First Ever Milliways Plotting Meme!

Welcome to the first-ever (and mod-approved!) Milliways Plotting meme! What's a Plotting Meme? It's a place to gather new plots and interactions for characters you're stalled for ideas with, characters new to bar, or pups you're dying to find rivals, friends, or romantic partners for! It's also a place to toss out ideas for larger plots. Looking to run a season-specific event or mini-plot? Ask here!

Here's how to particpate:

1: Copy and paste the information in one of the text boxes below into a comment; the bottom one if you're looking for a plot for your character or the top if you have a large, bar-wide plot you'd love to get other characters involved in.

For Individual Characters:

2: Give us your character's name, journal address, and a brief description of who they are and what they do - no more than a brief paragraph that summarizes this and their current bar plot.

3: Then tell us what kind of relationship you're looking to cultivate: romance, rivalry, a business partner, etc. Do this for each pup you'd like plot for.

4: After posting your comment, scan the post, see if anyone else's offer cataches your eye, and comment to them! If you've threadded with someone before and want to build on the interaction you've had, tell them so! Details can be worked out in private or they can be worked out on the meme, whichever you prefer.

2: List where your plot will be taking place, which characters it will involve and what you're looking for.

Flat | Top-Level Comments Only

Plot Idea: Plot With Rocks In, or: quasi-alive definitely-contagious near-fatal rock and roll, as born on the Disc. For an idea of what it does, check out the plot tag from last time.
While nothing ever happens the same way twice, and it will therefore start and likely end differently, the gist will remain the same; the Music is unleashed on the bar, shenanigans and gratuitous bluetext ensue for a couple weeks, and then someone chases it out the door again.
where it's taking place: In the bar, after the move, probably by at least a month so we all have time to recover from the Allpocalypse.
Characters Involved: I'll be re-apping Imp y Celyn under One Universe Over, as there's no better Patient Zero; Claudia Donovan's going to get the bug hard.
I Am Looking For:
Participants on both sides of the plot! Your character doesn't have to be remotely musically inclined to get the bug (let's consider how hard the wizards get hit by it in Soul Music); it's entirely up to whether you think it would be fun/funny for that to happen.
But perhaps more important is the people who realise it needs to be stopped. This can be people who got the bug (or just witnessed it) last time around, or it can be new participants; either works. I'm still working on how to chase it out short of pulling a literal deus ex machina (Apollo will not be best pleased by something screwing with one of his domains), which I'd also rather not do because last time one of the things that drove me nuts was playing both sides of the plot. XD

a) this is a lovely meme idea

b) I know Ava is trying to earn Good Citizen points, so I'll tentatively offer her as someone trying to solve problems, right wrongs etc. she has supernatural powers and fears almost nothing? for this one, she'd clearly be on the new-participants side of things.

I'm willing to give you one shiny Security Officer who can help you figure out "Things What Have Gone Wrong" and plan for how to get rid of it.

Ahaha.

I would be stoked to get a certain deputy U.S. Marshal with a healthy appreciation for music involved! I would love for Raylan to catch the bug, and after hilarity has ensued, have him realize it must be stopped.

HEEEEE. I would say it's... difficult but not impossible to realise there's a problem when you're affected; it's all in how hard you get sucked in. But that would be superfun to play with!

Oh, realization afterward, for sure! After-the-fact horror, and ~something must be done.~ >:DDD (But, of course, I am more than happy to play it either way! If it better serves the plot for him to be in some kind of fugue/less than cognizant after the fact, I am gold with that. /evil laugh)

I can't decide if it would be awesome or disastrous to toss Orpheus into this one.

APOLLO SAYS IT WOULD BE DISASTROUS. But he may be slightly biased. XD (I mean, he's been eyeing this plot idea with much eyeing and going 'look, we can't all be Orpheus...', so.)
I say: I think there's a good chance Orpheus would realise Something Was Up, but if you think it'd be funnier to have him get the bug instead/as well, Rule of Funny always wins.

I'd love to offer Moist to get involved with this on the Discworld end but I don't think he'll get hit. He doesn't seem to get struck by things as much as other people.

Yet I think some of my others could work for noticing and even being hit. I'll have to look them over and figure out who would work best as I don't want to swamp myself too much.

I am so chuffed you're doing this again, as I was too scared and new to join in last time. And Soul Music is in my top three pterry books! Also, if it's a month after the move - perfect timing! I will definitely get one or more pup infected. And offer up a Vimes for investigating into it - though I think he'd go a bit WHERE'S MY COW? on me if I got him infected. But either way, I'm in. :)

I Am Looking For:

Semi-started up, but the Fool has decided that he's the King of Milliways. I'm looking for people to join his court of madness. He'd like a queen, prince and princess (Gender roles don't need to apply here) as well as some other advisers. (Hopefully his Vizir will forgive him after the move...)

