Lucas's home doesn't really have horoscopes but a lot is made about him being chosen for this or that. The circumstances of his birth relate to that but not in when he was born. It's Ionia who tells him most of this, whom I guess he trusts as much as he'd ever trust a magical transvestite that's friends with his grandpa.

Mia views divination as an imprecise branch of magic and doesn't spend much time on it. She aided in the death of the fortuneteller Royce, who compounded the fortunes of doom and mackin' on her man with the crime of working for the Magic Emperor. It took befriending Dominic Deegan in Milliways to remind Mia that divination itself isn't bad.

I have a fairly unique view on the whole thing myself. I look at horoscopes and fortunetelling as a way to look at how my mind works. I remind myself that I'm the one who puts meaning to what I see and read. With that in my head, I have a deck of playing cards that I like to read and there's always something my brain digs up to surprise me. And besides that, it's fun.
