Daily Entertainment.

So I had a dream last night about smoking pot which made all my crowns fall out. D: D: D:

And then I woke up to a news story saying Maryland is trying to pass a law to decriminalize certain amounts of marijuana.

Ever feel like your brain is telling you things? What's the last creepy moment like that you've had?

My dreams have been just a bit creepier of late. Not really nightmares, but not fun either. Even the one that very strangely put me at the NBA All-Star Game.

I don't even remember my dreams anymore unless I'm very sick, in which case I will dream very vividly and very mundanely about being at work, which sometimes makes me wonder when I'm at work whether I actually am at work or just dreaming that I am, because how would I know?

I also have very specific moments of deja vu, which is possibly creepier than the work dreams, but mostly lately my brain is just uncooperatively lazy.

Getting into the car humming a random 80's song. Only to the turn the car on, have the radio finish playing one song and start playing that one suddenly.

While this isn't necessarily creepy, it's definitely one of those moments of weird serendipity?

Friday, one of my BFFs from undergrad came down to Lexington, and after I finished work at 5:30, H and I traipsed through UK's campus and downtown; we were talking the whole time, catching up, and one of her exes -- who also happens to be my former logic professor -- came up in conversation. (Neither of us have seen the guy in years.)

Not five minutes later, as we looped back around and hit Limestone, H was lamenting about how much she misses Pazzo's pizza; we glanced over, and her ex is sitting out on Pazzo's patio, having pizza and beer with a buddy.

We stopped and chatted for about a half-hour, and then laughed the whole way back to campus and my car.

My dreams have just been full of missing things, watching a plane fly off that I was meant to be on or missing an appointment.

I hate them but then I'm anxious about school so it fits. I don't want to go to class since I can hear the wind howling outside but I have to.

Since I have to go on campus and fill in an add slip for my internship stuff and I told them I'd be there after 12 and I have class at 1 but I haven't done any of my reading. Blah, I just want to hide in bed.

I recently had a dream that was basically LotR as an Urban Fantasy. We humans were getting our armor and readying our weapons while marching up a street on as Elrond and his elves road by on a gondola in the street and sang to give us courage. I wish I had more dreams like this.

When I was a kid I used to get very confused when events that were happening didn't happen as I "remembered" them. Then I would realize I was remembering a dream.

Back to my "day off" at home. Why does "day off" translate to working at home?

I think because life is annoying. I'm not going to my first class but instead wrangling with the registrar. And I still have a huge amount of database homework to do before 11 pm tonight.

*Grump* It's not fair! All I wanna do is curl up under a blanket and watch movies. I do get to help my daughter write a narrative for school which is turning into a fanfic for Enchanted Forest Chronicles though.

My dreams are always terribly vivid and utterly unreal, and I generally wake up feeling unsettled and uncomfortable. But then I only ever remember them for about five seconds after waking up, so it doesn't bother me for long. XD

The weirder part is how frequently I have deja vu. It happens all the time, but never for words or places or people, just pictures and images. I'll remember standing at that particular corner of this particular city with that particular crowd, even though I've never been there before. Or a particular view of a brick wall out of a particular window.

It freaks me out if only because it's so utterly random and unimportant. Like my brain is trying really hard to tell me that this is SUPER IMPORTANT but all I see is junk.

I had a really vivid dream once that a bug with a weird shape I'd never seen before was perched on my wall, and if I moved to turn the light on it would fly at me. I drew it later for a friend because I was having trouble describing it, lights clustered above and below, instead of spread around like a spider.

Three years later, I was getting ready for bed very late at night, and reached for the light switch only to see a giant fucking crane fly sitting on that same wall. Exact shape of the bug in my dream.

(I killed it with a broom.)

I have had the most pointless prophetic dream in existence. ;_;
