I am in the middle of a grueling, somewhat insulting, process where I am supposed to learn how to use Twitter and Facebook and Google to promote the Museum. The book I am reading about the subject makes me feel like a total moron. (By comparison, FYI, a book I am reading about Feynman and quantum electrodynamics does not.) I really don't know if Twitter and Facebook are good places to do the sort of PR I do, but I have to learn. And it is no fun.

Sooner or later, Cy is gonna have to face that he's starting to fall for Rachel. That will not be fun since he knows she's not falling for him.

Knox is in total denial about the chance Raps won't come back. Just because I know she is is no reason for him to know as well.

Charlie faced his death. He really did want to avoid that for a while. That he came to grips and moved on is a big accomplishment.

Kirk doesn't believe in the no win scenario. So there is nothing he cannot avoid long enough to make it better.

Your museum has a pretty good Twitter account, btw. And I do, in fact, think social networking is an important pplace for museums to build up community links.

Feynman had the gift of being able relate complex subjects to nearly everybody, so... um... You are comparing a godly writer to goobldygook. Probably. I dunno, the social sciences and humanities are confusing to me for the most part so reading up on using social media for so and so effect would have my head spinning too.

Dinah has to deal with the fact that she's been all fast and loose with identity around the bar, and now that J'Onn's gone and betrayed her (or so she thinks), she has to learn to put that cat back in the bag.

It is not the first time the identity thing will prove more hassle than it's worth.

Renee has to fdeal with the heating-up situation betweem herself and her best friend's ex, ad how complicated that situation is getting for both of them.

Mel is, in fact, dealing with the fact that Steph is alive, and recovering, but has no memory of her or the bar.

Deadshot has to deal with the fact that he's going to Hell.
- he knows he's going to Hell, but what he's trying not to deal with is the facct that he's going there voluntarily, to help a friend.

Clementine would love to flee her horrible financial situation, but it's so bad that she's waitressing on the side for tips.

Dixie wishes she hadn't ever seen Doc again. That was a long-closed chapter in her book, and one that nearly killed got Brisco killed.

I have a supervisor who is apparently living vicariously through the young folks on staff, because she didn't get to be wild and crazy when she was that age, so she lets them get away with anything they want. I don't want to have to hear my coworkers flirting inappropriately or making out in the same room with me, while I'm trying to work.

Butch would like to avoid the awkward moment when introducing himself to somebody new, when he isn't sure (if they've heard of him, at least) whether they'd be okay with him being an outlaw or not. Canonically he did have the support of a lot of people, but you never know. He would also like to avoid the Bolivian army

As for myself, I'd say self-evaluation time at work. I hate evaluating myself based on someone else's criteria. Yearly goals are another one, making up goals that are measurable but ambitious annoy me. Why can't I just put "work really well on the day to day stuff"?

I honestly couldn't think of anything for Ben. Breaking up with Debz or disappointing people came to mind but really I think if Ben doesn't want to do something, he doesn't do it. And really, who can force him? Okay Susan, Alicia, Johnny, Franklin, Val or Jen could but aside from that...

Ult. Ben...living. Sad but true. Poor guy doesn't have much hope right now. I need to get on that.

Jessica Drew *hates* the "No, I am not a skrull" dance and having to reestablish trust within the super hero community. Yes shapeshifting and mind control are par for the course and she is innocent in this case but the emotional reality isn't always logical.

Jenks hates discipling his kids. If he could get away with it he'd let them run rampant but he wants them to grow up as good pixies so he must enforce rules.

Barbie hates the red carpet interviews and posturing. She loves the fashion show but not the subtle backstabbing and judgement.

Thalia hates being Bound but what can you do? She also hates it when people don't listen to her. The world would be a much better place if people just did what she told them.

...When I phrase it like that it sounds like a comic book situation, but I swear it isn't. Nobody, with the possible exception of Alex and the Tuaparangi leadership (who may not be relevant to Felix; I haven't decided yet), has nefarious intentions.

But, all the same, he has to keep protecting the world. It's not so much that he doesn't want to, as that he doesn't want opportunity to. He'd much rather the world just stay saved. What he'd do with himself if that were the case, he doesn't much consider.

Gordon's just giving me a look. At this point it would be easier to list things that he doesn't want to avoid, there's fewer of them.

Adrian can't avoid the fact that the Resistance has and needs several helicopters, but has a whopping two pilots, and he is one of them. He's developed a coping routine (pray first, sing under his breath during, puke after) but it doesn't really help.

Mordin not particularly looking forward to suicide mission through Omega-4 relay. Aware that all crewmembers facing same difficulties and fears, but- would prefer not to plunge blindly into unknown. Too many variables.

Arcade's entire life is spent avoiding the people who originally wanted his father dead and would now be just as happy to take him instead. He avoids this as hard as he can by never, ever, ever alluding to the fact that this is even a problem where anybody can hear it- or at least trying not to.

