MILLIWAYS LIFE: Less than I'd like; I'm terrible at tagging out, and most of his EPs the last few months have been to advance plots in his world.
IDEAS: I'm always up for throwing him into someone else's world, or hosting someone (with or without Felix's knowledge). (Which reminds me, I ought to get back on that thing I started with Jamie...) I'd like him to get propositioned at some point, although unless circumstances are substantially different than I expect it wouldn't lead to sex (and if it does don't expect me to play it out). I'd really like to get canonmates in the bar. It might be interesting to have him fall in love, although I have no preconceptions as far as with whom.

BACKGROUND: Techno-whiz-kid who got herself the coolest job ever by hacking into the place and kidnapping someone (her brother needed busting out of limbo, okay?). Currently still adjusting to the idea of having a family and a home for the first time in ages.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Making friends and being wacky! She's also eyeing a car in the garage with the hopes of fixing it up and maybe taking it home (because where better for her canon car to come from?).
IDEAS: HOKAY SO there's actually a fair bit here. She's going to be Bound for a week or so in two episodes' time (I'm hoping to get her to bartend during that time); she might need more help with that car than she currently thinks she does; and I want her to meet one of the Barmen at some point before we get to the end of S2. That is... easily going to be a while yet, but there's no problem with laying the groundwork early. (I also don't know as of yet what we're doing with "Reset," but that's another story for another time.)

BACKGROUND: Former high school baseball prodigy who got the hell out of Harlan -- that's eastern Kentucky coal country, for those of you not keeping score at home -- at 19 years old. Current deputy U.S. Marshal with daddy issues and enough suppressed anger to fill Mammoth Cave. After almost two decades away from Kentucky, he's been reassigned to Lexington and the eastern district of the state.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: When he's not charming the pants off a certain L.A. detective (um, literally), he's probably moonlighting behind the bar.


IDEAS: Oh my Lord, people, give them to me. I've got a handful of Stuff and Things in the works, but as 2011 is all about MORE DOING -- which includes being way more productive, which includes writing and threading more -- I am all kinds of open to any and all interaction and plot.

BACKGROUND: Engineer with a deep and abiding passion for the paranormal, supernatural, and just plain freaking weird; he got kicked out of teaching at Columbia University along with his colleagues and they went into business for themselves as paranormal investigators and eliminators. Their business has since gotten so big that it was nationalized- their world's getting weirder all the time.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Ray hasn't been that active in Bar lately, mostly because it's extra weird and extra busy back home. But he's married to Romana of Gallifrey and he's got an adopted Jotoki daughter who used to be an active character at Bar, and he's in and out when he gets the chance.
IDEAS: Anybody who wants a nice hefty immersion of weirdness or the supernatural for their character is welcome to accidentally walk into Ray's world, or be grabbed by something ooky that drags them through. Something can be arranged! Especially if tentacles are involved.

BACKGROUND: Ben is an old childhood friend of Reed Richards who got thrown into the super hero life unintentionally. He is SO not happy with this.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: This Ben has only been to Bar pre-transformation and should be coming back soon in his rocky form.
IDEAS: When Ben comes back he is going to be seriously depressed. He's going to do his best to not show it, putting up a brave face but will eventually spiral down into suicidal depression. He will not succeed but during this time he is open for any dangerous adventures. He will jump at any opportunity to end what he views as the wrecked thing his life has become. Unlike the main MU's Ben, he isn't against killing if it's needed. He does get better I swear!

CHARACTER NAME: Artemus Gordon (wildwld_gadgets )
CANON: Wild Wild West
BACKGROUND: Artemus Gordon is from the grand daddy of Weird Westerns. He is a genius with disguises, concealed weapons and mechanical devices and gadgets.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Artemus has been out of Milliways for some time but has recently returned for fun and games. I blame the bar fight.
IDEAS: Completely open!

CHARACTER NAME: Jenks (pixie_runner )
CANON: The Hollows or Rachel Morgan series
BACKGROUND: About forty years ago a genetically engineered virus whipped out nearly 60% of the human population. This allowed those races that had been in hiding to come forth and take a place in regular society.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Jenks has been sporadic in coming to Milliways but he recently quite the Vampiric Charms Agency (no they are not an escort service) and so is open for jobs. He does have 54 mouths to feed after all.
IDEAS: Completely open! I do have this idea for a plot where Jenks finds and rescues a faerie baby (which is completely against pixie instincts) but I'd need someone to adopt the little thing as Jenks can't bring it home.

