What sort of expeditions or trips do your pups like to do? Would they rather spend their time in the outdoors looking for geocaches or hiking or would they prefer to wander around a museum or a big city? Do they like going on trips where you can really forget everything like cruises or resorts or would they rather enjoy the details of planning?
Brought you by the fact that I'm thinking about going to the zoo this weekend if the weather's nice in celebration of my getting an apartment! I won't be able to move in until near the end of the month but I have one.
As an example, I see Charles as liking both kinds depending on what's going on with his life. There are times when he's happiest wandering The Cloisters or inside one of the Oxford libraries and ignoring that the rest of the world exists. Yet I also have a fic idea that I really need to write of him and Raven going to New York City in the 1950s as teenagers and getting caught up in the night life. Since I see Raven as the one who pulls Charles into things with even more people, because he likes people but she's the one who knows how to find great parties.
In terms of planning he's a mix, he enjoys sometimes seeing what happens but he tends to have a certain measure of planning.

Sunshine is very much a homebody - most of her trips are day-trips only. Only partially because being Head Baker leaves little time for having a life, she's more likely to plan an outing with her friend Aimil to explore an old book or junk sale somewhere in New Arcadia or a neighboring town. She and Mel occasionally go hiking out in the woods, as well, but they're always back before sundown.
Zelgadiss is always traveling, but his purpose for traveling usually has him gravitating towards museums and old temples rather than the sights of a city or countryside. He does not appreciate spontaneity so much as keeping to a good, solid plan.

Fluttershy would love a trip to the zoo. Apparently there is one within walking distance of Ponyville, but there's been no follow-up on that. Assuming it's a good, clean, well-maintained zoo, of course; cramped cages and the like are a major turn-off.

Adrian is nearly always gonna prefer being outdoors. Mountain or forest region, for preference. Not a big fan of desert hiking or travel but it's not the worst thing in the world. The only rainforest/jungle he's been to has been the Amazon, and only briefly, but he'd consider going back if he didn't have to go during high summer. He would, however, prefer not to visit Australia again.
Ellen is not really sure what the question means. Expeditions aren't things you do because you want to, they're things you do because that is your daily life. In Vault 101 you didn't get vacations- downtime, sure, maybe one day off of work duty out of every seven, but not vacations- and on the surface, travel was what you did to get to a place you had to do something else. She's visited other people's worlds for various tasks, too. I think the only actual vacation she's had was the trip to Bryan Mills' world to see what DC looked like before the War.

Hunting expeditions especially, specifically the kind that used to happen around the late 19th century/early 20th century on Earth. The ones that sent several species into the extinct and the endangered categories. *headdesk*
Despite sending numerous people on these types of "hunting" expeditions everyday and engaging in them herself, nothing ever goes extinct. Mines never run out of ores either, there is no overfishing except in the case of Witchaven, and so on. There's talk about it, but it never actually happens. I blame MMO game mechanics.

If he's on holiday: beach, then pub.

Hank would go for science museums at this point in canon. Later he will aim for more cultural types of museums.
Palamedes doesn't know what this question means but he does enjoy hunting more than siting around the castle drinking or listening to tales or music.
Jessica is a city girl unless there is an ocean around.
Thalia avoids historical sites due to the big reveal in The Lost Hero. At present she would prefer geocaching and hiking to museums.

But he'd much rather be in a museum, looking at artefacts and stuff from the ancient past. He was epically gutted to have been in London (Heathrow stopovers) and never getting to go to the British Museum.
Erik actually quite likes wandering around the countryside. The peace and quiet means he tends to come up with some surprising fresh reinterpretations of data there.
Alfred meanwhile, prefers holidays where he can relax, forget about life back home and wander as he feels. Hence, he goes to Florence, these days.
New pup(s) bonus: Max Epper enjoys museums, but he'd sooner be out looking for new stuff to find, rather than looking at the stuff that's already been found. Bean doesn't do vacations. He doesn't know how.

It would help if it wouldn't constantly change around due to
narrative conveniencereasons.I'm not sure what Ava would even do with a vacation at this point. But it might be hilarious to find out!

Also, from Ava's inner mind theatre this week, because I feel you may appreciate it:
You know, Sameth's a prince. And he makes me kickass magical jewelry and brings me brownie sundaes when other people yell at me. I should really work on having a crush on him.
I'm not sure who to apologize to first ...

I think he'd probably do something like thank you for thinking of me that way, because he's been trained to be so polite.

SAM IT'S OK, SHE'S JUST BEING GRUMPY.
BUT IN A WAY THAT DOESN'T INVOLVE DEMONS.

Asami is one I've been thinking about with this, because her family certainly has the resources to travel, and as Satomobiles seem pretty ubiquitous, I'd have to imagine that Hiroshi would travel for his job. Not to mention their main product is something that makes long-distance transportation a much more viable option for a lot of people. So I tend to think she's been to cities like Ba Sing Se and the Fire Nation capitol, and is the sort of person who would read-her-guideboook and visit landmarks and all that. Maybe because I sort of associate Hiroshi with Theodore Roosevelt, I also tend to think he's a bit outdoorsy now that he can afford to be, and so he and Asami have probably taken a few trips that involved staying in cabins or tents, which is how she's learned to do some basic chores, even if she doesn't need to do them at home. If left to her own devices, Asami would probably prefer brief camping-type trips, and in cities likes historical landmarks and, if they exist, nautical/war/history museums. And shopping. She wouldn't be so much for art museums or things like that, unless it was some particular thing you should really do while in the city, like Ba Sing Se opera. Which I say is a thing.
Leslie is naturally the type of person who when she travels makes a clear itinerary, reads about a dozen guidebooks, and plans out every moment. I haven't decided if she's traveled outside the U.S., but she has been to New York and D.C., and I think she's been to major US landmarks like Mount Rushmore and the Grand Canyon, as well as other major cities, and Disneyworld. It's hard to believe she hasn't been to Disneyworld. If she hasn't traveled abroad, it's only because she hasn't had the money and/or time to do so. But I also think she gets homesick pretty quickly, which is something she's going to have to deal with if she wants to seek state- or federal-level elected office. As it is, though, it can also mean that if she ever takes any vacation/day off time (which she doesn't like to), she'd be just as happy to spend it in I guess what is wooded area around Pawnee, fishing or hunting or making s'mores. With her emergency s'more rations. Which is actually a thing for her.
Manny, ironically, is a travel agent who can't go anywhere. Though "travel" in the Land of the Dead is really all about the smoothest way to get to your destination. Even when he's finally able to leave, I believe Manny later calls his trip across the Land of the Dead "the worst vacation I've ever had." Regardless, Manny's also a super-competitive worker who does things like accidentally come in on Saturdays, so I don't think he was much for vacations when he was alive, either.

Merlin likes discovering new books. Libraries send him into ecstasies.
Bilbo just likes a relaxing stroll with a good walking stick and a hearty meal at the end. Picnics, too, and resting after.
The Green Man is adaptable when it comes to vacations. He likes going to new places--or rather, old places that he hasn't been to for a few centuries--and he's equally at home camping as staying in a nice hotel and doing things like going to the theater and taking walking tours. The whole world is there for exploring.
Stuart likes the occasional weekend in Paris. He's young enough that he hasn't really explored what his ideal vacation is yet. I can see him liking the Greek islands a lot as he gets older, and maybe some sort of adventure holiday like climbing to Manchu Picchu.

Dix can't imagine life without work in it, honestly. She'd probably say Paris in the springtime.
Pinkie's a roamer, an explorer, but she'd say "anyplace where my friends are."
Juliet would say something simple, like the spa vacation she takes with Shawn in s5.