Fawkes... Fawkes knows that, sooner or later, the Brotherhood of Steel and their allies are going to move against Vault 87 and destroy everything inside, and that he's going to have to help them. As much as he loathes the place and is willing to kill the other supermutants for what they did to him, he still finds the prospect of leading the sterilization campaign against the place disquieting.

Ellen is a doctor's daughter, and learned to read from her father's medical texts. She is aware that she absorbed enough radiation at the purifier to have killed her. Even with the Enclave anti-rad chems, the Brotherhood chems, and the United Federation of Planets chems at Milliways, she doesn't know just how much DNA damage got done. She would really like to not have to deal with the question of 'am I going to develop long-term radiation consequences somewhere down the line'. She would really, really, really like to not have to deal with the question of 'did that pulse leave me unable to bear children'. Not that she was planning on it any time soon, but she was raised with 'procreation is your civic duty' drilled into her head so hard that it's kind of a given for her, on the order of 'you need water to not die'. Not being able to personally contribute to the continuation of the human race is immensely disturbing to her and she doesn't want to have to deal with finding that out.

Explaining to every User he meets about Games. It is an enormous bummer. No one likes to be made to suspect that they might be an inadvertent genocide.

Maybe he could get cards printed?

Rachel has a lot more nightmares and flashbacks than she'd ever admit to outloud. Partly because she knows exactly how crazy it sounds/is. Her morning exercise serves a double purpose in burning off energy and helping to push whatever she saw the night before out of her head.

I think she needs to meet Charlie, master of meditation. Assuming he doesn't pry into her past.

Luna doesn't really have any major avoidances. Or if she does, she hasn't informed me yet.

Castiel would like to avoid being the focus of excessive attention from his higher-up superiors. The most recent intensive experience was his questioning after Anna Fell, which was not pleasant. But even excessive positive attention makes him squirm internally a bit.

Parker wishes that she could avoid having to tell good friends that she was raped during her first semester of college. That bit of personal trivia tends to weird people out and/or make them uncomfortable.

The reasons she tells are two-fold. 1. Locking it away as a dark secret makes it something shameful and that owns her rather than the other way around. 2. Good friends deserve to know that bit of her history. So, when the opportunity arises, she'll divulge it.

Let's do everyone! Just for fun. :D

Data would rather not deal with prejudice. Curiosity about what he is, he doesn't mind at all. But people who decide to hate him for no reason are... inconvenient.

Lore would rather not deal with humans, or biological life forms of any sort.

Rosalie would rather not deal with the constant burning in her throat when she's around humans.

Eiji would rather not deal with losing tennis matches. But it happens sometimes. :/

Julia would rather not deal with emotions. So she just got rid of them. Now she doesn't like dealing with the fact that her father seems *concerned.*

Frederick would rather not have to worry about saving his magic energy. It means he can't go flying as often. :(

Julian, in a similar vein, hates the almost migrane-like aching in his head he often gets.

Captain Abrams has a lot of stress to deal with, but overall she finds her job satisfying. What she'd rather not deal with is subordinates who don't seem to take it seriously. ~~Actually if she could only name one thing she absolutely dreads it would be having to leech off of her second-in-command for energy. But she refuses to talk about that. :P~~

Nick hates all the snobby rich people around here who treat him like a nobobdy.

Last night I had an odd dream about being in the world of BSG well more the world of Caprica on the run, sometimes Moist was there, it was odd.

Will is dreading trying to save Little John from the gallows because he knows its going to be a hard fight.

Demeter dreads Winter.

Sam dreads all of his canon.

Moist doesn't dread that much but he's always looking over his shoulder for fear of being caught.

William dreads the day that Mark doesn't get better.

Jane dreads talking to Tom's uncle about getting married. She's hopeful but terrified.

Tumnus doesn't dread anything at the moment and neither does The Pirate King.

Guppy (and soon me if I pass finals): Breaking bad news, dealing with angry/violent patients and relatives.

Carlotta: Pressure to have kids.

Vyvyan: Going to the launderette.

Oh...There's a lot Lucas wishes he could avoid if he just knew about it. All the fights with the Masked Man/Claus would most definitely be avoided. And if he knew pulling the final needle would end the world, he might not do it.

Mia's family has some prejudices to deal with, either pureblood ones for Mia's side or outsider ones for Draco's side. And Cepheus will have to face the matter of being a male Guildmaster, something fanon and now Millicanon heavily implies just isn't done. (We were gonna go a deep dark spookyroute with this but decided implying was enough.) There aren't many who will talk openly about these prejudices considering Mia's position but she knows she has to work with them and not just boot them out of the Guild because of their opinions. She feels if she did that, she would be as bad as Xenobia.