CANON: The Belgariad and Malloreon books of David Eddings
BACKGROUND: Belar is one of seven Gods who created the world in which the Belgariad/Malloreon canon takes place. Canonically he's the most immature of the seven, but he takes his responsibilities towards his people seriously, and gets really nasty towards anybody (like his older brother Torak) who messes with his people, the brothers he likes, or the Prophecy that guides their universe. He's heavily into beer, hunting, warfare, boats, and bears. Also manners. For some reason he's big on those.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Belar got hired by Security some time ago for their heavy hitter needs, and eventually wound up being made head of Security. When he's not working in Bar he's on Earth, being the Prosperity God of the Dorbed nomads of western Mongolia (his world's moving over to worship of one of his other brothers, so he went roaming the universe and decided he liked Earth).
IDEAS: Mostly I play Belar so as to have somebody who can handle massively powerful beings causing trouble in Bar, rather than for plot reasons, but he's generally up for a good hunt or brawl or brewing contest. Also, he likes blondes. A lot. It's canon.

CHARACTER NAME: BLU Medic
CANON: Team Fortress 2
BACKGROUND: Hired by Builders League United shortly after all his records were destroyed in a suspiciously convenient fire at his medical school, Medic now serves as a source of battlefield healing and new and innovative approaches to pain pretty much anywhere in the world BLU has operating interests.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Medic has taken an interest in Cata, with both of them having visited the other's world once or twice. Also, every so often doors to his world spontaneously appear in the wall and he winds up having to either patch up or blow up people from Milliways in the course of a day's work.
IDEAS: I'm thinking of running another Team Fortress 2 plot sometime soon. I do have to say that I haven't played the game in months and have no intention of keeping up with all the additions, changes, and other alterations to canon that Valve's been throwing in. It's just gonna be basic TF2 without hats or locked dropboxes or the reward weapons, assuming people are interested.

CHARACTER NAME: Mordin Solus
CANON: Mass Effect 2
BACKGROUND: Short-lived, mentally hyperactive alien genius recruited to help humanity defend itself against horrific alien race with inscrutable ends. He's got a track record with his people's intelligence service/special forces- a brilliant one.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Mordin's met people from a number of different worlds in Bar and finds all the interaction between races, places, times and universes fascinating. He's contributed to the war effort in the Half-Life universe by giving the human Resistance a genotoxic vermifuge capable of killing the giant combat terraforming Synths the Combine are trying to deploy against humanity.
IDEAS: Mordin would love to start a biotech exchange program with somebody from a suitably advanced universe, or engage in any kind of interaction over advanced weaponry. Also he's into learning about philosophy and new religions and has performed musical theater, so if you need a good tenor for a fast role…

BACKGROUND: Jack's spent most of his adult life in some version of military/law enforcement/espionage work. He's been part of Delta Force, an (at the time) highly-secret counter-terrorism arm of US Army Special Forces, teh LAPD SWAT team, and, in the run of canon, Director/Director of Field Ops for LA's Counter-Terrorist Unit (CTU) as well as Special Assistant to the Secretary of Defense. Before coming into the bar, Jack had only just returnred to the United States after being in a Chinese prison for 20 months. Not surprisingly, with that and the other bad stuff that has happed to him, the boy is kind of screwed up. :D

MILLIWAYS LIFE: In Milliways Jack has met a number of people and his expreience in the bar has eased some of his issues, a little. He's very good friends with Carl Benton (who he served with in Delta) as well as Kate Beckett (whose friendship has made him trust those in the bar a little more than he might otherwise). He has a number of other friends that he trusts to some extent, though he can still be pretty closed-mouthed. As of the moment, he hasn't been in any big plots. Yet. :D

IDEAS: Oh lordy, I welcome any chance for Jack to get involved in espionage-y opr action-y plots because the bar doesn't give him much opportunity for it, and it's oh so fun to write. :D The one thing is making it beleiveable that he would get involved, but we can work on that. I'd love to introduce him ot more people, and if you can think of anything else I'd love to hear it.

BACKGROUND: Professional assassin who got whitewashed by Mizzamir in the name of filling up her world with goodness. Mizzamir has since kicked the bucket, so Cata's taken her life back, thankyouverymuch. She's also teaching, since the Guild needed a poisons teacher; so far she's not a fan of it but there's no one else to do it.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Medic's found his way into her very VERY small circle of people she trusts implicitly. Otherwise, she mostly uses it as a place to get her teaching-realted things done so she has time for other stuff when she's at home. And there was that time she came in with a shoulder injury.
IDEAS: One of these TF2 plots she's going to have an encounter with Medic's ex-wife because the mental image amuses me. Otherwise... she's inclined to look at taking a contract on someone in Milliways as business in the bar, but I'm up for pretty much anything. (Also, one of these days I might post her in very-pre-canon; I can't do her whitewashed, I tried that in MM and it is FRICKIN' PAINFUL, but I might be able to do pre-whitewashing.)

