First off, saw the other post. Happy belated millversary!

Second, did you take note of Charlie's Cubefall EP?

Third, I got nothing else either.

Happy Milliversary!

And happy TGIF!

And maybe what author, TV show, movie must folks read/watch that they likely haven't? In other words, canon share time!

I recommend Nick Spencer's Morning Glories and Infinite Vacation. These comics are from Image and are really quite amazing. The former has been described by Spencer as "Lost Meets Runaways," aptly. The latter is too weird for words. We just read the first TPB of Morning Glories and it's worth your time.

Morning Glories is a monthly. Infinite Vacation has two issues of a planned six so far, but comes out irregularly. There is time to catch up with both.

I was reading Morning Glories for the first few issues but fell behind. I'm tempted to wait and read a TPB as I'm pretty far behind in most of my comic reading (except FF and Avengers).

I'm also intrigued by Red Wing by Hickman/Pitarra (http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=31554) and Nonplayer (http://www.nonplayercomic.com/p/nonplayer_22.html) has art gorgeous enough I'm hooked already. Image just has some very nice titles coming out!

The second Morning Glories TPB is due in August.

I haven't been tempted by Hickman. I read the first issue of Pax Romana and found it to be terrible.

We got Nonplayer. It's hard to recc a comic where the artist has no clue when the next issue will be out, but it was worth reading.

I should see if my library has the first TPB.

I haven't read Pax Romana but I have enjoyed his work with the F4 and SHIELD. I may not agree with all he's done to the F4 but I'm curious to see where he's taking them and in any other writers hands those changes would have been a disaster.

Oh no, I hope Nonplayer isn't going to be one of those comics that is really good but disappears after a few sporadic issues.

I guess I should make a recommendation huh? Well Catherynne M. Valente (http://www.catherynnemvalente.com/) is one of my newest favoritest authors. I've read both The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland In A Ship Of Her Own Making and Deathless and enjoyed both tremendously! Think Neal Gaiman with Ray Bradbury's talent for painting a vivid picture with prose.

Also, N. K. Jemisin (http://nkjemisin.com/) is an author I am keeping my eye on. I've read her first book, The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms, and was floored! I'm not sure how she can follow it up into a series (it's to be a trilogy) but I want to find out!

Also I'm discovering Emma Bull for the first time and kicking myself for not reading her sooner. Territory I've finished and am in the middle of War of Oaks. I expect the Phouka may be popping up in mixed_muses...
