Hijaked Weekend DE

So earlier this week I came across this news story on Bleeding Cool about an Indonesian TV show that is supposed to be a RIpoff off Supergirl...only problem is the costume and powers are of my girl Spider-Woman.

So my question is this, what messed up plagiarized TV show would/will your pup have? Some others that come to mind are the Japanese Spider-man and Indian Hulk. Or if you happen to have a manga/anime pup, who would America or Western culture mess it up?

Alternately, what would your pup make or give [livejournal.com profile] gorgonfondness / [livejournal.com profile] pullsneedles / Aura for her birthday?

Jessica, is that you? They forgot to make it look like she dyes her hair black (I know, I know, the actress playing her has naturally black hair, but still).

Poor Jessica. At least there aren't any ripoffs of my pups - that I know of, of course.

On the hilarity of a note for the first--

The entire reason I watched the very beginning of The Vampire Diaries (right as the show itself started) was because [livejournal.com profile] trelali told me it was Twilight crossed with Dawson's Creek. Which we still giggle about now.

*eyes Robin Hood* It has so many weird adaptations anyway, I'm sure something already exists.

I think the Abhorsen Chronicles could make a pretty anime, its got the right level of angst and shiny magic.

Discworld is weird enough on its own, I mean the BBC versions are nice but it wouldn't take much to stretch the surreal out to the point of WTF.

The Greek gods also have so many interpretations and weird just in and of themselves that it wouldn't take much for special weirdness.

I'm not sure about the others and graduation stress keeps making me want to curl up and ignore the world. Sadly I can't do that due to having work to do.

I think an anime about Amascut would borrow heavily from The Epic of Gilgamesh and Ishtar's story. You know, falling completely, deeply, madly in love, accidentally killing her lovers, destroying half the world trying to fix things, getting revenge on the fools who dare reject her, getting bull thighs tossed at her by the hero's companion.

I am not ready to say it's a mischaracterization quite yet. There is still plenty of canon that has to be written, backstorywise and currentwise

*DIES* considering how many stories people have of hugging each other while wearing nothing but a crotch patch? This is true.

The SFW trailer is scarily accurate. I mean, their Dangle is so dead-on that my jaw dropped when I first saw it.