CHARACTER NAME: Sam (doesnotmiss)
CANON: Villains By Necessity
BACKGROUND: That whole thing where Mizzamir kicked the bucket? That was Sam's doing, after he narrowly escaped being whitewashed himself and traipsed all over the Six Lands.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Not as much as Cata. But he has shown off his mad projectile-throwing skillz a time or three. (And there was that time he had IMDb flu and he and Alyx Vance did an impromptu "Tango: Maureen" in the bar. XD)
IDEAS: Sam would probably also be leery of taking a contract on someone in the bar, but again, I'm up for just about anything. (Including tossing him in a TF2 plot, one of these days.) Also, people are more than welcome to note a fleeting resemblance between him and other NPH-faced characters.

CHARACTER NAME: Conflict Diamond (aintno_disco)
CANON: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog
BACKGROUND: Staunchly neutral jewel thief who hangs around at/bartends for the Henchmen's Union because they're better company than the heroes. Or, in her current quasi-reboot: Freshly-minted American citizen and immigrant from Liberia who just found out she's apparently invulnerable (WTF IS THIS SHIT).
MILLIWAYS LIFE: The quasi-reboot came about because Conversations With Dead People '09 freaked her the hell out. Her teenage self is Bound, though I haven't done nearly enough with that. When I'm back to Hex, I hope to do more.
IDEAS: She needs to meet more superpowered types! And possibly some of the other teenagers around the place.

CHARACTER NAME: Moist (kemo_soggy)
CANON: Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog
BACKGROUND: Had no friends due to very dry skin, until his dad brought home a dubious Soviet nuclear-powered humidifier; then he had no friends because he was sweating all the time. Dr. Horrible's henchman and (arguably) best friend.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Hasn't been nearly as noisy since Cubefall '09, when he elected to stay dry (after debating it a lot more in three days than he or I ever thought possible).
IDEAS: I need things to get him in more, frankly. I heart the boy and I miss him. (There was talk once upon a time of him and Doc doing some kind of mad-sciencey thing; THIS SHOULD HAPPEN.)

CHARACTER NAME: Vergil/Weighted Forward
CANON: Halo 3 ODST
BACKGROUND: Vergil was, like the rest of his people, a slave in the service of the Prophets- the alien race that ruled the theocratic empire known as the Covenant. When the war between Earth and the Covenant finally resulted in New Mombasa being invaded, Vergil and several other Huragok tried to escape. Vergil was the only one to survive the attempt, and brought humanity information vital to the war effort in the process.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Mostly Vergil comes to Milliways to get a break from a life of 'protective custody' on board a human heavy cruiser on a long deep space run. Vergil got plinked by a golden bullet as part of the Valentine's Day plot and is currently very interested in ensuring the welfare of D0G, Alyx Vance's robot.
IDEAS: Vergil builds and repairs things as easily as humans breathe, and will often maintain or upgrade technology he finds lying around just because he can. He can easily mess with somebody's toys if wanted. Also, he's been working on and has probably completed a good-sized robotic exoskeleton for use in areas where being full of highly flammable gases may be a problem, so if someone wants to run across a four-armed, six-opticked robot with a penchant for tinkering, that's good too.

CHARACTER NAME: Arcade Gannon
CANON: Fallout New Vegas
BACKGROUND: Middle-aged scientific researcher with the Followers of the Apocalypse, trying to uncover the secrets of recreating the prewar world's medical technology. Also has some unpleasant secrets buried in his past.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Arcade's run into Hannibal King, from the Blade movies, and agreed to go over data on the vampirism virus for him as a nice change of pace from the massive frustration of his work at home. Other than that he mostly uses Milliways to … well, get away from the frustration at home.
IDEAS: Arcade's interests tend towards solitary pursuits, but he has an interest in old world games of strategy and careful consideration. Playing them against himself doesn't really work all that well. He'd be more than happy to take on other players just to see what else is out there.

CHARACTER NAME: Adrian Shephard
CANON: Half-Life: Opposing Force
BACKGROUND: Born and raised in West Virginia holler country, Adrian joined the Marines to make a name for himself and see the world. Too bad his first combat situation unfolded when scientists tore reality a new one at Black Mesa.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Adrian's met a lot of people and beings from a lot of places at Milliways. One of the most important has been the Green Fairy, largely because of the fishing expedition he undertook with her that ended with him hooking a relative of the Salmon of Wisdom (he got the portion of the fish's lore related to warfare, strategy, tactics, etc.)
IDEAS: Adrian's busy as hell in his own world thanks to the fish's gift and his duties there, but he's great for teaching people at the Bar any number of combat and survival skills, including low-tech stuff like flint knapping, animal trapping, which mushrooms you shouldn't eat, etc. And he's always glad to meet other military folk, as they're in short supply back home.

