Un cadeau pour la mondaine de Grantaire: summary of Enjolras' post here.
In which post Enjolras was feeling rather disconsolate and abandoned. Grantaire came over and sings a rude song. He also thinks Enjolras should get drunk, and Enjolras, the poster child for sobriety, astoundingly agrees. Baptiste shows up. Enjolras is not really very pleased. Grantaire kind of pushes Enjolras into apologizing. Enjolras is sulky, which in turn makes Grantaire sad. When asked what he wants, Grantaire quite readily admit that what he wants is Enjolras. Having finally gotten a clue, Enjolras wants to know what he means. They drink. There is touching, and French. And oh my Supreme Being! Finally! Kissing! And so much descriptive prose. Finally, they go to bed. This is detailed later in an extremely prose-y, artsy, out-of-Milliways post here.
Meanwhile, in another continuity, Baptiste tries very nicely to apologize to Enjolras and gets hit with a speech. The two of them debate ethics, and Baptiste finally does actually get his apology in. Enjolras says that although he doesn't forgive easily, he also doesn't turn friendship away.
Meanwhile, Delia is bitchy at Enjolras, and they get in a catty fight about martyrdom. Baptiste and Delia flirt ridiculously, and then flirt some more, which is funny because in another continuty, Grantaire is declaiming florid poetry to Delia (which makes Enjolras jealous). Delia shoots Grantaire down. It's pretty funny. He sings more of his rude song, gets smacked around by Delia for laughing at her, and has to endure her rather perceptive commentary about Enjolras.
C'EST FINI.
