Just to let people know...
I'd been advertising the presence of my characters in the bar tonight. They won't be in, after all. I and my roommates have been having some extreme difficulty with the management of our apartment building. The property manager has apparently developed a vendetta against all of the younger tenants, and is determined to find ways to evict all of us one way or another, from the way she's acting. We're being threatened with bogus lease violations now, and it's getting to the wire. She's slated an inspection of our apartment for Tuesday. Problem is, I work eight hours on, eight hours off from tomorrow night through Sunday morning, and then was planning to be at Geekend until Tuesday. It doesn't leave much time for readying an apartment to receive the Bitch from Hell. Basically, I have a choice: spend the next 24 hours feverishly doing apartment-type stuff, or have to skip out on Geekend. At this point, I'm opting for the 24 hours of mad cleaning.
So, that's that. If my characters are in slow-timed threads with you, I'll try to respond here and there, but I likely won't be around the computer at all for a few days, with apartment, work, and Geekend. I'm incredibly sorry for the inconvenience. :(
