DE: Anarchy in the backroom

Today's topic is...WHATEVER! Post in with a pup you haven't played in a while or a pup that is stuck in canon and waiting for you to get to that OOM. Break the Fourth Wall. Start a prompt thread. Mash-Up your canon with another. Whatever, just have fun!

And one minor bit of Housekeeper, I know by the time I get up the morning is already well underway in the many places you folks live so if a DE topic hits you and you have the urge to post it before I've posted the DE, feel free! I don't mind sharing.

Also, today is looking very busy at my work so I am going to have to beg slows until Monday for Mars, Beast Boy and Palamedes.

I'd love to talk about crossovers. I recently finished rereading The Once and Future King and now wish there was someway that I could have conversations between Charles and Arthur. I don't now the mechanics of it but I really want to read it or try to write it.

What crossovers would you love to read or write that you've never seen?

Also today is going to be a long day for me, its raining here, I feel sleepy and ready for the long weekend.

I still would love to read/see the Fantastic Four as a Japanese fable or Kurosawa film.

Oh that could work really well. Did you see the fanart someone did of Batman as a samurai?

I'm pretty sure I could get Moby-Dick to work as a samurai movie if I really tried. Then again I also did a half-page crossover between Moby-Dick and the Cthulhu Mythos called The Pequod Horror.

I could see both of those working. Ahab would fit in well in some parts of Lovecraft's world.

And now I just remembered that Danny Glover as Ahab hunting dragons movie I had meant to see but more to the point, I love this idea!

Percy Jackson as The Rocky Horror Picture Show:
Luke is Frank-n-furter
Thalia is Columbia
Percy is Brad
Annabeth is Janet
Grover kind of works as Riff Raff
Chiron is Dr. Scott
Clarise is maybe Magenta but that gets really weird for Grover.
The Narrator would be Dionysus.
I have no idea who would be Rocky or Eddy.

Its too bad there hasn't been a version of the Pygmalion story because that's the best way to get Eddy.

Oh have you watched Henson's Storyteller take on the Greek Myths? I don't like all of them but they're fascinating.

Am trying to think of PBs for genderswapped Avengers (for fic, but hey, sandbox RPing might be interesting at some point). Specifically Stephanie Rogers and Phyllis Coulson, though Toni Stark, Bryce Banner, Claire Barton, Nicolai Romanov and Nicole Fury would help too.

Diane Lane is exactly the right age for Coulson, and Carrie-Ann Moss is tempting me as well, though they're both more glamorous than Coulson would be. :D

What's a fourth wall?

The wall between fiction and reality. It's what separates actors and audience. It comes from theater: the front of the stage is basically "the fourth wall" of the room the actors are in.

When we break the fourth wall, it allows pups and muns to talk to each other.

Not planning on coming back here, but I'm gonna be pushing the mun to get back to work on her slagging AU. Neither one of us can believe that pile of mine tailings they called Dark of the Moon.

Sorry Ironhide, but I just had a moment of... oh wait, *that* Dark of the Moon. What immediately sprang to mind there was a phenomenal (IMO) P. C. Hodgell series, and then I went... oooooh wait, wrong canon.

So guys, I am like five times happier today than I was yesterday. This is mostly because I finally have an explanation for my sudden apathy/moroseness, and that my reason for failing to do a thing for one class is true.
