Substitute DE: Pets
So what pet did or does your pup care for? Are they like a toy or a valued member of the family? What pet would they get if they could have anything? The multiverse is the limit! And how about yourself?

It may be worth noting that the only demons from her own universe that she actually likes are hellhounds.
Meanwhile, Puck is himself kind of a kitty. He's ... Havelock's pet ....?

Darius had a cat growing up that he treated as part of the family and his parents treated like something they tolerated for the sake of the kids.
Orpheus doesn't have pets in particular, but stray cats and dogs tend to hang around him because they like his music. He always carries dog treats in his jacket somewhere, and he really likes animals, he just has never had one of his own.
Nikola... Pigeons. That is all I have to say.

There's the three gorilla godlings/demons she created in the process of mutilating her sister
There is also the spirit/corporeal beast, which I suspect was one of hers, unless it is just a transdimensional alien

It's said that Link has a Special Bond with his bird that even made his bff forever and ever jealous, and, as you can see in this icon, he loooves his bird.

I think Leslie would like a pet, but she's just always too busy to really care for one. Given the amount of time she spends at April and Andy's and Ben's place, she probably does spend a lot of time around April and Andy's three-legged dog Champion, but I don't think she'd feel that comfortable adopting a pet for herself unless she knew she'd have really have time to dedicate to it. She does, however, love dogs, cats, and fish. (But not turtles. They're condescending.)
(And there was the time she adopted out an entire animal shelter, but um, that was temporary.)
There are, weirdly, pet-worthy creatures in the Land of the Dead, but the closest Manny gets to having one is his involvement in breeding talking skeletal carrier pigeons.

And Gibbs was from a similar situation, in a time where you owned animals for practical reasons.
But Kirk canonically (if belatedly) had a dog, introduced in his last film. I figure Jim had dogs on and off throughout his whole life. He always treated them like family members. But never took any into space. That would have been nuts.
Howard probably had a dog in his youth, but he never got too attached. It was likely a way to buy his loyalty from his difficult dad.

Will's taken care of stray animals in Sherwood but never had pets of his own.
William has Horus who he loves and who is more of a pet than a mouser due to Milliways.
Jane doesn't have any pets though her family has some farm animals, there might be a dog or cat around but I don't recall one.
Moist loves dogs, he grew up around them since his grandfather trained them and Franz is partly his.
Sameth's family has an odd relationship with cat shaped creatures thanks to Yrael, so pets aren't something he thinks of. Most people don't have the fun association of the cat shaped creature wants to kill you and your family. Also he's from a rather medieval worlds which means there are hunting dogs but not pets.
Demeter's plants and her land are what she cares for. I think she likes animals but she's not like Artemis and her dogs, any stray animals will be fed by her, but the kinds of strays she takes care of are more people.
I don't see Charles as having pets, I could see him possibly wanting one as a little kid but not getting one. I think he finds animals restful as they have fewer and simpler thoughts but he's never had a pet.
Narnia has Talking Animals, which makes pets rather awkward, they're much more family. None for Tumnus though he's friends with many Talking Animals.
I think there might have a been a bird somewhere on the ship in Pirates of Penzance but I'm not sure. Pets aren't something I really see the Pirate King having.

However, roll forward about a year (his time, it's going to take less than that bar time), and he'll be getting Horus, a Peregrine Falcon, who is very much treated as family.

Hank never had pets and I have a hard time imaging why. Books were too interesting I guess.
Julie had the family dog but if she could get her wish it would be for a My Little Pony, likely a Pegasus so they could fly together.
Mars had Rome but then it went turned on him. ; p
I also can't see Kate with a pet. She has a hard enough time with what family she has.
Garfield had monkeys and other wild life before he became Beast Boy, now he is the pet!
Palamedes would have preferred horses and birds of prey but it's not quite the same.
Thalia...I can see her having a rat when she was a kid but something bad happened to it and it is likely her mothers fault.

Tyler, Ako and Artemis for space reasons mostly. Tyler once got his daughter some fish. They died in a few weeks.
Robo never really bonded with anything, between being with Mr. Tesla and saner about pigeons when he was younger.
Over in sandboxville, Marika never got a pet because she was being secretly raised to run a pirate space ship. Pets in space are... generally off the table.
Rio, not that I've done anything with her in quite a few months is the only exception with a pet ferret name Chip who roams freely through the resort acting as an occasional plot device.

The Trickster occasionally conjures up...I can't remember what kind of dog it is. I want to say a Boston terrier? Anyway. Sometimes he conjures it up to keep him company or pull off a prank. He named it Sparky. (I guess you could argue that all of his illusions are pets to some extent, though. With, um, all the creepiness that implies when some of those illusions are human women. *wincing hard*)
Mac and Olivia don't have pets.
And skipping ahead to yet-to-be-approved pups: Bolin has Pabu the fire ferret. See icon. :D?

Lucas has Boney, who is both the family dog and a valued member on the Mother 3 playable team. I'd say he's of higher than normal intelligence for a dog, as he knows how to set off bombs if they're placed in his inventory. He and Lucas can communicate due to Lucas's PSI. There's also a brief chapter with a focus on a monkey named Salsa, whom Lucas and Kumatora readily defended when Fassad abused him via an electroshock collar. In the spot where I have Lucas in canon now, he's about to encounter Salsa and his girlfriend Samba in the Chimera Lab. And thinking of that, animals in Mother 3 are downright freaky thanks to the Chimera Lab. Poor creatures. They all started out fairly good but being turned into a chimera tends to make them brainwashed and crazy.

Then he befriended a stray Irish wolfhound (how an Irish wolfhound becomes a stray in New York City, I'll never know) the size of a small pony. The dog was too stupid to play fetch or Find the Whiskey, but Tommy loved him anyway.
Tommy once wore one of those photo t-shirts, (you know, the kind that you get at the mall or something that says #1 DAD or whatever), and it had a picture of an Irish wolfhound named Clancy. Through LEGIT RESEARCH, I found that the dog on the show was Denis Leary's own dog, Clancy (and it had died some time after the series taped, which was why we never saw it again). But I was trying to figure out an in-canon way to explain Tommy's t-shirt -- former family pet? former firehouse dog? I can only speculate.
Then there was Tommy's cousin's childhood dog, Bootsie, the pantry-shitter. Tommy hated that thing.

Shephard's had a number of pets, both regular dogs and "ADRIAN SHEPHARD WHY ARE THERE FROGS IN YOUR UNDERSHORTS??" type of pets, as a kid. He was petless as of joining the Marines, but missed animals terribly, and wound up domesticating a houndeye and later her puppies.

Now that Enzo's at the Academy, though, he doesn't get to see Frisket so much. But on the other hand, there is a new generation of young Matrices for Frisket to guard, so it works out.
