I am always asking that question for Knox, who is currently at September 25, 1995. Looks like the biggest story of the day was the withdrawal of Bosnia from peace talks in that horrid war. Civil rights pioneer Anne Delany died that day at the age of 104.

For Kirk, it's July 23, 2291 or so. History has yet to be written.

For Gibbs, it's somewhere around 1750. Doesn't seem like anything noteworthy took place on July 23 then.

Howard Stark has been in October 1943 for some time, while I wait to coordinate canon. The legendary (and patently untrue) Philadelphia Experiment took place on October 28 of that year. Howard no doubt knew about this experiment to give a ship stealth abilities, but his own assignments prevented him from being part of the tests.

And AvatarWorld has an entirely different system of recording time, so this makes no sense, but given that in our world, on July 23, 1903, the Ford Motor Company sold its first car... well, we'll say Future Industries sold its first Satomobile at some point.

Tommy never gets to July 23, 2012 in canon, but I hope to God that he's being a better parent, because JFC already.

And just for kicks, I looked up "Rescue Me" air dates. Though I know they don't correspond to the actual time frame within the show, the closest air date to July 23 was the series premiere, July 21, 2004 -- in which Tommy delivered a speech to the class of FDNY graduates; Mike the Probie got assigned to his firehouse; the guys had a pool going on his divorce (60%/40%); and he was devising secret evil plans to sabotage the relationship between his wife and her yuppie boyfriend.

1948 - July 21: A Boeing B-29-100-BW Superfortress crashes into Lake Mead, remaining mostly intact.

1969 - July 16: The Virgo II Lunar Lander Valiant 11 with U.S.S.A. astronauts Captain Richard Wade, Captain Mark Garris, and Captain Michael Hagen lands on the Moon. The astronauts become the first humans to walk on a celestial body other than Earth

2052 - July 27: The United Nations is officially disbanded.

2236 - July 20: Enclave scouts discover the remains of the Mariposa Military Base and find it partially destroyed.

2241 - July 25, 08:24: Fallout 2 begins - The Chosen One begins his mystic test, descending into the Temple of Trials like his mother before him.

2242 - July 20: Arroyo is attacked by Enclave soldiers, and the villagers are enslaved and brought to the Oil Rig. The Chosen One has a fourth and final vision of Hakunin.

I'm not going to do everyone, because I wouldn't even know where to begin, but a few things pop out at me.

I get the feeling Porthos would have some passive interest in the 300 colonists who departed for New France out of Dieppe, on July 23, 1632. At that time in his canon he's already married to a very rich woman, and has retired to the countryside.

In July of 3002, Bender joined Beck on tour and Leela, along with the rest of the Planet Express crew, followed them around the planet. Wearing tie-dye. In a van. Yep. It's also worth noting that the "eyePhone" will be released in July 3010 and used for our zombification. You have been warned.

On July 23, 2506, for Zoë the Unification War would have just begun. It's also speculated that's around the time Pax was released into the atmosphere of Miranda. On July 23, 2517, the crew was likely preparing for the events of Bushwhacked.

The 24 timeline is a mess, though none of Renee's canon events seem to happen in the month of July. However, she would have definitely taken note of July 23, 1993, when Sarah Deal became the first woman Marine selected for naval aviation training.

July, 1865, is a pivotal month in Lily's canon. It's where her story begins with the Transcontinental Railroad, and the mobile town of Hell on Wheels.
