Daily Entertainment.
First, business:
I am starting a new job very soon, but that means I am leaving my current one (aka, the one that is weird enough that I've been pulling off Daily Entertainment posts for about the last five years or so). I'd like to ask someone to consider emailing me at milliways.mal at gmail in order to take them over. This is only vaguely srs bsns, as I'd like to make sure that they don't fall off the grid, so to speak, but if I don't get any responses I'll see how doing them before I leave to go warp young minds every day goes.
Second, topic:
What Olympic sport would your pup compete in, and would they win?

Anywho,
ShortieLink at the Olympics:Fencing - this one is obvious, and yyyeah he'd probably win.
Diving - he does this like all the time. Okay, it's skydiving, but when he gets the ability to swim he dives very gracefully (and jumps out of water just as gracefully)!
The biggest problem he would run in to with any sport, though, is that he has the world's worst endurance.

Cy: He used to do track, but his weight prevents him from running fast despite his bionics.
Charlie: Judo or some other martial arts. And he would be do really well. (Parenthetically, the classic miniseries Kingdom Come told us that in that alternate future, events like the Olympics died as it became clear the superheroes did everything too well. Though that would be the metahumans and not people like Charlie.)
My others aren't that athletically inclined.

Thalestris: Equestrian vaulting, which was an Olympic sport in 1920 so it TOTALLY COUNTS DAMMIT.
Adrian: Pistol, rapid fire pistol, rifle prone, and rifle three positions. Although he'd probably be disqualified after they saw his prosthetic, given how much trouble Pistorius had getting in with his prosthetics and those weren't magically responsive.
Gordon: Trap and double trap shooting. Man loves his shotgun. He'd do pretty well but I don't know that he'd win.
Varric: Crossbow isn't an Olympic sport; that's the only thing he'd compete in, if it were.
Arcade: Is actually surprisingly good with a pistol, but it's an energy pistol, so he'd have to compete in the Olympics some time after around 2040 or so.
Ellen: .... I'm kinda tired of saying my pups would be in the shooting events. 3000 meter steeplechase. The Capital Wasteland landscape makes jumping over obstacles practically mandatory and she does it for hours on end while carrying heavy loads. I'd put her in cross country instead if that were an Olympic event but it hasn't been since the 20s.
Belar and Mordin aren't competing on the grounds that they're not human. Medic isn't competing, he's over with the coaches working on means of concealing blood doping.

But anyway.
Felix would... I'm not actually sure. It's my headcanon that he's pretty much no good at water or guns... as far as I know he's never so much as touched a bow... he's used to swords that are rather heavier than epees or foils... I suppose he might try one of the longer-distance runs, though I don't imagine he'd do very well at that.
Kain takes high jump. No question.
Fluttershy requires a major revision of the rules, to account for pegasus abilities. But after that... I could see her trying for one of the gymnastic events. Possibly with a blindfold.
Cranky... Cranky can be a commentator for the opening and closing ceremonies.

River: is good at the core skill set of a lot of these, but is very bad at keeping herself within strict arbitrary rules, which would completely handicap her in things like gymnastics and fencing. I guess one of the shooting events. She'd be good at any of them -- and competitive at this level, because gunslinger.
Regan: Used to love playing darts, and be very good at it; she's got good eye-hand coordination, although she has no practice and negative interest in aiming at anything but targets. So I guess she too could work herself up to decent levels at a shooting event, although not really Olympic competitive levels. She'd lose.
Trowa: Oh lordy. Well, one of the military pistol or military rifle events, maybe, but I'll say high jump instead, based on all the gravity-defying flips he does -- oh, wait, no. Totally diving.
Uzura: Uh. No. She will be in the stands with popcorn and a noisemaker.
Clare: Is disqualified on account of being part-demon with superhuman powers! Otherwise, she'd clean up in basically anything requiring strength and speed -- weight-lifting, anything in track and field, etc etc. Not so good at the ones requiring artistry, though.

(I mean REALLY.)

Yrael: Freestyle napping.
Sunshine:
Iron Chefno subject
Merlin: Disqualified due to being magic. He'd help out in the medical area, though.
John: Also in the medical area, though he could probably do some track events.
Jack: Disqualified due to being a god.
Stuart: I see him as a swimmer or diver. He'd love the response he got wearing those tiny suits.
Steve: Uh. All of them?
Peter: Shooting is the obvious answer, though I can also see him being surprisingly good at table tennis.