BACKGROUND: She's successfully completed her canon, which is the entirety of the film. Given that a sequel is tentative at the moment, she doesn't have much to do in the interim, but she's recently relocated to D.C. permanently to stick close to CONTROL headquarters, and she's still occasionally going on assignment (or what I like to call tributes to other secret agent movies).
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Comes in and out of the Bar, which she attributes to a busy schedule but what I attribute to a headvoice that stronger at certain times than others. Relationship status: It's Complicated with Captain James Kirk (works_in_space), who only recently discovered she was actually a secret agent. They're slowly rebuilding their relationship, though, and she may even get a chance to visit his world soon. :D?

CHARACTER NAME: Annie Cartwright (vbrightfuture)
CANON: Life On Mars (U.K. TV series)
BACKGROUND: She's one of the few female PCs in a male-dominated environment - and in the seventies, no less, which means sexism abounds. Struggling to prove herself and to figure out her feelings for one DI Sam Tyler (di_or_dci).
MILLIWAYS LIFE: She's only been in the Bar a couple of times, but she's run into nearly everyone she works with back home (with the exception of Chris, I believe). Things will be interesting as she progresses through her canon with the rest of the LoM crew, and even more interesting once they get past canon and into the events that occur between LoM and AtA.

CHARACTER NAME: Charlotte "Chuck" Charles (lonelytouristcc)
CANON: Pushing Daisies (TV series)
BACKGROUND: Technically, she's dead. But she's very much a part of Ned and Emerson's investigative team, having adventures and solving murders and trying to cope with the fact that she and her boyfriend (technically) can't touch.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: In a relationship with Ned (piesordeath), who she has been able to touch on special occasions thanks to the intervention of Bar. Ultimately, there are Plans concerning the issue of non-touching and Ned and Chuck's future, but inevitably, the news that he was indirectly responsible for the death of her father is going to surface, which ow.

CHARACTER NAME: Dani Reese (notenlightened)
CANON: Life (TV series)
BACKGROUND: A hard-nosed LAPD detective with a history of substance abuse, a chip on her shoulder and a whole lot of daddy issues. She's just about to go through her brief transfer to the FBI and subsequent kidnapping by one Roman Nevikov, unfortunately. This is what I do when my pups have nothing to do: put them through some serious breaky angst.

BACKGROUND: Fittingly, we don't know much about Eames - and he prefers it that way. He's a forger in the real world and the dream world, and he knows how to blend in and play tricks on the mind through impersonation and the forging of personalities. Currently, he's not up to much - the events of the film haven't really occurred yet for him, so he's mostly focusing on occasional extraction jobs and spending his good fortune on travels, good drink and beautiful people.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: He has acquaintances, friends and business partners he's run into in the bar, but as of right now, his Milliways circle is still fairly limited.

BACKGROUND: The office manager of Sterling Cooper (soon to become Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce), Joan's life has taken a staggeringly different turn than the one canon shaped for her, thanks to Milliways. She's spending her time between two very different worlds, but she couldn't be happier at the moment.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: In a relationship with a certain Twin Peaks sheriff, where she spends half her time when she isn't working in Manhattan. Inevitably, she might go there to live with him permanently, but shhh, we haven't crossed that bridge as of right now. In Milliways, she's mostly having to deal with being confused for Saffron (which is what happens when you share a common face in Christina Hendricks).

CHARACTER NAME: Kate Beckett (fanofthegenre)
CANON: Castle (TV series)
BACKGROUND: Homicide detective at the 12th Precinct in New York City. Reluctant muse for one Richard Castle (bestsellingego). Coming to grips with the fact that her mother's murder was a bigger conspiracy than even she could have predicted.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: She lived in Milliways for a period of time after her apartment blew up, and so therefore she's built a lot of strong attachments there - not the least of which is one Jack Bauer (trigger_man), as well as Kate Warner (justdidntseeit). Basically, Beckett is a complicated woman and therefore her relationships are complicated, ya dig? :D

CHARACTER NAME: Lisa Cuddy (gotaheadstart)
CANON: House, M.D. (TV series)
BACKGROUND: Dean of Medicine at Princeton-Plainsboro who spends most of her days dealing with the headache that is Gregory House. Currently single mother of an adoptive daughter named Rachel. Basically, she's a workoholic who tries to be with her daughter in between the working hours as much as she physically can - and when she isn't, thank God for nannies.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: She volunteers in the clinic on occasion and makes pleasantries with those she's either met before or hasn't (and tries to avoid House like the plague).

CHARACTER NAME: Saffron/Yolanda/Bridget/Miranda/all of the above (weplayparts)
CANON: Firefly (TV series)
BACKGROUND: A flame-haired con artist with a talent for twisting the truth and manipulating men. Really, it's what she does best. We could tell you a story about her here, but there's only about a 5% chance that it's actually true.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Currently spending the majority of her time in Bar due to the fact that she's made her significant amount of enemies out in the 'verse. However, she's made good use of her lack of freedom in her own world by taking on heists in others' (almosthonorable makes a damn good partner when there isn't any backstabbing involved). Relationships? She scoffs at them, but she's found some very good company in the form of some other unsavories (morethanprops and scots_wolf).

