More tag-related things!

1) These tags will be going bye-bye in a few hours, so if there's any of them you'd like to salvage - or whose related posts you'd like to track down and memory/re-tag - hop to!

2) There are a number of characters with multiple character tags. This is contributing to tag bloat, so if any of your characters have more than one tag, please pick just one to use. Find the posts tagged with their other tags, re-tag them with the tag you're planning to keep, and comment here letting us know which ones we can delete.

(For example, for Character X, say you have been using both 'tag A' and 'tag B'. If you decide you want to keep 'tag A', you should go back and find all the posts tagged with 'tag B', re-tag them with 'tag A', and then comment here to let us know we can delete 'tag B'.)

Be warned: if you don't, and we spot instances of characters using multiple tags, we may just pick one for you!

3) Not tag-related, but: yes, we have seen the latest Dreamwidth news. Stay tuned!

Since we've had two Merlins I've been using "merlin emrys" for the BBC Merlin and leaving the "merlin" tag for the other Merlin.

Now that OpenID claiming is out of beta and community import restrictions are definitely listed, we are checking off what's already done on our big-ass to-do lists and recomputing our initial schedule to come up with concrete dates.

As of RIGHT NOW THIS EXACT MOMENT!!!, Cam... has stepped out for groceries, but also is collecting lists of which characters people want to retire/delete as part of the shake-up, and I am drafting the giant central organise-y post of doom and making sure everything makes sense/all the links point to the right place/etc.

cool! Problem is that restarting at least one of my pups is going to be hard to do. There is a lot of plottage that has happened and I am not sure i want to. What can we do about that?

That depends! What exactly do you mean by 'restarting'?

From what I have seen in some of the mod posts pups that are gonna be in the DW Milliways are restarted, and haven't ever been to the Bar before, like AU versions. Sorry about the stupid questions, I've just been so busy with school and work, I am not caught up on the news.

Again, it depends what you mean by 'restarted'.

Many characters will be coming over to DW with no change.

Some characters will be retired and remain out of circulation, so nobody can app them (same as regular retired characters are now).

Some characters will be retired, but allowing for someone else to possibly app a different version of them in the future.

Some characters will be deleted, which will mean that officially, they are erased from game continuity, and can be apped with a clean slate.

It all depends on what you personally want to do with your character.
