(no subject)

Thought I'd share with you my Milliways Moment of the day.
I like to read during my half hour morning busride to work. It just so happens that I'm currently reading The Botany of Desire, by Michael Pollan. I'm all of 27 pages into it when I happen upon the term: Swedenborgian doctrine.

I'm not sure if anyone else knows this, but according to Pollan the Swedenborgian doctrine "...hold(s) that everthing here on Earth corresponds directly to something in the afterlife...". And here I thought it was something made up.

*shrug*
Who knew?
The things we learn.

Update
I bring to you the Tenets of Swedenborgianism and the Cambridge Swedenborg Chapel.
Behold, the power of Google!

I could definitely see a Milliways-Swedenborg connection.

Wasn't Paul talking about Swedenborgian space a while back?
