sunday indulgences

yes, the bar has been quiet!
but i know there is still AWESOME out there that ya'll have done.

rl, rp, or any sort of awesome - show us!
major feats of accomplishment, slowtimes finished, or a 7-layer dip - parade it out!

(also, if you want to check in again w/ links to personal journals on DW, go for it!)

I've actually been kind of busy with RP all over the place so I have links to provide. I also wrote a little Demeter fic.
First in Bar and then out of it.

William ended up with a cat and between Urq and Teja as they argued.

He and Mary Bennet also discussed what they wish they could do and how much they can't.

Then over in the various DW sandboxes I've been very busy.

Charles and Sherlock Stark make me grin. Forgive my lack of knowledge about Oxford later in the thread but I love them. She likes his telepathy.

Charles met Jim Moriarty, they didn't work out.

Tumnus and Merc's werewolf because it's fun to make him feel like prey.

Charles and Antinoos were full of disbelief and banter.

Batya and I finished an uh-mazing thread you will have to wait until Friday to read. :( And Karkat and Fakir started a thread that has not gone very far yet, but is immensely promising.

In nonthreading, I re-designed Kanaya's LJ theme for Dreamwidth. I am really happy with it! Actually I think it is better than the original LJ theme. And I learned a lot about DW styles, to the point that I was able to program it with 6 "outfits" (color themes) that can be switched between. The current one is Rose, but there are also Breath, Blood, Jade, Space, and Sunshine.

Not a seven-layer dip, but! My bacon gravy was delicious.

After not attempting from-scratch gravy for years, I am inordinately pleased with today's results, okay.

:D!

I've still got to make sure he's going to be a voice that sticks (and one I can do justice), but oh, man. If so? I'm kind of excited about apps again!

Nothing in M'ways this week (although I do have a new headvoice that I'll be trying out in various sandboxes and, if she clicks, I'll be apping, because clearly M'ways needs a bisexual, archaeological-and-history minded young Muslim woman living in a France where Europeans nearly all got killed in the Black Death, right? Right? :D?), but I've been having a lot of fun with an AU Molly Hooper.

Possibly way too much fun, but ah well. It's nice to get some of my RP-groove back.

Over on DW, Sherlock Holmes and Guppy Sandhu got cell time for fighting, in what is one of the weirdest threads I have ever done.

And still going, but hilarious fun, another Sherlock Holmes is convincing Antinoos that Doctor Who is a religion, and Stephen Moffat their god.

I made and imported journals into DW, and then suddenly somebody new moved into my brain and decided to stay. Also, Tower decided to come along as well, from among the characters I had thought to leave behind.

[identity profile] stripenfoxen.livejournal.com 2012-01-16 12:31 am (UTC)(link)
Strength is so happy that Tower is staying you have no idea [well maybe you do X)].

Maybe. As Star is staying to, we'll get the remaining tarot cards safely over to Dreamwidth...

Um. *raises hand* I don't know if this counts, but...I got through Voodoo's canon in a monster 14-OOM string that took me five months to plan out and write?

I'm slowly but surely poking Claudia through canon (probably another post sometime tonight); Apollo took yesterday's happy hour, still in progress; over DW-side, Phyllis is hanging about again.

Also, the talk of moving planted an old idea in my head anew, SO: If anyone would be interested in a second round of Plot With Rocks In post-move, you need only say the word!

Conspiracy-spouting werewolf + naive one-of-a-kind bird = hilarity (http://mixed-muses.dreamwidth.org/7905.html) [in progress].

Thread testing (http://mixed-muses.dreamwidth.org/11297.html?thread=965409#cmt965409) Renegades!Xamot and Tomax for Distant Skies (http://distantskies.dreamwidth.org/) on DW, and I'm liking it already [gotta work on that application though P:<].

Do you want to get significantly more targeted free traffic from search engines for your website almost effortlessly? Well, with increased exposure around the internet it's possible. But most website owners are yet not aware of how to get the popularity that multiplies itself within days. As many webmasters say, this backlink and traffic service can bring potentially thousands of visitors to almost any website. So just visit http://xrumerservice.org to get started. :)

I...backed up every RP journal ever to DW.

And after disappearing into a Guy of Gisborne icons-hole after backing him up to DW... I've realised I need to research the 12th century Catholic Church's views on fate and pseudo-timetravel.

Sorry I'm late, I was returning from con-going with Gray yesterday. I got, among other things, a Zombie Chibithulhu plushie, a tiny wrist-mounted mangonel, and a proofreading job! (Voluntary on my part and I will be paid in userpics and, of course, free books.) I also got to perform "It's the End of the World (As We Know It)" twice, with the karaoke screen turned off, thank you very much, and I let the karaoke guy know about all the songs available from Jonathan Coulton's website, because if you are running karaoke at cons you need this. Now, of course, I have Con Flu (in the form of a cold), but it was well worth it.

RP-wise, Enzo is meeting Quorra. Paradigm: shifted.