CHARACTER NAME: Sherlock Holmes (isaprofessional)
CANON: Sherlock Holmes (RDJ version)
BACKGROUND: A brilliant and eccentric mind often tasked with solving the crimes that Scotland Yard finds near impossible. Inhabits one 221B Baker Street with his closest friend and confidante, Dr. John Watson (nevercomplains) (and their dog, Gladstone - which, need he remind you, is their dog).
MILLIWAYS LIFE: He hasn't gone through the events of canon yet, so really, his relationship with Milliways is that of trying to explore all of its potential and possibilites, as well as interact with as many fascinating characters as possible. His mind loathes inactivity!

BACKGROUND:Katya is a battle mage from Moscow who has spent the last sixty-ish years (who's counting?) of her life keeping the balance between Light and Dark. Her normal temperament is perky, quick-tempered, and bizarrely, mothering (think kitten on 'roids with a favorite toy :D). She's not human, but she fakes it pretty dang well.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Katya got beat within an inch (millimeter? nanometer?) of her life by an unusually strong Other created to bring balance to the powers in Moscow (because someone got their hands on two Grand Sorceresses at once, and this Other didn't really care who he killed to bring the Light's power base down to match the Dark's. Thanks, Gesar.) Thanks to quite a lot of care and some threats by Olga, she's physically fine, but not such a happy chica. She hasn't quite figured out how to deal with her new reality yet. So she's been trying different things - sampling the Bar's more exotic selection of alcohol (interesting, but not that absorbing), chasing Russian Starfleet Cadets around in the snow...
IDEAS: The big problem with Katya is she will not, unless pinned down and confronted with someone who knows already (or unless she's in ditz-land and forgets she ought not, she's young) she won't mention she's Other. But she can get defensive (especially of the young/unable to defend themselves/if they have cute dogs). Does someone need a guardian tiger? *snickers* That, or someone to brawl with regularly. :D

MILLIWAYS LIFE: Bill is a trouble magnet, and has gone through a lot of crazy in the bar, though he's been mostly spared for awhile now. Currently he's spending most of his time in Wheelsy, South Carolina with his girlfriend Kate justdidntseeit, working his job, but he makes trips into the bar now and then.
IDEAS: I'm open to any. He's got some plot going on, but things can probably be worked out. Most of his BFF's aren't around anymore, and while he's found a couple others to hang out with, I'd like to see him get some new buddies.

BACKGROUND: Summoned during WWII by Nazis who were trying to bring about the end of the world. Adopted by Professor Bruttenholm, and the US ARMY, Red was raised to fight for good, and currently does so with the BPRD. His team is made up of his girlfriend Liz, and his best friend Abe Sapien. He likes TV and candy bars.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Hellboy hasn't been around much. He's been fighting monsters and annoying Manning, so he's about due for another entrance.
IDEAS: Red needs some action. Um, of the fighting and adventuring kind, he gets the other at home. It could be some sort of mission, or hell just a fight, he hasn't seen the cells yet. And anything else anyone might come up with that a big red guy with a stone fist could get involved in.

BACKGROUND: Puss is an expert swordscat. He's led many lives, including thief and hitman, and now spends time adventuring with his friends.

IDEAS: Demeter can make things grow and that can be read loosely also she's a goddess so her morality is different. She's helped bring fertility back to the Half-Life verse and once turned someone into a tree.

BACKGROUND: Jane Austen is currently in London visiting with Tom Lefroy and canon is about to hit her hard. She's curious and fascinated by other worlds and times but at times gets worried by them.

IDEAS: Jane is my wittiest character and very much of her time though she wishes she wasn't. She's always good for culture clashes.

IDEAS: William's a boy who wants to be more grown up who's living in a hard time. He's got a lot of anger in him as the brawl in showing and doesn't like backing down. I'd love chances for him to be more of a boy or show just how angry he is.

I actually have this weird idea for Jenks where he finds a faerie baby and can't leave it to die (which is what his instincts and culture would tell him to do). Only problem with this idea is that he would need to find a home for the faerie as he can't bring it home to Matalina. Would Demeter be interested in a little helper whom she'd have to house train? Faeries in Jenks canon are like locusts and just eat everything instead of nurturing like pixies. Jenks would help teach and train the babe of course.

BACKGROUND: Theoretical physicist born in Seattle & educated at MIT. Worked on quantum teleportation research. One day his workplace had him run an experiment on a particularly strange rock sample and an alien reality exploded into his world. He fought his way through. Things then got worse.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Milliways was for a time the only thing that kept Gordon from going completely bugnuts after Black Mesa. Now that he's had some time to adapt, he uses Milliways for temporary getaways from the pressures of his reality, as well as a place where he can meet people who can help with his world's problems- and who can remind him that one day, if all goes well, he just might be able to be a scientist again.
IDEAS: Gordon appreciates learning new things that he can put to use to bring the pain to the Combine; he also might be willing to bring people to his world to help out if they want to get in on the fight. He also needs to learn politics and how to reconstruct a badly mangled society, because he's aware he's probably going to have to do that if he survives the Combine war. Also he could really use interaction with people who have children as he's got two kids of his own on the way and little experience with the prospect.

