This combined with a memory of looking back to see bad CGI pretending to be an anaconda a giant snake and running like hell!

But she has been here long enough to get the whole it-can't-follow-you-here idea, so she's pretty calm besides that.

"Good. Do you know where we are?" He dislikes not knowing and her thoughts seem to be about a jungle.

Jungles and surprisingly temperate forests!

"All I know is there's a huge disconnect between where we are and where we were." She's resigned to that. "Some kind of space thing? I don't know."

Once you've been chased by a few unkillable giant snakes, bizarro pocket dimensions are no big.

"Yes, it's rather disconcerting yet most people here don't seem too bothered by it,"

A lot of the thoughts are comfortable and grateful, which is intriguing.

"What about you?" She tosses her paper-wrapped bar of soap and catches it. "You seem pretty calm here."

After all, not everyone can be chased in here by a genetic aberration.

"I'm good at adapting," Which is true in quite a lot of ways.

Oh, now you got her smiling. "It's a good trait to have." She absently checks her other pocket. She can't remember what's in most of them now.

"Would a table be helpful?" That way she can lay out all the things she finds.

"For adapting?" Amanda is missing the dimension of this conversation where he can read her mind, and is left staring at him blankly.

"For whatever you're trying to find in your pockets."

"I'm finding out what I have. I packed in a jumble and I'm still getting used to all these pockets."

"Then it might help to be able to set it out before you instead of just digging around,"

People who don't want to empty out their pockets think things like where is the detonator?

"I'd better sort it out later. I don't know how much dirt and leaves I'm hauling around. I've been cleaning up."

He nods and raises an inner eyebrow at the thought of a detonator, she doesn't look like she's in the army,

"I see. It looks like there's a restroom back there if you want to clean up some more."
