I can haz weekend DE?

...I can haz weekend DE.

Hokay. So.

Your pup's on Broadway!

No, seriously. They're in a Broadway show in some capacity. (Whether or not this is an AU is up to you.) What kind of show is it? What's their role? Is it a two-night flop or the toast of the town? What kind of crazy shit happens on- and off-stage (if crazy shit happens at all)?

This DE brought to you by the Book of Mormon soundtrack.

I'm pretty sure Ray would wind up in some world's Broadway musical version of Ghostbusters. God knows they're mining the crap out of the Eighties anyway.

And I have a horrible urge to shove one of my action types into Spider-man: Turn Off The Dark....

It would be awesome if Ray got rejected when he tried out to play himself. Who would he play, then? XD

Either the clerk at the Sedgewick Hotel for their first case, or the Mayor of New York, I think. Or, possibly, one of the people advising the Mayor of terrible things going on in the city right before the Ghostbusters are brought in- you know, the part with the black police chief who informs the Mayor that the walls in the Fifty-third Precinct were bleeding? One of those guys.

I'd point John at War Horse, but they used puppets for that rather than real horses.

I can see Ben in a Phantom of the Opera-esk super hero musical. There'd be crazy stunts and effects and the music would be glorious. There'd also be a heavy dose of 4th wall breakage in the form of the cast knowing about the audience and talking at them.

The Galactus at the end would be immense.

Wing would probably end up in Les Miserables. Because he likes the angst like that. Ideally as Cosette.

Yyyyyeah, don't ask how my mind went there.

It occurs to me, Equestrian theatre probably has shows where they use birds for the orchestra. So that'd be Fluttershy's role: conductor. (She does not like being on stage.)

Felix, if you can get him to do it at all, might play the villain. Especially if the play's being put on in Dark Dawn continuity. I could see him getting a kick out of playing the bad guy, especially if the role calls for a LARGE HAM. Just as long as everybody's aware that he's acting, and it's not really him.

...I ought to do something with that idea. Felix could really use some loosening up.

I have no idea for Kain, although it would be absolutely hilarious to contrive a situation where he has to sing the Aria de Mezzo Carattere.

If Lois is in a Broadway show, she's probably either A) on stage in some undercover capacity, and she's not a bad singer either; B) in the techies doing investigating, or C) this is some bizarre AU musical about Superman in which case she's Lois Lane. It's probably successful, and would last a while if only nothing blows up in the mean time (and, uh, unlikely).

Tavi and Broadway shows just don't mix. They don't. Maybe he could do... no. He couldn't even do set design. He can do some engineering/building stuff type design, and maybe could be good with technical stuff. But Tavi + art = out of cheese error.

I am picturing a chorus line of doomed Aradiabots.

There is nothing more that this mun would love to see than a kick line made up entirely of firemen.

Although there can never be a musical about firefighters because yelling FIRE in a theater is never a good thing.

I laughed for like ten minutes straight after seeing this DE.

It'd have to be an original musical; I've spent the last several years trying (and failing) to come up with an existing Broadway part that would be an excellent fit for this guy. But it would totally be the toast of the town!

I dunno, can he dance? I could see him in Billy Elliot....

Kurt isn't the worst of the show's dancers! But he definitely isn't the best, either. He's somewhere around the undistinguished middle of the pack; probably not intense enough for what I know of Billy Elliot.

I could totally see Twilight as the female lead in a production of The Music Man. As cliche as it sounds, though, what she really wants to do is direct.

Alyx... well, her VA is a Broadway actress when she's not doing video game voiceovers, does that count?

She was also the Lady of the Lake in the touring cast of Spamalot.

Mel Brooks decides there still aren't enough Tony Awards on his shelf and finally brings the last of his as-yet-unadapted films to the stage.

Don't be surprised if Jim looks considerably more Nathan Lane-ish than usual.

Pinkie and Dixie would be one-woman-show types. And Clementine, obviously, is stripping off of Times Square in a glass booth ;)
