Last night, after some egging-on in crackchat, I wound up doing an impromptu running commentary to the DVD of NuTrek I was watching. Some people seemed to enjoy it, but it wasn't really fair on all the people who weren't so interested, so the idea occurred to me of doing a kind of Crackchat Watches... of a weekend, with a specific chat open for a synchronised watch and commentary on a particular movie.

But, is anyone interested? And if you are, what movies do you fancy watching? Personally, I was going to suggest Iron Man, Batman Begins, The A-Team, Fellowship of the Ring, all that sort of thing, but anything we can all watch simultaneously is fine by me.

I would love to. OMG. I always love watch things in chats with Milliwayers or in person or everything. Yes. Yes. Yes. I want in.

Ahahaha. I'd love a groupchat MST3K of any of the Twilight saga. :D

I love this idea and think it would work great with blockbusters like you're suggesting. I think the last time I did it was with Avatar but I also did with the Gundam Wing movie. Crackchat just makes things funnier.

Ooooh, YES! Rick came up with the idea once of doing MST3k via Skype. I absolutely heart group watches. Count me in!

I once batted around the idea of watching the JLU with a few far flung people at the same time, but that was with personal LJ friends, not Milliways people.

For a particularly hilarious watching experience, I vote for The Expendables. No, really, it's a hilarious and over the top pisstake on the action genre and shows off Sylvester Stallone's bad plastic surgery. The action doesn't stop from beginning to end.

Anyway, I'm game!
