If there's one thing in the world that can attract the attention of Chell, it's cake.

She's frozen, staring uncertainly at the delicious treat. Is it safe to approach? Will the floor open up and send her to Android Hell if she does? Is it filled with poison? Maybe it's an illusion, and there's really no cake there at all...

Unconsciously, she hugs her burnt Companion Cube to her chest while she considers the possibilities.

The cake is not a lie, Chell, trust her.

She accidentally makes a great show of very, very slowly reaching for the cake before grabbing a whole slice and plunging it into her mouth. She then spots Chell and grins at her, waving a cake-covered hoof and sprinkling crumbs as she talks.

It's almost like watching something deeply sacrilegious, the way Pinkie Pie blatantly has no respect for the cake, for the kind of things people have done in the name of cake.

Maybe it's a hologram. Chell awkwardly raises a hand in a clumsy mirror of Pinkie's greeting.
