True facts: I started these way back when! Then other people started doing them which made sense since I wasn't always in the game, and now I'm doing one 'cause it ain't up yet! I'm pleasantly surprised and pleased that these have been running for as long as they have. Thread pimps are great, but sometimes you don't want to wait for someone else to notice your awesome, y'know?

I brought in Beast Boy and he met Tyler before getting Dared in my backroom post to come in singing the US national anthem as a chipmunk. He did this and met Twilight who is currently blowing his mind as hey talking unicorn!

Hank is still doing secret things for the CIA but I wrote a couple of fics, one before the Hanger scene and then the Hanger scene itself. Disclaimer: these will likely change dramatically when his canon mates get to the scene and so these should not be taken as milicanon. Also note that the journal I am using for post furry Hank is different from the one I will be using in Bar.

Also over in the sandboxes I hopped on the Marvel Gender Bender Bus and played with a Dr. Stephanie Strange. She met a young Charles Xavier, her old buddy Maggie Murdock and Maria Stark-Rogers (the future of the super hero biz?). Fun times.

Oh and awesoem practice you started so high fives for you!

And in RL, nearly ten years ago I become a father and I'm still enjoying the adventure!

I took the hornse by the reigns (...literally?) and beat Twilight Princess. I'm not going to brag about impressive feats of gaming skill 'cause I woulda been done with this at least a week ago if I hadn't ragequit over the hornseback battle. But I beat it and now I'm playing Ocarina of Time 3D and sob why does sky_child's canon not have a Ganon. Such a smarmy bastard! Although I am amused by no end by Demise and Ghirham being these hateful, bloodthirsty Demon King/Lord who insist on having manners and introducing themselves and complementing Link even though they're totally going to kill him and his whole family and his little dog, too! Maybe Demise's war against Hylia wasn't a full out war but a really passionate debate over tea during which Ghirahim sneakily slipped poison into Hylia's tea but it didn't kill her off before she totally owned Demise with her rhetoric and he crawled into a hole for a thousand years as he licked off his debate wounds.

Threadwise, I really enjoyed Link's thread with the Fool and Mary Bennet, as they both gave me some unexpected insight to his character/backstory/cultural environment.

I finished my remaining two Gaeta slowtimes, one with Boyd Crowder and the other with Cordelia Vorkosigan. It's so nice that he has people looking out for him and offering him more pot I mean um.

RL-wise, I finally found out when roller derby tryouts will happen (September, so I've got plenty of time! PHEW) and got myself a new set of wheels for the only Metro-accessible indoor rink in the area. They're getting s spin tomorrow; maybe I'll no longer feel like I'm skating through flypaper on that floor! LORD ONLY HOPES.

Oh, yeah, and I rode in a 1930s-style roadster convertible when I went to visit my dad Friday night. >:D Coolest death trap ever. I was totally nodding back at the people gawking at us and going, "Oh, yeah. We know. Our car's awesome."

Anyway: Teja arrests ALL THE LOKIs (context from PFSB here -- executive summary: even though it doesn't count in Milliways, this isn't the first Loki Teja had to arrest with great regrets, and it amuses me -- now he'll just have to run afoul of our own anotherstolenrelic-Loki, and he would have collected them all), and he takes Kate Barlow to Gotland, because having a woman you might have fallen in love with but haven't said a word to yet go and meet the family (which the Gotlanders are, for all practical purposes) is totally a good idea... Silly Goth!

Well, my biggest accomplishment this week is that I am actualfax writing again.

Not RPing, but writing.

It is honestly the most frustrating, most glorious, most satisfying thing ever to get back into it once more.

This week has been up and down as I found out I didn't get one job and tried to connect with others. I wrote a post over on my librarian blog about what's currently inspiring me. I've been having a huge amount of fun with teenage Charles in PFSB and MM, his awkward makes me happy.

Tumnus had an EP that made me so happy. The thread with Caspian is my favorite and I loved his one with Mary Margaret.

Charles got his degree and canon is moving forward. Beginning of this week, there will be OOMs.

William met Jack Twist, Jess Day, took care of Michael, there's also a thread to Ellen about where he learned of Michael being sick, and helped Mary with her beads. He and Katya were odd together and he and Jack West talked family.

Moist and Howl are playing toss the question and being fun.

It's been a long week, but it ended well. I'm still enjoying birthday gift cards and making them last.

I'm in London, guys! Yays! Naturally, not everything went right coming in. The night I came in consisted largely of panicking and confusion, since the online service I used to plan my itinerary neglected to inform me that the tube line I was planning to take was closed at the station I planned to take it from on account of construction. So after much fumbling, pacing about, and running into a KFC* to get change for a five pound note, I was finally able to take a bus to Liverpool Street Station at 2 in the morning, at which point I collapsed onto my bed...with my head on some towels because I forgot to bring a pillow.

Today: Shopping for things I forgot, drinking at pubs, walking around aimlessly. I'm having the time of my life already. I've almost forgotten about the studying I'll have to do.

Milliwise, we have several things, most notably Borgel in Jess Day's first EP. I'd link to more, but I'm about to head down to a pub to watch Netherlands-Portugal with some friends.

* Why are there so many KFCs here? There seem to be more of them than Burger Kings and McDonaldses put together. I swear, I've seen like twenty of them in the first day alone, and I haven't even seen that much of the city yet.

Yay, I love those first few days in a new place when its all new and a little unreal. I hope it all keeps going well.

Living abroad and studying abroad is one of the greatest experiences out there as well as a complicated one.

I... did not thread. I kept meaning to, though. And I better catch up some this week, or I'll feel really guilty about whatever ends up being done with the milliponies for the Summer Sun Celebration.

But I did do a thing! I crocheted! Specifically, I worked on this and this. Of the former, I've done one desert hex (plus the practice one, on a larger hook), one mountain hex, one field hex, one pasture hex, and two ocean hexes. On the latter, I've got the head and most of the body finished, though no ears or neck yet.
