I've had a fairly hectic night, so I've been creating icons for the last *looks at clock* nine hours. I find it oddly relaxing, because it's very repetitive. Tweak colours slightly, crop, shrink, save, repeat x n¹⁰⁰.

None of the icons have been for any of my pups, although the actor in some of the cases is the PB for one of my pups. That sort of counts, right?

Okay, not really, considering the show I've been iconing all night.

He has a very fluid look, i.e. if I didn't know those were all the same person I wouldn't have guessed.

I don't know I grew up in Reno so I know desert snow all too well. Vegas isn't near mountains though is it?

Sounds like Reno except I would say Reno sits in a valley between a mountain and foot hills. Still no excuse for the white stuff Vegas!

I was on a huge Gatiss kick recently (partially inspired by…making icons for you) and I watched a bit of the Wind in the Willows version that he's in. I swear he is the only actor not wearing a fake nose in it. And he plays Ratty. Now that's a profile.

Well there's my Milliways fiction of course. I also cook and sew my daughters costumes. Well I didn't do the last cause she wanted to use a Dorothy costume her grandmother had found at a garage sale. Before that though I've made a Polly Pringle of Polly and the Pirates (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polly_and_the_Pirates) and Princess Leia.

Ben cooks.

Jessica loves to make mix tapes/CDs.

Val loves to bend science to her will with gadgets and Kirby-tech.

Santo makes the awesome and I got nothing else.

Most of what I do, at least at the moment, is related to Felix. I've got a fair bit of fanart in my dA gallery, and most of it includes Felix, or at least one of his canonmates. I'm also starting to get back into fic; we'll see how well that goes.

Felix would like to say that he creates stability. Whether or not this is literally true, he certainly does more world-protecting and teaching than any more traditional creative endeavors.

This seems like an excellent time to mention that milliclaus gifts are going up currently! So if you want to see Millifolken making fanworks for other players, that would definitely be the place to look.

As for me, I've done plenty of iconning in the past. Other than my own characters, there's, um, twoeyesonthesky, particularskill, confrontspeak, im_just_the, nevercomplains… and probably some other ones I've forgotten about.

Other than that I've done fan illustration before. Here's some Alex Drake, and a a bunch of Milliways characters if they were more fashionable and then some other random stuff including the picture that became this icon:

Basically I do more Milliways extracurriculars than actual playing these days.

Ooooh, these are all incredibly impressive! I wish I took the time out to draw more these days -- it's been a long time since I've finished a sketch. But I am in awe of you, here! Fantastic! (I want one!) ;D

Thanks! I'm in school full-time for graphic design now, so drawing/icon-making, that kind of thing is basically my job. As for getting a sketch… it's a bit of a tricky process, you really have to catch me at the right time. Or somehow have the magic touch. Not sure what the magic touch is really, you'd have to ask Sho or Flynn, since they seem to be the ones who have it.

I... make a lot of everything, really. Fic, icons, other graphics, costume pieces, hand-drawn sketches, fanmixes... just about anything and everything. Most of what I do these days is write, but I'm about to embark on a massive costume project.

As for my pups? They're all giving me snarky answers. Porthos says he makes THE MUSIC, and I'm a little too scared to ask just what he means.

Well, the reason I have been absent recently is because I have been creating a game. It is a map for Warcraft III that is inspired by Runescape's Soul Wars minigame. Soul Wars had the potential to be ridiculously fun, but the game was ruined by the prizes you get for playing and winning and Jagex's insistence that letting a clan play together on the same team will enhance the game's community spirit. What happened was that the prizes were way too good and encouraged cheating and clans would stack one team with good players. It turned into a spawn campfest.

I took a page from TF2 and figured that people wouldn't really mind being put on a different team than their friends. The might whine for a bit but then they get into a little friendly competition. And that is so much better than allowing people to farm a game for rewards. *($^&()@#^&$@^$achievement idlers*^&*%^$&#^%&*^**((^&*%

However, since it is a Warcraft III map, it will probably never see the light of day. Blizzard has WoW and SC II to worry about and support, and with a new WC III exploit out there in the wild, the few people who do play WC III will be weary of downloading new maps until Blizzard fixes the exploit. But Blizzard probably won't for several months and besides, most people who still play WC III only play Defence of the Ancients and Tower Defence maps.

Canon would mainly say that Amascut does not create, she destroys. But in my headcanon she is telling herself that she creates progress by destroying old and obsolete ideas and memories.

Desktop died last night while I was out so I've been exiled to the netbook and it's tiny, tiny keyboard and small selection of programs while I work on rebuilding things.

Thus, alas and alack, creativity is currently on hold for IT support.

I create all kinds of things, depending on my mood. Lately, it has been various foodstuffs--fancy candies and cupcakes and cakepops are a fav. I will also indulge in various paper arts (art journals, altered books, rubber stamping, collage) and occasionally will make jewelry, or break out the woodworking tools. I have yet to find anything that does NOT INVOLVE YARN that I haven't been able to manage.

As for my pups:

Bobby creates ice (duh).

Mother Nature CAN create almost anything found in nature, but finds that most things need to be left alone to do their thing.

Karl grows stuff (and sekritly makes wine).

KK creates steam-powered things, and anything mechanical that's needed.

Mallory is more of a do-er than a maker. She does have one special cookie recipe that she's family famous for, but other than that, not much.

Rapunzel makes music. Piano, violin, voice...she enjoys it, and it comforts her. She is also good with many types of needlework, knitting, sewing, etc. and she paints. Hey--at a couple of centuries old, she's picked up some hobbies here and there.

I'm back in Michigan after a good flight. Soon I will go grocery shopping and yay for using my DE topic.

I love writing fic for people. I make icons but they're pretty simple and fanmixes which are always simple. Also I love photography and lately have been printing my pictures for gifts and cards.

Sameth is known for making mechanical and Charter things.

Demeter bakes and makes things grow.

Jane writes since that's just who she is.

Will doesn't really create as much as protect but he has a sweet voice and loves to dance.

Moist creates impressive scams and identities for himself and beautiful forgeries.

William, I'm not sure of yet but I don't think so.

Tumnus is working on a history of Narnia and likes baking.

The Pirate King creates chaos in his wake.

It had its elements of that. My laptop was wedged between my knee and the seat in front of me. I spent the whole time trying to find a way that my leg didn't hurt, sadly it wasn't possible.
