Enzo and Clem may have finally finished their Hallowe'en thread (unless she has anything more to add).
My 30th birthday is coming up in less than a month, and I do not know what I want to do for it! Any suggestions? Note: I do not have a great many friends within plausible travelling distance (I can think of five), but that is okay since I am an introvert and find large parties exhausting.
Assuming you mean jelly in the British sense of gelatin, that's out as I'm a vegetarian; however, I might be able to manage something with agar gel. (I do have an awesome brain-shaped mold...) And I am unfamiliar with pass-the-parcel.
Jelly as in jello - there's no veggie jelly you can get? :( FAIL
Pass-the-parcel is a game where you basically have some sort of present wrapped in a million layers of wrapping paper/newspaper/whatever and in the layers you hide sweets or forfeits or whatever. ANnnnnd what happens is you play music and everyone passes the uh... parcel around and when the music stops, whoever has the parcel unwraps a layer.
Then whoever ends up unwrapping the last layer wins whatever cheesey prize is in the middle. Admittedly it's a kids game...
Oh, there's agar if nothing else; I'll have to look up instructions.
Ahhhh. Yeah, it sounds like a standard kiddy party game. We don't play it here that I've ever heard of, but, y'know, similar lines to Musical Chairs or Hot Potato.
I applied for two jobs, have plans to apply for more and have been doing my best not to turn into a ball of stress.
In terms of RP, I've done the most with William and Charles as they keep being loud.
William had a busy day at the stable with Katya giving him a magic protection, dealing with demon bunnies with McCabe, and trying not to feel like he wasn't doing enough with Teja.
Yes, please. Everything of his is still open if it's one the first page. I think tonight at work I might see about finishing one of his fics. The little kid EP was actually a way for me to play with how he approaches dreams.
I also forgot to mention the great thread I've been having with Batty's Logan over here. *sneaks it into this comment* It's X-Men thread, so fits.
Though I've been a slow loris in the RPG world, I did officially bring 616 Ben back to Milliways (http://milliways-bar.livejournal.com/24419621.html). He's likely to all emo for a bit though.
Also just to warn folks, I'm moving this weekend and tonight we are cutting internet. I'll be back online Tuesday at work but since I've had two days off my in-basket might be a little crazy.
And is it just me or are LJ notifications being fritzy again?
I have had a lot of fun threads this week, but my favorite is this one, where Karkat got shot by John McCabe and disarmed him temporarily, with a threat to make it permanent.
I actually EPedClare! She is bewildered, and I am having tons of fun. (Even if I'm up in just about every slowtime. Um. Sorry, guys! Tonight I will tag back.)

Demeter and Teja helped Carlotta have her child.
Will had a great conversation with McCabe about what loyalty to your people means. McCabe's a great addition to the Bar.
Then over in sandboxes, a number of the time shifted threads that started last week were finished and Charles is feeling confused.

He showed a vulnerable side of himself and opened up much more than he normally would and it left him at a loss.

Spoilers for the Reichenbach Fall
In which the word meta has fled in the shame of inadequacy at not being able to fully describe what happens when Richard Brook as Jim Moriarty and Jim Moriarty as Richard Brook have a conversation.
