It's kind of hilarious, at least my part. Switching a Fallout character into Ponyville, and a pony into the Capital Wasteland could be either hilarious or traumatizing. In this case, I think we've both (or all, I suppose, since Leesha's providing the in-Ponyville parts) managed to hit the former.
Sort of a mixed bad. It's been fun for Charlie, but most of my other pups want nothing to do with it. And I really don't have the time to give the larger plot its due, though at least I had some time to think about things over the holiday weekend.
Question: will there be any sort of EP of the lost and found box, for pups to climb in? Can we do EPs from inside the box? What's it like in there? It is like the TARDIS or Snoopy's doghouse?
Adrian Shephard is more annoyed by the Allpocalypse than anything else, because it's hard to take the end of the world seriously when you're up to your eyeballs in alien eyeball dogs. Arcade found the atom bomb, reported it, drank a great deal, and then slept it off before LEAVING. Ellen went back to her world after things went transparent, and is hoping things go well in her absence, but... not really counting on it. Gordon is annoyed as hell and camping out in one of the corridors because his room door turned into a vertical slab of grass and blinking eyes.
And Ray is completely unaware of the whole mess, being a little too wrapped up in going over all of his equations to find out where he went wrong with his equipment. I strongly suspect he'll emerge soon and announce that he forgot to carry the two.
Yeah, that might work. 'Didn't carry the two' is a little bit of an overused trope anyway, and Ray usually explains his whatever-it-is-of-the-week in terms of badly mangled physics anyway.
Beyond my part in facilitating things I haven't had much time to get involved, so I have stuck Karkat into his own personal eldritch phenomenon for the duration. The OOM for that yesterday turned out really well! So I am about as pleased as I can be midway through a six day week.
I'm loving being involved in this and three of my pups have had plot things happen to them and Will is staying in for the duration.
It's great too the small moments mixed with the grand, that's what I love so much about this game. How you can go from the end of the world to sex on a couch to hellhounds in a thread and only get a little whiplash.
It let me be a dork with the Trickster and the only true trumpet a guy like him could ever wield -- plus, bonus points: Batya and I got to use the moment to have Kali figure out his real name! YESSSSS. -- and I have played Olivia more in the past week than in, like, the whole four months preceding.
Well even just reacting and being present and confused is something. Will's been my most active just because he's around and hating that he can't do enough.
I may be able to find a way to get Rory (or someone - Hermione? Idk) in before the end of this. :)
(And d'oh. I totally realized that I did sort of use the Allpocalypse to exeunt Ned from the game, since he isn't making the move to DW. That counts, right?)
Let's talk! LIBRARIANS. I have literally no idea what ~can~ happen, but the ~possibilities~ are certainly delightful.
... For instance.
Ava wants to take her coffee to go and return to her work hell dimension before the apocalypse hits, buuuut I kind of think it would be funny if she got redirected to the library via malfunctioning spacetime. "DOWN WITH THE SHIP, ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN."
And Hermione can find herself in the SAME PREDICAMENT on wanting to leave with Harry and Ron.
And some of the books might try to flee the library, but they're part of the collection, damnit, so they have to be wrangled back into their right place. ALPHABETICALLY!
I AM GOING TO LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF THIS RIDICULOUSNESS. Claudia... isn't so much, but she'll get over it. And when all's said and done, there will be an OOM of 'Shut up, Artie, I just averted the apocalypse. ALL OF THEM.'
The apocalypse is going brilliantly for me. I'm loving it in general, but is it crazy of me to have the warm fuzzies now Aziraphael and Crowley are actively in the bar and involved in it? As I said in chat, a warm fuzzy apocalypse? What the heck am I on? :)
Sariel's not so thrilled about events, understandably. Not at all. She and Will made me teary-eyed yesterday, good gosh. Sariel will be back in for the doom kaboom, I know that much. No way she's missing that.
Jim has been regarding the ongoing apocalypse with some concern. Though he's kept calm about it. He's not prone to histrionics.
McCabe, on the other hand, has apparently grab a bottle of whiskey, plant himself on the bar, and challenge the place to a race to oblivion. It's ultimately a fruitless one, seeing as how he's already dead, but he views anything that renders him unable to think to be a plus at this point.
Borgel is both concerned and fascinated. Concerned mostly for his young super-great-nephew Melvin (or whatever relation he is), and so has shunted them off on the pretense that he's following them. But he wouldn't miss this for the world. Even if worse comes to worst, it'd be a great way for an old man to go out.

(Anonymous) 2012-02-22 12:23 pm (UTC)(link)I guess that might do it?
(From a physics undergrad student, just getting interested in milliways, who has seen the effect that can have on calculations...)

Ava got to collect a corpse with hellhounds. What more could a girl want?

And now I kind of feel like it may just be too late to jump in? So I've been kind of watching it from the sidelines.

But yes. None of the pups I've got left in my roster, after deleting/retiring the lot of them, are really apocalypse-friendly either.
Ah, well!

But even if their weapons don't do any good, some good ol' fashioned badass-y heroism would be fun!

It's such a Milliways' plot, make of it what you will.

what would that be?? NOT SURE.

You and I should talk.
That could hold some potential.
AND ~INVOLVEMENT~

sorry now I'm stuck on the image of Hermione zapping an unruly book with a spell like a lifeboat captain shooting an unruly passenger
