Happy Monday, all. The heat seems to have broken somewhat in my part of the world since it decided to rain a goodly amount overnight, so I can't complain about my drive into work too badly. Hope everyone's day starts out well, and ends that way too. What's on the menu for today with everyone?

I have the week off! Which means I get to do an assortment of errands and fun things. Today, the doctor but tomorrow Prometheus and Wednesday a museum!

Also, time for RP and OOMs, I hope.

I woke up, one of the first two times, to the steady, sweet, beautiful sound of rain, too. Maybe it'll be a little less than solid early 100's today in Texas, too.

Presentation with the director of my department today and maybe an EP for Mars as well as other RPGing.

Later in the week my dad, sister and her son are visiting for shenanigans. Not sure if we're hitting the beach, museums or what but it should be fun.

Returning to work after a couple of days off, on the Monday after the first phase of an office renovation. I'm waiting for the phone calls, complaining of how things have changed.

Heat.

Hot days all week. No highs below 30C (80F), no lows below 17C (60F), no reliable air conditioning for work, no air conditioning at home at all.

I took a week off to teach kids how to ride bikes at a camp being held near me. My first shift starts in about an hour or so.

But I need a job, and I need to find out why the financial aid people are only giving me half of what the Fafsa people say I should get. Especially when that half is less than a single semester's tuition, let alone books.

I'm seeing a National Theatre broadcast of Frankenstein on Thursday night, and plan to spend Friday hanging with my sis and playing with my nephew. Other than that, the usual: writing and trying to get my back to behave. Maybe some RP. We'll see how the writing goes first.

Skating tonight, skating Wednesday, very likely skating Thursday, skating Saturday. I think I kind of tripped and fell into a OH GOD MUST STEP UP MY GAME attitude after my assessment this past weekend. *wry grin* And the weather's going to be cool enough that I can actually, like, skate outside and shit without dying of heatstroke! I have to take advantage of this before we go back to roasting.

I'm hoping for a quiet week. It's Big's last week of ESY so then we've got from July 14 to August 2 to try and keep things as even keep and "school-like" as possible to avoid the routine change explosion that seems to happen every summer.

Would like to finish up a few of the OOMs I've got going across characters and will probably be spending entirely too much time doing smutty stuff with my OCs over in TLH.

So, yeah... stuff.

My first solo-mission handling a visiting client. Not that big a deal, as I am just the welcome/babysitting committee, except for the part where it is, because I had to leave early this morning to grab them breakfast, and dash about to get them lunch, and oh yeah, someone wants a diet Red Bull.

Did you know they make Diet Red Bull?

I did not know this! But, apparently they do! And they aren't labeled 'Diet Red Bull'.

But, I secured food, the "Diet" Red Bull, made bank deposits, sat in on a meeting, and oh yeah, my big movie project is coming up this weekend and so I am flailing like a flailing thing getting all that organized.

Lucky me, I have an Awesome team helping me out, and we are gonna kick some ass.

So excited.

So, yeah, today has been insanity, but y'know? I'm kinda lovin' it.

I am going to love the nap I'll be taking this evening even more, though.