CHARACTER NAME: Ellen Park
CANON: Fallout 3
BACKGROUND: Ellen grew up in a sealed underground fallout shelter called Vault 101, outside where Arlington, Virginia used to be. She was driven out shortly after she turned nineteen and has been dealing with the bizarre and violent surface world since.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: The people she's met in Milliways- Tyler, Alyx, Bryan Mills, Annabelle Newfield, half a dozen other people- went a loooooooooong way in helping Ellen adjust to life on the outside after nineteen years of prison. (Seriously. Tell me Vault 101 isn't a prison setting and I will laugh in your face.) Other people, like Master Chief, Voodoo, and others, have helped her learn the combat specific skills she's needed to survive. She's deeply grateful for all of it.
IDEAS: If you want to screw with your character's head I am always open to having them inadvertently wander into the Capital Wasteland, either by Ellen closing a door wrong or by some kind of accident with the Labyrinth in the mountains or something else of that nature. There's plenty of room for characters who need somewhere to get their urges for combat scratched, too, although the superheroes should note that there really isn't a non-lethal option for combat in Ellen's world. Fair warning. Ellen also has a couple of cattle on the Milliways grounds (ten head of five cattle- Brahmin have two heads each), one of which will be calving soon, so if you just want a little headache the cows are available as needed. So are shiny and grungy weapons of THE FUTURE!.

BACKGROUND:Laranth is a twi'lek who was training to become a Jedi Knight, but her philosophical leanings pushed her towards a splinter group of the Jedi, the Paladins, who believe the Knights rely entirely too heavily on the Force to control their environment, when it should only be used to guide. Because of that, Paladins train to become proficient in... any weapon they can get their hands on, really, rather than relying on a 'saber which generally needs a lot of Force use to handle well.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: She generally comes in for a break from her life, which is not the easiest to get through sanely. She still doesn't 'get' humans, on the whole.
IDEAS: She would, I think, benefit from a human challenge. And she'd be an awesome weapons instructor. :D

CHARACTER NAME:Ace nitro_is_ace
CANON: Doctor Who
BACKGROUND: Ace is a British, time-traveling, somewhat inhuman, pyromaniac who, as far as she knows, cannot be killed permanently (except with one tiiiiiny escape clause she's not telling anyone who doesn't already know). Um. Yes.
MILLIWAYS LIFE:....tl/dr. Um. She's been here since 2004. What hasn't she done? Right now she's trying to figure out how to balance being a wife and a mom (omgwtfbbq) with her somewhat pathological need to be footloose and fancy free. And her other pathological need to blow up Daleks. Yes.
IDEAS: She'll talk to anyone. She might decide they're a git and convince them the bar is being run by communists (see: Frank Burns) or try to eat their faces (see: Blodwen), but generally she's a friendly gal.

BACKGROUND: A young Time Lady on her second regeneration who travelled for some years with a certain disreputable Time Lord, looking for the Key to Time, amongst other things. She kind of took his dog. >.>
MILLIWAYS LIFE: She fell for a dashingly handsome Ghostbuster, and she has this disturbing need to KEEP WORKING ON HER THESIS.
IDEAS: For the love of all things fluffy, please help me get her away from the dang thesis. I even had her turn it in, and she's still poking at it! Brat. She's hyperintelligent, though sometimes human idioms,... um. Escape her. She was very concerns for a while about the tragic case of the human male who had a car for a mother. And the case of the flying woman who had entered holy orders. It's so sad!

BACKGROUND: He's been around forever - he was young when the first Kinslayings occurred, he helped build a hidden city, he died defending said hidden city, he came back to life to go defend the somewhat faltering line of his now-dead king, and now he's chasing the last elvish descendants of said king over hill and dale as they continue to slay any orc/goblin/warg/whatever that they can get their hands on, in between visits to their sister, who is now Queen of Gondor. La.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: When he comes here, he's looking to enjoy the couch (omg so fluffy) and the Dorwinion. He also has a couple people he has an interest in keeping well, so he'll bug them too.
IDEAS: He's always up for sparring (if he thinks you'll last longer than five minutes, he's not mean) or sharing Dorwinion or teasing. Definitely teasing. Though certain people he Will Not Get On With - anything 'traditionally' dark (werewolves, vampires, etc) will be on the immediate shit list, and since he knows the rules, he goes with ignoring. Usually. Catch him in a bad mood and he might go with smiting. Which I am totally good with. I'm more than fine with jailing the boy for a while, if it is the result of fun plot. :D

BACKGROUND: She's currently a WPC working for (if not entirely with, yet) CID at Fenchurch East. She REALLY REALY wants to make Detective. Really. Though things aren't looking good for our little plonk.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: This place? Is completely mad. The Guv didn't even know who she was. Which was weird.
IDEAS: Someone please convince her that DI Drake isn't the only woman to rock the police force?

