Permissions post: Black Mamba
Hi there. Apologies for the long permissions post but, this character has a complex and wacky set of powers.
Meet Black Mamba, mercenary chick and herpetologist, who I've recently brought into Milliways and thus this is the requisite permissions and plotting post for her since she has some telepathic abilities. You can respond here or on her journal where I go into a bit more depth about her powers and abilities.
Firstly, she will not, I repeat not, ever use her telepathic abilities on someone without explicit mun permission.
Mamba's powers include extensive manipulation of the Darkforce. The Darkforce is a dimension near Earth-616's that is made up of, you guessed it, the Darkforce or dark matter with special properties. The list of people who can tap into it and manipulate it with skill is small. Once tapped into, it requires considerable skill to use; users can cause anything from lethargy to death in other people. Users can also use it to obscure themselves, other people, and a host of other nasty or good things depending on where you sit on the axis of good/evil and what you're using it for. Black Mamba most often uses it to project the image of the person her victim loves or desires the most into her chosen victim's mind while having the Darkforce slowly either suffocate them or be horrified by the vision she's projecting.
Black Mamba's telepathy is technological; she got it via a device implanted in her brain. She will use this mostly to lightly scan her immediate environment unless a threat/potential customer presents himself/herself/itself. In other words, she'll use her telepathy to take a snapshot of the moods of the people around her rather painting than probe someone deeply. Those she will probe deeply she considers a threat and/or a victim, but again, never without mun permission.
Mamba is also a mercenary extraordinaire. If you want espionage done, people disappeared, something liberated, something put back before its owner notices it gone, etc., Mamba's your girl. She's good alone and also a good team player. So I'm searching for plot for her - she spent years with the Serpent Society and functions well in a team environment. But don't shy away from asking her to do solo work.
Other abilities that Mamba has due to the Darkforce: the ability to create and project vivid hallucinations directly into the minds of her chosen foes, mind control, hypnotic suggestion, illusion casting, and mood control. She can stay underwater for a long time due to the gills in her neck. The gills are very hard to detect unless she's closely examined.
She used to be a bad girl but she's reformed into anti-hero status. She'll hurt and embarrass (see Cable & Deadpool #20) but won't kill unless her foe is truly evil or trying to kill her.
I'm up for any and all plotting shenanigans with her, so please let me know if you could use her for anything.

Due to the curse on her name, it is amnesia inducing. Partially because she is one of the few people that can remember her name, partially as a defense mechanism (or maybe she likes nomming on psychics), her name is always on her mind on constant repeat.
I am sure the vampyres on her world love that ability of hers. They can't use their mind tricks on her unless they want their mind wiped.
HEY! That is probably the reason why she hasn't raised an army of vamps to do her bidding. Well, one of them, besides hating the undead.

Other than that, there is the Fox in Naruto that is a different mind all together. And Seras is a vampire... Daniel Jackson used to be ascended, but he doesn't remember any of it, but it is still there. Vala has all the memories of the Goh'uld that had used her as a host. Tass is a Kender, enough said. And Raziel is well Raziel from Legacy of Kain. Oh and I have Toby from the Labyrinth but he's just a regular kid.
