I am in love with not being at work today. And the power of sleep to make me feel human.

Gene is always, evermore, in love with his car. And his gun. And his job (sort of). And if you cornered 80s!Gene and subjected him to extreme torture, and promised him that no one would ever find out he said it...he might put Alex on the list.

Alex is deeply amused that it would take that much to get her on the list, after the bloody car.

Alex loves her daughter, Molly. She loves her team, as mental as they all are. And in the quiet moments at the end of the day, when she's telling her secrets to the tape recorder, she will confess that she loves a man she thinks will never love her in the same way. Because he's a pig-headed, conceited, immature bastard with more emotional attachment to his car than to a woman who might actually be his equal.
