Given it's still Friday here (for another forty-odd minutes)...
Stayed home. Made pad thai for lunch/dinner (and it was AWESOME). Watched the start of Avatar before I switched to the Fifth Element (big bada boom!), finished reading In The Company of Heroes by Michael Durant (a.k.a. the Army pilot who was captured during the mess in Somalia during the events of Black Hawk Down) and taking notes from it for Trudy, wrote a bit and...
Discovered my dog's done something to her tail, so she can't really wag it any more, which is really distressing me. Sprained it? Just too tired? I don't THINK she's broken it... *worries* I guess her getting hurt somehow counts for Friday 13th-ness.
We let her sleep it off - it was about 7pm when we realized - and by morning her tail was a lot better. And it's been getting heaps better over the past couple of days, so the thinking is to just leave it. It seems like she just sprained it, and it's getting better, so not worth traumatizing the poor thing by sticking her in the car where she might damage herself further (she HATES the car, she completely freaks out).
Driving to Reno to visit my dad who's convalescing after knee replacement and a minor stroke? He's okay but I'm making the trip anyway...and yes I will be thinking of Clementine when I hit the city limits.
Going to the local farmer's market and probably grabbing enough milk for a batch of thirty minute mozzarella, maybe some other things as well as long as I'm at it. And probably getting my bike out to start training for a century ride in October.
I plan not to have to do any transcription for at least two days, and after that, hopefully not to have to transcribe anyone with a difficult accent. *headdesk*
On the bright side, the interviewee I am currently transcribing is named Norbert Winkeljohann.
the toilet just ran over and i just woke up..... i have to clean the bathroom now. I guess that's a good thing to do. I need to scrub out the tub anyway. Other than that, my family is all coming up here, my mom and stepdad, and my aunt and uncle. the latter two may end up living here for a bit. That should prove interesting what with all the little dogs, and stuff, so I also need to get all of my clothes out of the guest room. which means finding a place for them in here, in my tiny room that has almost no furniture, cause i like it this way. I may need to get a regular dresser. And I need to get an application for a job in. Oh, and and and.....
I'm having a good day so far. I'm about to head out for a walk since I need to buy a book for my summer class.
The wonderful news is that I get to see my brother this weekend, it won't be for long just a night, but he lives in Europe most of the time. So this is a treat and I need to clean my place up so its not quite as messy for him.
Yes, I mean we've seen each other in the past few years just not a lot. Also I'm going to his wedding at the end of August, but this is still a lovely bonus. He's the brother who's closed in age to me.
I'm the youngest of four from a blended family so my oldest sister is about sixteen or seventeen years older too. This brother's only seven years older than I am and then my other brother is about I think fourteen years older. Thanks to my parents doing a good job of blending us, we're all pretty close but I'm closer to my brothers than my sister.
I don't miss cleaning aquariums since I moved my little guys to a pond in the back yard! It's easier to clean that, I think, than it was for the aquariums!
Considering how my Friday the 13ths usually go, it's been a really good day. Busy at work but we took care of things with no complaints, my boss thinks my cakepops are faboo, and today is payday. Granted, most of that money is going to rent, but payday! :D
Cakepops are ALWAYS awesome! My kids like when I make red velvet ones in the shape of heads or animals so it looks like they're bleeding. They're boys.
YUM. I saw some Oreos baked inside a brownie, and was thinking of trying it with mini ones and putting them on a stick...you've got me wanting to bake again!

No real plans this weekend, because I am boring.

Maybe your dog was so excited that she over exerted her tail. Giver her a pat for me. I'm sure she will be okay.

There's laundry, a return to jogging, some bookkeeping, followed up by cleaning my aquariums.
There ain't no party like a Bing Party, 'cause a Bing party don't stop.
