query for the mods/Bernard-mun/anyone who'd know the answer

If a character--for example, my character--decides it is necessary to see the Landlord, would that be possible? And if it's not possible, could it still be fun finding out it's not possible?

Plot, or at the very least adventure, hangs in the balance.

Thanks muchly.

Nope. Nobody meets the Landlord. Occasionally, the head barperson may be aware of the Will of the Landlord, but that's only through their connection with the bar itself. How would you propose going about trying to find the Landlord, though?

Letters have been written to the Landlord, and presumably recieved, but none shall ever meet The Landlord. It's kinda like the time someone tried to app as God; the character would be too powerful and know the unknowable of Milliways. the Barman(ie, the one bound to Bar) may occasionally recieve commands, but no direct contact. Some have spoken about seeking contact with The Landlord, and you're free to plot an adventure so long as you-the-mun know full well that it will end in failure.

Then by all means, go for it. Quixotic quests are a good way to occupy your time at Milliways, I suppose.

For the record, Joe would love to be let in on your hiding to nothing.

Joe has been poking around the edges of the bar, too... cf the Emergency Potato thread. I was actually going to suggest the Forest. Besides, it's myffic. Moiraine could probably give us a hundred stories about delving into the woods for secret knowledge... Just don't leave the path, I hear there's elves in there.

We could be a D&D party. Bard, Fighter... we need a cleric and a wizard. Moiraine would probably like information on her Boundage, are there any wizards with burning needs for info from the LL?

I recall Tim mentioning something IC about trying to find out more about The Landlord; that'd take up your wizard position.

And having just read Tim's canon (or rather, the first bit), I happen to know he already knows something about quests like this. Milliways always provides.

By all means let's take out time... we'll need time to suck people in. And my free time is not in vast supplies right in the most immediate future either.

Um, actually, the Forests around Milliways sort of bleed into the Milliways Dreaming, but for plot purposes, I suppose you could say that that's sort of a 'right place, right time' kind of thing. I'd imagine then that you'd simply wind up coming out of the Forests on the opposite side of the lake from which you entered.

Like snow said...Tim loves trying to find things out....

*waves hand, and tosses Svava's hat (helm?) into the ring for a cleric* or something.. yeah, something.

And of course David's going to raise his hand and bounce on the balls of his feet eagerly.

Adventure, even without other vampires, is something he's well enough interested in.

Cordelia's been trying to find out if anyone at all at the bar has ever even seen this mysterious Landlord.

She'd definitely be interested in an attempt to find Him. She's got questions.