Yrael will ultimately forgive him, of course. The grand vizier is looking forward to the usurpation far too much to give up now. >_>

I so need to throw Jules at The Fool again soon!

Plot Idea: Jules and Shawn - stuck in that infamous phase of their romance in which they think everyone should be in a relationship - have decided to find a girlfriend for Gus. They will put up a personal ad on the notice board, to which various pups may respond and then schedule dates through them for Gus. After the dates are all said and done, the plot'll come to an end when Gus himself finds out what's happened and Feelings Are Bruised.

I Am Looking For: Female characters! Single female characters! Female characters willing to pretend they're single! Give me your vamps, your fairies, your huddled supervillainesesss yearning to see other people! Anyone who wants to toss their pups into the situation.

Agnes is single and looking (see comment below). I'm not sure how well she'd take to having her feelings bruised over a guy again, but it's worth discussing.

Eee! Excellent :) I (and Gus mun, who allcapsed at me in delight when she saw this) would be delighted to have Agnes be part of the plot!

Shawn and Jules will post the notice about a week or two after the Alpocalypse happens (they're in the process of fleeing Bar in their last EP.) :)

ETA: Gus mun says you can come hit her up for plotting through your preferred contact here at Gus' Dreamwidth :). I don't have her IM offhand, but if you prod her OOC contact I think she'll be able to arrange chatting that way :)

Information: Agnes is a witch, as in a literal witch. She looks the part, too, with the black dresses and the pointy black hat. She is also fat (her description, not mine) and has come to the point where she's pretty okay with that.

I Am Looking For: Romance! She's had two relationships ever, and those were years ago. She's fairly desperate for a shag at this point, but too old-fashioned for one-night-stands.

She is heterosexual, but only because she's not aware of any other option. Witches have a natural "girl power" thing working for them already, so a particularly willing female could definitely fit the bill just as well as a man.

I Am Looking For: Xanatos is a villain without a hero right now. It's no fun doing shady and dastardly things if there's no chance you'll be caught at it.

Out of Bar Plot: The Purge

Plot Idea: The Purge refers to the war between CLU and the Isos, although "genocide" is actually a better word for it. Quorra will want to use every advantage she has, which includes pulling in other Users from Milliways to help in the fight.
where it's taking place: Quorra's world, i.e., the Grid
Characters Involved: Just Quorra, so far.
I Am Looking For: Anyone who'd like to help the resistance, especially computer-types who can augment programming. Also fighters willing to be digitized for the final battle (which, to be consistent with canon, the Isos lose).

This likely won't be happening for a while, but I wanted to go ahead and put it out there to see what interest there might be.

Plot Idea: Eradicating the source of the supermutant threat in the Capital Wasteland
where it's taking place: Vault 87 and environs, the Capital Wasteland, Fallout Earth
Characters Involved: Fawkes and a bunch of NPCs; anybody who might want to sign up
I Am Looking For: The idea behind this plot is that the only source of supermutants on the East Coast is Vault 87, so the Brotherhood of Steel wants to destroy that source before the mutants can make any more of their own kind. That’s going to require infiltrating an underground facility with a heavily irradiated front door and planting several thermobaric ‘bunker buster’ bombs inside the facility. What I’m looking for are people who want to help with the fighting on the surface, or with the bomb planting and data retrieval inside the Vault. The radiation at the front door need not be a complete barrier; a few people might be able to get in via direct air drop at the door itself and only be exposed to a relatively small amount of radiation. Alternatively, Fawkes can open doors to the Bar from inside the Vault. There may also be an opportunity for interacting with the all-children-and-preteens community of Little Lamplight if people are interested.

The Vault is essentially a horror setting with a lot of guns, rather than an action/survival setting like most of the Capital Wasteland. Fair warning.

Plot Idea: Getting a pre-War robot factory working again
where it's taking place: Again, the Capital Wasteland, this time several hours’ travel south of Megaton
Characters Involved: Right now, Ellen and possibly Sameth; others welcome
I Am Looking For: Science types and people with an interest in working with technology that really should not work at all. Ellen wants to get the old RobCo factory functioning again, assuming the materials needed to build robots can be found or manufactured. Having a steady source of labor that doesn’t sleep, eat, or worry about radiation can make a heck of a lot of difference in the Wasteland. Problem is, the only power source on the premises is barely enough to run the emergency lighting and central mainframe, plus nobody in the area even really knows how to start. There may or may not be combat involved along the way, especially if the efforts show signs of success, but that’s mostly optional for this plot.
