It is morning, and somewhat short of twenty-four hours still, but my new ipad 3 and its black leather bound, blue-stitched, incredibly fancy case is making it incredibly impossible to focus/sleep/stop grinning like I'm five. Sharing my toy joy with the world!
Oh man, me too. It hasn't even been a winter, really.
Which I was fine with in November and December and even into January, after last year's enormous neverending heaps of snow, but seriously? One small blizzard and a couple of flurries, and that's it? Come on, New England.
Well. Says some of them. I have been in the low-and-high eighties for over month. It does not look like this winter or spring thing anywhere about these South-Central parts.
Delighted that this was not a snowy winter, as the winter before this one was bitterly cold and we got tons of snow. Snow and ice do not mix well with walkers and canes. I'm very glad that it will soon be spring, at least on the calendar.
Though, mind you, we've gotten hailstorms on Memorial Day.
Y'all, it is going to hit 80 here today. I have mixed feelings -- bring on the warmth, but sit on the humidity.
Though, hey. In the last couple weeks, Kentucky has seen killer tornadoes, six inches of snow, balmy afternoons, severe thunderstorms, and 70-degree days; if I don't like what's going on out-of-doors, I'll just wait five minutes.
I have all these gorgeous fluttery dresses and skirts and, like, where exactly do I think I live?? Why do I own three pairs of sunglasses?!
We get a maximum two months of warm weather a year, in September and October. I am sad I miss Texas and I EVEN MISS LOS ANGELES, WHICH, LET ME JUST TELL YOU I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SAY.

But fear not! I am sure it will pick up moisture from the the Gulf and the Great Lakes and dump on you. Winter is not defeated yet!

Last March was cold but I need to plan Dem's solstice entrance as she wants to go out and heal the ground make things grow.
