Hahahaha we saw this at brunch and were super happy.

Without a doubt, this week I am proudest that I actually finished Wendy Watson threads. This has BASICALLY NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE, YOU GUYS ARE GREAT.

Also, already loving the hell out of Slenderplot. I've threaded with some great characters who normally just aren't in my orbit.

I seem to be slowing getting back to things as Ben gets involved with the Slender Man plot. He meets a Steve Rogers from another world (fyi we're handwaving that they never talk about Ben's Steve Rogers) and then after a week of not being able to stop thinking about that dad blamed tree, he's chatting with Will Scarlett.

Palamedes and Urquhart finished talking which has left Palamedes thinking about ethics and honor. I also am changing his PB to Oded Fehr as he seems more in line with my head canon of my hybrid Palamedes (the Nicholas Flamel series plus Arthurian myth plus historical facts).

Lastly, I've got secret things afoot with Thalia and have been playing Andrea Nash with Bean in the test drive DE.

I've not done much on the RP front. Well, Carol did attack an innocent door, so that was fun.

I have mostly been wrapping threads I started last weekend (or earlier!)

These include: Jack West and Slenderman, Sunshine, Enzo, the latter featuring Slendy!plot issues.

I have also finished, all threads from Alfred's EP are now finished. (Except the Margolotta thread, but I think we're approaching a fade there).

And finally, I've been having a great giggle with Bean (

aintwortha) in the test drive DE.

Okay, second try for this as the hotel wifi ate my first response. Its been a busy but good week for me. I found an apartment that I get to move into at the end of the month and maybe sooner, I'm living in a different hotel but one that gives me an actual kitchen. I helped to teach my first classes and it went well, there were three so the first one was tricky but I felt more confident by the end. Today I went to the zoo and it was wonderful, there's something about wandering around a zoo full of kids to feel like relaxed. This was a real day off, more than I've had in a long time.

I wrote two fics: Only the moon howls, a Ruby Lucas' fic for one of Jill's prompts and What's Mine, a Natasha fic with a Mystique appearance for Ashie. I feel like my writing groove has returned now that the weight of knowing where I'm living is gone.

Now my pups have been very busy, mainly with the start of Slendyplot but other stuff has well.

Charles met and was fangirled by Wendy Watson, had an EP, reconnected with Red, and talked Slendy symbols with Natalie.

William had an EP, was shocked and confused by Oswin Oswald, talked Slendyplot with Ava, and met Tenzin.

Demeter had an OOM as she's still thinking about what happened with Gaeta.

Will had an EP, that's still open dealing with some Slendystuff.

I finished a slowtime! In which Olivia Dunham and Charlie McGee discover they have a few more things in common.

Then I turned around and promptly chucked both Olivia and Bolin (and Pabu, by extension) into the Slenderplot. :D After his brush with the great, creepy outdoors, Bolin also had a chat with Steve Rogers that...somehow went from Things That Go Bump In The Night to Flirting With Girls 101 in ten minutes flat. Oh, Bolin. *giggling*

I am enjoying the hell out of the Slendy threads. Can't wait to see what you all do next.

Jack Bauer is back in the bar and I cannot wait to mess with him in the Slenderman plot. :D

I FINISHED THE WIRE!

All 60 hours of it. Talk about an investment.

Initial impressions - Simon's creations have always struck me as very sparse, no-frills docudramas (no surprise there, really, the man's a former journalist, their job is to be bland) and The Wire isn't an exception. My favorites were Bunk, Omar, Stringer, Freamon, and Bodie (he grew on me after Season Two).

I have some pretty nice slowtimes going. Not much else to report, Milliwise.

RL continues to be awful. I'm on the knife's edge in law school - behind on all my classes, midterms are coming up, and the depression I suffered through in my freshman years of high school and college has come back. I had thought I'd found my career path, but now I'm giving serious thought to quitting. But if I do, then what? I've no idea, and that's just about ALL that's stopping me from doing it right now. In the meantime, I'm going to try to schedule an appointment with a therapist tomorrow.

Sorry to bother you all with this, but I feel I just have to write it down somewhere.

I hope you can figure out a way forward and a good therapist. Take care of yourself.

If it helps at all, the head of the IT department at my office graduated from law school and then said 'fuck it' and changed fields- and my cousin David went to law school, worked as a lawyer for several years, and then said 'fuck it' and became a science teacher. There are other options, even now, if you change your mind. Talk to a therapist first, but remember that.

I'm sorry things aren't going well, and I hope seeing the therapist helps. I've been through law school (and just had to review all that first year stuff for the bar exams, whee), so if there's anything I can do to help out, feel free to let me know.

First I applied to a civilian job with the FDNY (please PLEASE ohgod PLEASE let my resume get picked).

Then I finished and posted Tommy's OOM.

Then I went on a steamship and got my photography on.

And then I bought this guy and named him Lou.

Workin' on slowtimes here, and a big, nasty OOM that is the first pivotal point in Mark's career. RL is taking most of my time, with this being the last week of my job and the move happening on the 20th.