Imp: If the old-school art competitions were still going, he'd be best suited to those, though I don't know if music was ever a thing...
Red: Possibly the marathon. Just don't hold it over a full moon.
Claudia's doing tech support for the judges, Apollo's a special judge for the archery events, Regulus declines (even in the hypothetical Olympic quidditch that exists in my headcanon, since in my headcanon not everyone bought into secrecy), and Cata is probably helping Medic conceal doping. XD

Xamot and Tomax would be too busy bribing the judges and officials to actually compete.
I would've thought Rabastan couldn't compete at all, being magic, but I think he'd do well in equestrian—as the horse [provided the rules allowed for riderless].

WHO WILL KEEP ME ENTERTAINED?!?!
I would offer to take DE, but...we all know how good I am at putting the Happy Hour thread up on Mondays. *cough*
Mike would excel at running and gymnastics. Particularly the pommel horse...possibly the rings. At fighting weight he can run a 4 minute mile. Okay, maybe table tennis, but only if he could compete like this.
Raph...baseball, hockey, probably the rings. I'd like to see him wrestle, because I think he'd be good at that...though, he'd also be likely to cheat.
Splinter could do Judo...I think? Maybe?
Aang would rock the track, but...only if he was allowed to airbend. I don't think he'd find any of the gymnastics stuff all that challenging given what he can do as a 40 year old.
Bumi would kick your ass at the kayak, and possibly Judo. I would say fencing, but that's an entirely different style of sword play than he's used to.
Ida wins at chess. She just does. Which is why they don't let her compete.
As for the Loompas, they'll be providing the opening and closing ceremony entertainment.

It's not a summer sport, but I imagine Leslie at least at some point had a dream of being an Olympic figure skater. When it comes to what she can actually manage, however, she is an excellent hunter, and so would probably actually manage pretty well with an air rifle (though not like, Olympic-competitive level - but then again, "fishing" with Ron Swanson is nothing to sneeze at). I think she's also probably had a decent amount of experience with horseback-riding, so... equestrian events? Um.
Manny's Great Moments of Physical Prowess involve a lot of him falling off cliffs and getting beat up, soooo... he'll just watch on TV.
Asami would actually have the discipline for judo. But it's too bad for her that race car driving isn't an Olympic sport, because she'd own that.

And FENCING. How could I forget fencing?
Thayet would probably be busy beating Alanna at archery.
Grace? Shooting, definitely. Maybe track and field. She's not disciplined enough for gymnastics.
Jim is a born equestrian.
Lizzie would like sailing.
Doctor Evil. Hmmm. Well, he did take all those luge lessons...

Ramon: shooting
Harry: Hmm. What's like flying? Pole vault? I could see him as a cyclist.
Bruce: any of the martial arts. And/or gymnastics.

I have some idea about how she would do in certain events, mainly martial arts- Boxing - Disqualified for cheating
- Fencing - Disqualified for cheating
- Judo - Disqualified for cheating
- Taekwondo - Disqualified for cheating
- Wrestling - Disqualified for cheating
- Walking - Disqualified for cheating
- Discus, javelin - She might actually excel at these, though she would probably aim for the judges down field.
- Archery, other shooting events - probably mediocre at this
- Gymnastics - also mediocre
- Handball - Red card in the first five minutes
- Weightlifting - Cheating for the gold, won't get caught :P

Lady Mary would compete in equestrian and win because she is better than you. (Haha, take that Alanna.) Also because she has lots of money and no responsibilities to speak of that would prevent her from training all the time. Plus, canonically, riding if one of the few things she actually likes.

Tavi would probably mostly do fencing. He could probably get a medal. He's used to a different kind of sword, though, but maybe epee or saber would do. Chess he'd probably win.

Will: Archery or wrestling, though rules might be tricky. He's a really good fighter.
Charles: While I think he knows how to do many sports and is competent at many of them, his focus is intellectual. He can referee things.
William: Shooting or various equestrian sports, Dan made sure his boys know how to shoot.
Sameth: Fencing or equestrian or rugby which will be a sport next Olympics.
Moist: *snorts* Running or equestrian.
Jane: None, though she'd watch eagerly.
Demeter: She'll help the winners celebrate and insure good weather.
Tumnus: Not human, so wouldn't work.
The Pirate King: Sailing or fencing.

Dixie: All-around flirting
Juliet: Sharpshooting!
Pinkie: wins every bake-off ever!
