I've been puttering around on Plurk and coming up with plot ideas that I can't play out because LJ keeps imploding. (ALLITERATION, WHAT WHAT)

It's basically one of those microblogging/social network sites like Twitter, except it allows you to have entire conversations, and also you earn "karma points" for posting/commenting/etc. From what I've seen, it's mostly used by RPers.

Just in case anyone wasn't informed yet, the site outage is now officially confirmed to be a DDoS attack.

Why they couldn't mention this two friggin' days ago, I have no idea.

I'm thinking the silence on the topic was because it had to do with possibly shutting down the DDOS'ers.

Been thinking about LJ and DW and G+.

Do I give in and put my full real name on G+ lest they suspend my e-mail? Or do I quit G+?

Do I start posting more to DW now that it's clear LJ will sooner or later be crunched for good by the DDOSes?

And should I post more in general? My head is awash with so much stuff, but I never have the time to write about any of it.

I've been hedging my bets, to be honest.
There's a blog over at dreamwidth that I'm fully intending on integrating into my facebook/real life persona. So I set up my Google+ account to go with that one.

I just wasn't comfortable using my fandom accounts, or my realperson account for yet another social networking site.

As for what'll happen with LJ? Only time will tell.
It's sad, but I take the DDOS attacks as a positive thing.

I've been busy with work mostly but planning lots of ploty things for when I get to the end of Ult. Ben Grimm's canon and bring 616 Ben back and how Ult. Ben will help 616 Ben deal with all the crap Marvel has been heaping on him.

Checked and rechecked the Fantasy Flight Games website for news items relating to the Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay series. Read webcomics. Read fanfic. Checked and rechecked the What's New page at DriveThruRPG. Sent a transcript of the Mallard Fillmore strip for Friday the 22nd to my local MF paper (which accidentally skipped running it) as some sort of twisted comment on the psychological capacities of the average Hagerstonian.
