essayel has heard from Maru so I'm just going to copy and paste her last message to me.

Aaaaand I've spoken to her. She's still poorly and won't be online very soon. She says she'll need us to be patient while she gets well and then while she catches up with a very full mailbox. BUT she is on the mend.

Me, too! I was really worried when we didn't have any news that something was terribly wrong.

Tell her I am posting pics of the kittens to my journal to cheer her up. :)

Sal's the one who's been in direct contact with her. I'm still one remove off and I was worried too. I'm so used to seeing her online, its so odd to not have her greeting me.

Anytime someone is hospitalized with no prior warning, I assume the worst (I teach a rather dangerous sport). I actually assumed it was a car accident or something equally as horrifying. :(

I'm glad she's okay. I was biting my nails for a few days. (Sal was kind enough to PM me and let me know she would send info as soon as she had it.)

Not knowing is always hard.

My lung asploded. It was a thing called a lung embolism, and I had to go through some shot-to-nothing type treatment called thrombolysis, which was scary.

But I am alive.-

That is horrible! The same thing happened to my client. She was riding and kept having trouble breathing. It was so hot and dusty, I just thought she was suffering from allergies.

The next day she was rushed to the ER. She's lucky to be alive.

Let me know if we can go anything long distance (posting pics of the Siamese babies in their new home in Dallas where they reign a little more supreme than those in Lady and the Tramp :D)

Yep, I was having terrible trouble breathing, all week before, and it was getting worse. Honestly, I am so grateful I'm not in the US. In the US, I would have racked up many thousands of dollars of debts now. Here, my compulsory health insurance pays directly.-

Gah, my cats will be laying my flat to waste. Falk is cleaning up after them with the vacuum daily, which they hate. At least they will have a reason to be happy when I come back, eventually.-

Awwwww the paw pads! Awwwww that little Siamese nose!

That one is going to become a great if pedigree-free beauty.-

It is amazing to me that feral cats can still look Siamese! Those are some remarkable genes.

Apparently, that colony has been here for nearly 20 years. When the developers bought up the land and pushed them to the far corner, we got involved trapping them. But they have always been Siamese.

Which is a real testament to the hardiness of that breed!

Yeah I am still digging for the photo that had what was once my beautiful hand-made quilt from Nova Scotia (now the cat bed *sigh*)

Most recently, the two remaining grey ones have discovered the joy of biting my butt in the middle of the night and making me scream. This is so novel, they now do it all night long.

I stagger to work in the morning looking like I have been throough a bar room brawl. My clients look diffidently at me.

"Kittens," I mumble.

K, I am outta here. Have to teach early on Sundays.

We chat tonight, y/y?

But you must REST as well! Now is the opportunity to milk this for everything it's worth. "Oh, I can't bring myself to fetch the remote. My lung! *cough wheeeze* Oh, would you be a dear?? *batting eyelids furiously* Lunch? Oh, thank you, the cats and I would love some salmon!"
