Daily Entertainment.

A day late but in honor of the fourth of July;
What does your pup need to feel free? Is the answer different from the
pups point of view vs. yours?

Kirk and Gibbs have very little in common, but both have that need. Being land/planetside, under someone else's authority, that chafes all the time. Having the sea, or space, and having a ship, that makes it all better. That is freedom.

Cy has a very different take on the idea of freedom, given that his ancestors were slaves. He does not take freedom for granted, but it's something more internal that just a need to have a ship. He likes the freedom of the open road, but it's not really what freedom means to him.

Ben Grimm: Exploring and the ability to change back and forth between human and rocks. (I think he needs to let go of his surviver guilt in regards to Johnny's death.)
Ult. Ben Grimm: Being human again. (I think he needs distance from his friendship with Reed. It's not quite the creepy level of Raistlin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raistlin_Majere) and Caramon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caramon_Majere) but it has hints of the same.)
Val von Doom: Free access to the multiverse and access to her family.
Jessica Drew: I'm not sure, getting rid of the stigma of the skrull queen comes to mind.
Julie Finster: A good super hero name and costume. (She really needs to stop worrying about being someone people want and to start trying to be someone people need.)
Rincewind: No more adventures!
Artemus Gordon: The open road and the chance to serve his country.
Thalia Grace: Her secret answer is a spoiler for The Lost Hero so I won't say it. What she would say is having her door back or hunting with Artemis when she does. (I think she needs the love of her father.)

Mike always feels free.

Raph needs a wide open sky. City, village, ocean. Doesn't matter, so long as he can see the sky.

Ida needs a connection to the web.

Aang's with Raph on the whole sky thing.

The Loompas just need to not see or hear about The Wonka.

Will would feel truly free if he could live without having to fight to keep his home in one piece. Though he has some great moments of freedom just living in Sherwood. Give him trees and time and he'll be calmer, also sparring is another form of freedom, letting his temper go.

Sameth will fill free when he has less a sense of betraying and harming his family by failing them so terribly. When he's doing something physical or making something, he has a great feeling of freedom but it feels more like an illusion with the weight of what he should be doing behind it.

Jane would feel free if she could write when and what she wished and know that her family supported her and that she could marry as she wished. For now she finds freedom in her words.

Moist is quite free, give him an open road, some people to mess with and he's satisfied. In some ways he almost enjoys the times more when the net almost catches him because the release is the best rush.

William would feel free if his family's finances were enough that all it takes is one bad season to get them in debt again. Also to go to be every night not listening for Mark's coughing. For now he grabs fleeting freedom by riding into the wide open skies of Arizona and getting into fights though he does that less.

Demeter feels quite free as she has fewer connections to her family and she and Kore decide what they do. The greatest impediment to true freedom is the arrangement with Hades but during the summer, she does her best to not think on it.

Tumnus feels free as he is helping Narnia, working with friends and Narnia is free.

The Pirate King also feels free, he has his ship and his crew and the ocean before him.

Spike always feels free. He and, of all people, Lord Vetinari of Anke Morpork are at one on this -- freedom includes the freedom to take the consequences.

Not that Spike has much respect for people like V. who think they should decide what the consequences are for strangers they're don't even have the decency to hate or covet. Just that no matter how constrained the external situation appears, Spike always knows he has all choices coiled beneath his skin.

Perhaps because he has almost no physical fear left, for himself anyway, coupled with limited patience, so it is very viscerally real to him that he might make even the stupidest, the kind most of us don't consider real choices at all.

That said, it doesn't hurt to have steel toed boots, a trench coat with at least a half a pack of fags in the pocket and a fifth of something that burns going down.

Clementine needs peace. Possibly pot and a certain amount of sexual expression (though not necessarily freedom).

Dixie needs artistic freedom and the freedom to express herself honestly.