CHARACTER NAME: Leonard McCoy notabricklayer

BACKGROUND: He's a CMO for the 'Enterprise', the most ridiculously lucky starship in the fleet, manned by a crew that shouldn't work but does, that gets into the most bizarre fixes ever. And he's the one that has to patch them up after. Or during, sometimes.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: He's fallen hard for a certain Other, and he's been keeping himself busy bullying patients. The usual. :D And evidently being attacked by furniture.
IDEAS: He... doesn't always think things through logically before plowing forward. He's very emotionally driven. So yes, he will go to your world (if he thinks you're on the side of good) and help with X medical disaster... and then bitch about the danger during/after the fact. Sorry, Olga.

CHARACTER NAME: Urquhart of Monadhliath (scots_wolf)
CANON: "Death and the Devil"
BACKGROUND: Urquhart is a former crusader knight and Scottish nobleman, educated in Paris and very appreciative of the finer things in life. He left everything behind after he couldn't stop his side massacring the children of the conquered city of Damietta in Egypt, fell in with the locals, and became a professional assassin, eventually returning to Europe. He died in Cologne in 1260 at the attempt to kill the archbishop of that city. He suffers from bad PTSD, triggered by screaming children, overly bright sunshine, or the sight of spilled guts; and he's dead.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Since coming to Milliways, Urquhart has gone through a lot of plot without changing substantially; he tried to kill Teja on commission from Ramon Salazar, spent two months in the cells for it, got killed twice over, and was in two really bad fights (Ramon Salazar, and Gene Hunt). Due to his PTSD, he's a bit emotionally impaired, but he does like sex and flirting. He is in an odd kind of OT3 not-quite-relationship with Saffron from Firefly, and Moist von Lipwig (Discworld) which suits all three of them quite fine.
IDEAS: I feel he should do more jobs. Real lethal ones, out of Milliways. Anybody has opponents in their canons that need killing dead?

CHARACTER NAME: Teja, son of Tagila (ostro_goth)
CANON: "A Struggle For Rome"
BACKGROUND: Teja was the last king of the Ostrogoths in Italy and died in battle, on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius, in the year 552 AD. What little remained of his people was allowed to leave.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Teja runs the forge in Milliways, is a member of Security, has three cats and a horse. He's forged some very close friendships (especially with Carlotta, Demeter, and Yrael) and has had three different (male) lovers since he came to Milliways, but lost them all to the vagaries of the Door (or rather, the RL of their muns).
IDEAS: Recently, I had Sirona (another of my charries) give Teja access to the world of his people so he can go see them in their new home in the north, on the island of Gotland. Anybody want to do anything with early Vikings?

CHARACTER NAME: Lady Margolotta (margolotta)

BACKGROUND: Lady Margolotta is an old and very powerful vampire leader and the founder of the Überwald League of Temperance AKA Blue Ribboners, that is, vampires that have sworn off blood in order to become members of human society. IDEAS: I need to get her out there to talk to people, maybe make a friend or two. Canonically, she's a tad promiscuous, so if she ends up in bed with your pup, don't expect a relationship to bloom from it--she has issues that way. Sex is fine, romantic feelings, not so much.

BACKGROUND: She's THE Rapunzel, forced out of her kingdom (along with many other fairy tale characters) into the "mundane" world, where she's lived for a couple of centuries.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: In love with Alexander Knox from Gotham, she has recently been unbound and is back in Fabletown, experiencing a large chunk of her canon. She is a friendly and kind person who genuinely enjoys meeting new people.
IDEAS: I just need to dust her off and get her out there, meeting new people! She's not overly adventurous, but loves to have fun and experience new things.

CANON: Tampax commercials, and well...mythology?
BACKGROUND: Her number one priority is nature, but humans amuse her, and she enjoys causing humans discomfort--especially if she decides she doesn't like them, or are displeased with them in some way.

IDEAS:Elrond is very useful as he can act both as a healer, a loremaster, a parent, and a warrior. Or any combination thereof. He needs to meet more people and it'd be good for his state of mind to be helpful somehow.
As opposed to his canon-mate further up-thread he is not automatically ill disposed towards those with darker affiliations. He was raised partly by Feanorions after all and can handle some amounts of moral ambiguity. Some.

