Apps are on, so bring out your potentials!

HOW TO PLAY:

* Tag into this post with a character you're thinking of apping to the bar with a brief EP set within Milliways and/or its universe. You can be new to the game, or simply testing a new character.

* If you already play at Milliways - or if you don't - feel free to tag in with your own characters and interact with the new characters. If you have a character in the game, you can also post your own EPs for these new characters to thread with.

* Mingle, post, and have fun!

In brief: there's a new patron lurking over by the door, very hesitant and wide eyed.

One might first take note of the garb, which is plain by some standards but well-made - a hand-stitched garment of long sleeves and rounded neckline, the hem reaching to below his knees, where one sees trousers in the same material. Handmade, like every last thread on his body. His feet are bare, his person unadorned save for his eyes, which are lined with kohl.

And what of his body? What can be said that isn't hiding under fabric and thread?

There are of course the eyes, which as noted are lined with kohl, as are the eyebrows; arched and open in undisguised alarm. The hair, parted at the center and swept from his face; the true Persian looks undisguised by carmine, which he would never use.

Were he a man, he might be considered young, but as the eunuch and once-catamite he is, he has long since passed the threshold between youth and old age. Nevertheless, he has kept his looks well enough - what he lacks in youth he makes up for in other ways, like experience.

However, no amount of experience could have prepared him for this - not just the concept of a Bar at the End of the Universe, but a bar full stop. A bar full of people in strange clothing and stranger hair, and not just people but creatures of myth.

No, surely this must be the kind of dream that comes before the waking; a fevered dream shared with his King as he finds his way across the bridge to the paradise of his own gods.
