The bar has been a little quieter this weekend due to D*C, but I know that everyone has still been involved in neat things, be it in-game or out there in the wild world of RL. Whether you had fun with a thread or you made a tiramisu from scratch, we want to hear about it! What has everyone been up to this holiday (for some) weekend? Anything interesting happening next week?

I made pumpkin bread from scratch!

But that's really nbd as I am a ~chef~

...a super amateur chef. But if it helps I made pizza from scratch last night, too, and that's something I do like once a week.

I haven't been living up to my chef cred lately. But I did make crockpot lasagna today!

Where the lasagna was a hit with all of our guests!

If you've ever made lasagna before, it's pretty much that in a crockpot. For mine, I used a mix of ground beef and Italian sausage, onions, mushrooms, and black olives. I browned the meat, mixed it and the veggies in tomato sauce, and put that down as the bottom layer in the crockpot. Then I did a layer of dry oven-ready lasagna noodles, a layer of cheese, and repeated until I reached the top. I cooked it on low for three to four hours.

It is delish. :D

It was the last day at my old, detested job last Friday, and I start the new one on Monday!

Also, my Milliways shirt arrived, and my friend the Nazgul found a Lego Loki onna keychain for me at the Lego shop.

I took advantage of the blue moon to let Amascut have some uncharacteristic fun and and get some showing off done. Water Balloon fight!

People are welcome to tag in at any point of the Amascut-Yrael thread or start your own threads and mention being a casualty of the not'catfight. It is part of a party post, after all. Two pup threads in a place as crowded and diverse as Milliways is supposed to be always struck me as odd, anyway. Well, multipup threads can result in slowtime and cat-herding hell, but still.

I made it through the welcome back week part of my new job, finished all my paperwork, and even had time to do some rearranging in my library. The bulletin board area now has library stuff and books in front of it. I still have a lot to do and some will take more doing than others, but teachers keep coming up to me and asking me if I can help. Also everyone is excited by my ideas and on Tuesday, there will be students.

Since my schedule is looking to be busy in the morning, afternoon, I've had time for a good bit of RP.

Charles met Puck, it went oddly. He also talked again with Mark Grayson, I really like their friendship.

Jane had an EP that was a mix, Zevran rather charmed her as Urquhart bored her. She also spoke with Zelda and they bonded over books.

Demeter went to Orpheus' opening party and had various fun talks. At Jack's Party, I've got a couple of pups about; Dem and Jack, Dem swimming and talking to Rae and Teja, Charles and Mal are also finally meeting, and Will's over by the dancing and open for tags.

Moist got an EP last night as I realized its been too long since I played him and had an idea. That's very much open.

In the sandboxes, I haven't been doing too much but there is one thread that made me smile as it completely surprised me. Teen Charles and the Joker hit it off, warning for making out in that thread as well as two rather odd characters.

Yes, I didn't get a chance to see Bruce's last EP due to how busy I've been, but Charles will probably get one sooner rather than later.

I've had much RP fun, starting with Sunshine's and Eric's little - argument last weekend, that led to time in the cells. And for Eric - a fairy snack once he was released. Also his new surname, which I have decided that Teja gave him.

He is also trying to shock Tommy, but haven't quite gotten there yet.

Elsewhere, Elrond was very briefly cast in a role that often involves a shotgun. He also met new people and people he already knew :)

If Eric ever tags into a Voodoo Happy Hour post, Voodoo is going to be in for a very rude shock when he finds out that Eric really isn't joking when it comes to the whole 'being-a-vampire' thing.

WELL. Friday-Saturday I did a 24-hr musical down at the local theatre - that is, we turned up at 7.30pm on Friday, found out what the musical was ('Mame' - no, I'd never heard of it either), and rehearsed straight through until the performance on Saturday at 7.30.

I am still utterly spaced out, although I slept twelve hours after we finished. Still have songs stuck in my head, my whole body aches from dancing and staged falls, and I keep cringing when I remember the Irish accent I ended up with. HELLS YEAH.


Otherwise, this Summer I have been working on my MA dissertation, half of which is a blog on food history, posted here! It's due on Friday, along with an essay half. WISH ME LUCK.

I'm finally not as sick as I was! WHOO! Slowly working on post-pneumonia catching up on tags plus trying to carry four online classes and considering writing things.

Not doing any of which very well as I fail at multitasking.

Life has been extra stressful the last month as those of you following me on twitter have had to deal with. Between being broke, sick, and now dealing with CPS my life is kind of a pretty shade of hell. So, I'm happy to be finally threading again.