BACKGROUND: Secretly [SPOILER]the archangel Gabriel[/SPOILER] in disguise (more details on that here), now playing the role of a typical trickster god who loves making mischief, taking the high and mighty down a peg, and generally being a thorn in as many sides as possible. His ultimate goal with his tricks -- the heavy-duty ones, anyway -- is to teach his target some kind of lesson, hence why his major targets are folks who could stand to be knocked off their self-made pedestals. He accomplishes this with elaborate illusions that, if he puts his mind to it, are practically indistinguishable from the real thing. A few canon examples: a frat boy who sexually assaults pledges gets abducted and probed by aliens; a guy who conducts animal testing gets eaten by alligators in a sewer; Sam Winchester, codependent self-sacrificer that he is, gets stuck in a Groundhog Day-style time loop where Dean dies every day.

MILLIWAYS LIFE: Not too much yet! Presently he's mostly just gotten up to small bits of mischief, in between hanging out with his old flame (pardon the pun, Kali) and playing coy with his family. However, Coyote figured out his ~*sekrit identity*~ a little while back and, thanks to a deal they struck, also knows his real name. But she can't tell anybody about it. HAH. Suck on that, Wile E.

IDEAS: A trickster without a big prank to pull is like a day without sunshine. So! Do you have an arrogant pup who needs to be taught a lesson? Want to shove them into new and exciting paths of character development? Let me know, and I will be glad to give you a hand. >:D We can whip up a tailor-made trick either in the bar itself or as part of an OOM; the only requirement is that the Trickster get a chance to meet your pup and size them up before the fun begins.

IDEAS: He is a ridiculous creature, yet strangely helpful. If you want him to cause trouble -- useful trouble -- for one of yours, something can probably be arranged! Other things -- I am good for whatever! He has been quiet lately, it will be nice to shove him at stuff again.

CANON: Marvel! X-men!
BACKGROUND: She is the genetically engineered clone of Wolverine, raised as a weapon by a non-government organization known as the Facility. She's killed a lot of people.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: X comes to Milliways a lot. Most of her friends are here. One of her jobs is here (yay Security!). She likes to keep on top of things. Plus she still has a room.
IDEAS: I am generally fond of throwing X at situations where mayhem and/or violence are required. It's also fun to throw her into 'normal' everyday situations. She likes making new friends, and I have fun writing her with new people!

CHARACTER NAME: Michael the Archangel
CANON: Elizabeth Bear's Whiskey and Water etc.
BACKGROUND: She's the Archangel Michael, specifically the one who likes people and so hung out among them even when the rest of her brethren went back to Heaven and she was forbidden from interfering. She cheats. In her version of reality, the stories humans tell influence the beings that the stories are about. Plus Lucifer came home. Yeah. Also prior to her current body, she's always been in a male one.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: She shows up randomly, generally wearing pointed T-shirts and offering what passes for advice. She can also exist in multiple places and times at once. I have yet to really use this for much. I should.
IDEAS: I have none, really. But I am probably up for whatever other people are up for!

MILLIWAYS LIFE: Transient, and currently trapped in the limbo of "I have not figured out when he is yet, yay OOMs!!!" IDEAS: Dean needs more friends. And adventures. And friends. Maybe one day he will actually open up to someone. (I doubt it.)

CHARACTER NAME: Galadan, Wolflord of the andain
CANON: The Fionavar Tapestery
BACKGROUND: An immortal half-god, Galadan once got rejected in love and tried to destroy the universe. He came pretty close to succeeding. Taking the long view makes that less difficult than it probably ought to be. He kind of got better. Ish. For a given value of better.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Transient, mainly there -- when he is there -- because the people he likes show up there a lot. Current tutor to Mary Lennox. He spent some time as a teacher in a ladies' boarding school in Edwardian England. Good times.
IDEAS: MAYHEM. HAVOC. Uh. Masterminding vicious plots and/or actually talking to people in ways that might encourage what mere mortals consider 'acquaintanceship' -- if you have need for a ruthless mastermind with very few morals, Galadan may be your man. Wolf. Andain. Thing.

CHARACTER NAME: Wonder Woman
CANON: DC Comics!
BACKGROUND: Wonder Woman! Born on the island of Themyscira -- or rather, made from clay on the island of Themyscira, and blessed by the gods, Diana is a pretty powerful lady. Plus she can fly. And make you tell the truth.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Transient, spends time here during her gap year that the rest of the world calls 52.
IDEAS: She needs friends! And adventures! And friends!

IDEAS: Training people in martial arts is a possibility. Maybe some sort of adventure, but not of the violent sort - Charlie has left that part of himself behind.

CHARACTER NAME: Cyborg
CANON: Teen Titans cartoon (sort of an alternate DCU)
BACKGROUND: Superhero. De facto second in command of the Teen Titans. Big appetite, bigger heart.
MILLIWAYS LIFE: Makes friends easily but never gets to see them enough. Pondering what to do next in his life
IDEAS: Any sort of superhero adventure would be welcome.
