think having post-SotT Will meet a Merriman whose fight is still going on, inside the world with time, is one of the few times when paradox and such gets iffy even for then. Maybe.
