I promise you, you are still loved! Just because I've gone 'round the bend when it comes to RP does not mean you aren't all in special little places in my head! How's about a nice steak dinner to make up for it? Hmm?
(Except for you, SARAH. I know that's awkward.)
(And you too, Carlisle. Unless the steak can be a little more rare.)
"There can be good things here at the end of the universe for you. I can't pretend to know what it is to be here without anyplace else to go, and I understand that I can't presume to know your difficulty.
"But there are people here who'd care for you. About you."
(The others don't seem to need or want pep talks. Medic is disturbingly chipper today for some reason. BTW, would anyone be interested in another Team Fortress 2 plot sometime soon?)
"You're more than just a baker, Little Miss Sunshine. Now, don't get me wrong, you're one hell of a baker, but more than that, you're a survivor. Quit doubtin' yourself, and believe you me, you'll get through the worst of what's comin'."
Beat.
"And if you could use a gunhand, well, you don't even have to ask. Just so you know."
*smiles, wry* I've never been really great at talks like this. I don't really know how to cheer people up, apart from telling them that they mustn't think they're alone in what they're going through. That most troubles are temporary. And that sitting down to some good food and not having to think for a while can make any impossible situation seem just a little bit more approachable.
Which reminds me, these just came out of the oven. Would you like some?
You and your lady, you do worry and fret so, though if sheer force of will could carry a thing through, your lands would never know war. Must I ever be a thorn in your side, convincing you to rest? Impudent mortals, you shall wear yourselves to the bone.
"This may get worse before it gets better, but it's nothing you won't be able to handle. I know it's going to be okay because I know you, sheriff -- you love your town and the people who live here. You're going to do whatever it takes to clean up Wheelsy.
You're really sweet, Miss Dinah. And you helped me more than just the gardening. You helped remind me that people care when things got hard. So you don't ever have to worry 'cause we all care about you, too. Okay?
And I can't wait to get outside and work in the garden with you again.
