Actually, it's a happy day! Not the getting up early(ish) thing, that stinks, but I don't think I've ever done the DE. So yaaay!

But it would have been far less rewarding.

See, you make me adore these characters, and I've only ever seen half an episode of canon.

It's the little things: a discarded bit of jewelry, a spare suit jacket, running shoes by the door, the way the cats talk at both of them when they're hungry.

The way Elle leans, and the way X leans back.

The way neither of them have to explain about the guns.

'Friendship' is too tame a word.

Um so I love everything this chooses to be, with so much said in what's not.

Greater things have been done with smaller steps.

Oh X, this is beautiful.

Every life is plagued with moments of doubt -- the death of a parent, the loss of a job, being dumped.

Publically executing a supervillain shouldn't be one of those moments, not for an Amazon who walked into it with eyes (almost) wide open.

And because of all the condemning stares, Kal's words, Bruce's silence --

Jeans are a fairly short-lived invention in the trillion-trillion lifespan of the universe.

Raven does not care.

He has walked long enough -- and far enough -- in both those and his raggedy black coat that each of them will always smell of home.

They ask him, the children, whether the stories of his past are true.

Whether he did all those terrible things in his attempts to tear the world in twain, to bring an end to all of existence.

"My dears," Galadan says, winter-grey eyes bright as they have ever been, "I have done all that, and so much worse."

But they, as all children eventually must, will need to judge that for themselves.

The Wolflord of the andain does not have much truck with 'sorry'.

Some men like to put down roots, find someplace nice and safe to call their own.

Dean just puts gas in his baby, snags some chips off the rack, and makes a beeline for Calfornia.

Roots woulda been a damn sight easier.

X-23 + Logan Stalking prey

The rattle of machine-gun fire shatters the air, ricocheting off the concrete walls of the bunker.

It's much to be expected when Wolverine, world-famous Avenger and X-man, comes knocking at a Purifier's door -- for a given value of 'door', of course.

What's less expected is the little girl that slips in through the air vents while everyone else is occupied with trying to take out the big guns.

They won't make that mistake next time.

It's what X and Logan are counting on.

AHAHAHA! This is awesome!

I love them, for srs.

It is probably fortuitous that Raven does not spend much of his time at strip malls in the Midwest.

Why?

Because that is the only reminder he has that it is Girl Scout cookie season.

The warehouses will not know what hit them.
